For Vanderfell wolves, but mainly for @Katja
Eloise was…..free.
No longer was she confined to the forest pack. Under the protection of the guard or even her parents. The familiar line of conifers she’d become so sick of was gone, and a completely new environment beheld her bright, viridescent eyes. A world of new beginnings where she could start her own story instead of being forced to live in someone else’s. The greed of creating a world of her own consumed her with every new step of the way. Eloise was indeed, free.
Yet freedom felt so terribly lonely.
It had been around two moons since she’d arrived here, her leg had since healed from the incident. Besides the few fated encounters along the way, Ellie had otherwise been on her lonesome. Her brother Edgar was still nowhere to be found, and neither were any of the forest wolves. The dame’s head hung low while walking, forlorn in the way she carried herself. Ungrateful was the girl who craved freedom — only to be presented with it and not knowing what to do with herself.
Homesick, then? No — even if she was, Eloise was far too stubborn to admit it. She was just fine without the lot!
The young fae’s mumbling and endless gait, unbeknownst to her, had led her straight over the borders of a pack. One that should’ve been so obvious, if only she’d been paying attention….
