Quinn hadn't bothered to rest very much. Being in a new place, she was determined to know her surroundings, and possibly find some cats like herself. It still annoyed her to keep coming across wolves. Where were all the cats?! She was beginning to think there was a reason cats didn't hang around. Were they picked off by the wolves? She had gotten lucky so far, but maybe the others hadn't. Maybe she was having beginner's luck in this new place, and her luck would run out one day. Only time would tell.
She ended up back in the mountains. Mountains weren't her preferred plains, but since she was exploring, she figured she'd get them out of the way. Finding the lake was a happy accident, and she drank her fill of the water before sitting back on her haunches next to the edge. Her ears told her there was a waterfall nearby, but it wasn't on her agenda to check out. It was much too cold for her to consider a swim. The ground looked like it was starting to show signs of spring; tiny little green veins were sprouting up out of the dirt. She wondered how much of the area would show life once spring was in full bloom.
