She remembered pain, she remembered laying down to take a rest at the mountain, floating in a dark, cold place and... that was it. The next thing was waking up with a blanket of snow atop her, a gasping breath wrenching her awake as she scrambled to her feet in preparation for --

She hadn't known. She had tried to figure it out, of course, but when nothing came, Keres saw nothing better to do other than set out on her own and see who she could find. Was Hydra here? Dirge? The valkyrie did not know, nor could she tell at first scent. And at that, not at first glance either. This land was... unknown.
Where the smell of cold, fresh air of the mountain had been, was instead sharp and rich scent of pine. The sound of water rumbled not far off, and instead of rock and shale beneath her feet, it was soft soil, damp and cold as it hid from sunlight.
