These icy forests were not difficult to navigate. They were greatly similar to the place she once called home. Nanuktaaq traveled with ease, eyes wide and wary. It was a beautiful place. One enough so to call home and build her village.
Tall ridges loomed ahead, shielding the light from view. There would be caverns here, surely. A good enough place to build the perfect sleeping places. Some to harbor caches and crafts as well.
Weaving through the trees and loping through the snow, she paused to breath in the chilled, freshened air. It was a pleasant feeling. Freedom and independence. Sorrowing, in a way, as she missed her people. But new ones would come. She had woken here, so others surely must too.
