“Your pack isn't going to up and chase me off for being here, are they?” He mused, tone half full of humor and half of genuine concern. If they did, he was in shit shape to high tail his ass out if they decided they didn't want him lingering too long here.

Ries kept an eye on Cain as they moved, concern evident in every feature of his body. His own head was aching and exhaustion was calling to him, threatening to have him fall asleep where he stood, but if Cain could do it, he was determined to, as well.

"No one's gonna chase you off," he assured, tail giving a tentative wag as he turned to look at the other man. "@Runar is just going to be glad you helped bring us some food. He's nice."

His brows drew together as they slowed to a halt at the borders. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again. Could never be too sure, after all, and Cain had gotten hurt on Ries' watch.
