PERSONALITY

Hera puts a great deal of effort when it comes to appearances, and works hard to push the narrative that her life is orderly and infallible. Confidence (but not arrogance) is key in most things, and as such she’s the sort to read twice and do once. Far from the type to mince her words, Hera is unafraid to share her opinions and thoughts in regard to almost any situation. Frequently, if that input is neglected, she is quick to take great offense and will almost certainly see it as a personal slight.

She is after all not the sort to talk just to talk, but rather possesses an eye for detail and a knack for reading between the lines. Her empathy stands to be one of the sharper skills in her arsenal, and lends her, at times, a unique perspective on matters concerning relationships both amorous and volatile. As such, once she’s settled on an opinion, it takes a mountain of evidence to the contrary and a length of time to get her to change her mind.

All of this kept in mind, she is no bluster-filled paper tiger. For as compassionate and mindful as Hera can be, she is just as much spiteful, vengeful, and stubborn to boot. Pride plays such a role in her existence, in fact, that Zeus’ dalliances and trysts continue to be a full-time job and a constant looming cloud on her radar. Making a part-time job for herself out of sweeping familial filth under the rug, she has more or less given up on the idea of leashing her partner, but refuses to allow him to run publicly rampant. On occasion, this does mean culling loose ends when they get too comfortable and overestimate their reach.

All of this kept in mind, Hera remains quietly suspicious of most outsiders. Trust isn’t something she hands out at the door without pause (particularly if the someone in question is a young and reasonably attractive, for obvious reasons). After all, in the end, few things take precedence over family, and the wolves who make up her inner circle are all beings that she would fight for without hesitation.

Things to Know

→ Despite any and all marital strife, her dedication to Zeus remains unwavering. Their relationship is one painted in stark shades - blissful or tumultuous, but ultimately impossible (as far as she is concerned) to wash away.
→Her children are her babies no matter their age and as such she can, perhaps, react extremely if their well-being is being threatened.
→ Respect is a two-way street to most, but few things can sour a potential alliance like insolence, there is a pride to Hera that is only made worse by her bullheaded nature.
→ Speaks English, French, Greek, and Latin. Has some conversational knowledge of Spanish.
→ Remembers with unwavering confidence who she is and where she comes from - suspects the rest to be some sort of cosmic punishment, but is keeping that to herself for now.
