A day had since passed that Ragnar and Freya returned to the lands of Northfall. He had sent @Krakarak ahead, to give message to those which lie in wait- the leader of Dragonford was dead. It would ease Sindri's fears of Ragnar being ambushed yet still left many questions in its wake. Sindri of course stole moments to speak with Ragnar, though the parents priorities lied with the reuniting of themselves their children. Whispers would surely move through the lands and Ragnar knew some explanation was in order. It would be a new chapter for Northfall.

With a lazy yawn, Ragnar moved down one of the many slopes of his home and into the foothills around. He did not find a place to settle in the forest, but instead came to the rocky shores of their 'front yard'. Ragnar turns and sits with the ocean at his backside, the islands of Leviathan Sepulcher in the distance. To his pack, he howls and waits until they come poping out through the wood rock work.

Ma and Da are back.

It's a good feeling, to know that Ma and Da aren't going to die. Though Ragnhildr had played it tough when Ragnar and Freya left, she has to admit, she worries about the Southlanders. They're a treacherous lot. Crawling from their den, they bark at the other pups to spur on a race. "Last one there's bird poop!" they call, then bolt. The sheer cliffs and the high mountains of their home could threaten a fall at any moment, but Ragnhildr takes them at a breakneck speed. They have nothing but confidence.

And they're paid by being the first to arrive. Definitely not bird poop now! He swishes his tail, crowing triumphantly to a sibling in the distance. Then they turn and smile at their father. "Da!" This isn't alone time. They know that much from the call. "Krakkers said that the Southlanders are done! Didja whoop their queen? Didja?" The truth might be far less interesting to Ragnhildr, but for now, they're imagining Ragnar showing up and fighting the evil woman whose name Ragnhildr can't pronounce to the death-- and of course Ragnar won without even trying. Da's the best fighter in the pack! Of course he'd win!

And when Ragnhildr's big enough, they're gonna be just as strong! They're going to fight off all the enemies of Northfall and be the toughest warrior these lands have ever seen! That's why they train every single day! Bouncing from foot to foot, Ragnhildr waits for the others to arrive. The answers should surely come then.

The wicked witch of the south was dead. The news had come with Krakarak's return, who'd flown ahead of their parents. Sylvi was wide awake when her father's call rung out. She'd been caught staring into the reflection of a small collection of water, carefully working her paw underneath her eyes with a red dye, and then sweeping it across her cheeks. Victory had been had, and it was shown across the pup's face and eager form.

The shield maiden had been expecting a call to all those of Northfall blood, to come and collect for a gathering, but when it rung out, it shocked her and messed the right side of her cheek up. She growled softly, debating on washing it off and then reapplying — but she also didn't want to be late. She wanted to know all the gritty details of what had happened. So instead of washing her face off and trying again, she dipped her paws to rid them of the red dye from berries she'd stomped on, and dashed off.

When she arrives, Raggy has already started talking Ragnar's ear off. Now that their tongue was fixated to common, the cat was out of the bag, and it was not taking silence as an answer. So instead of joining in, she sat down a few feet from them and waited for others to fill in the empty spots. She was here for the news and, like a good little warrior; she waited for her king's voice before she would rise again.

Oh, Ghidorah heard the news. Probably the best news he’s heard in quite some time actually. The only thing that disappoints him is that the dragon god himself was not the one to end her life. Oh, but he was sure she got the punishment she deserved — death. He is unsure how it happened, only that it did happen and to that, when he saw the bird fly ahead, his maw dropped open wide and malicious, massive head falling back as an undeniably powerful cackle fell was forced from his throat.

What a great day.

Now is just as good. Especially when he gets the howl from @Ragnar. He’s on the move quickly, wanting to hear what the great man has to say. When he arrives, he saunters up intimidatingly with a dark smirk lining his lips.

Oh fuck, he’s having a hard time containing his laughter. He wants to bark and howl to a victory well met — to a debt well fucking paid. Ragnar could probably see the unhinged chaos in his heterochromatic orbs — blazing and fiery. Just as bloodthirsty as usual.

He’s never been good at self control. That’s a given.

So when he moves up to the group he laughs. It’s rasping and malicious and his voice is just as so — booming and thunderous — enthusiastic. “Death to the snake of the isles!”

He’s a hype man, what can he say? He doesn’t give a shit if it’s supposed to be a serious meeting or not. He’s here to have a good time until he fucking dies and addenda once more. And he plans on taking Ragnar with him, but for now, they settle on a glorious victory. This, Ghidorah can deal with.

It was a good day for Northfall.

Stiff-limbed, Constance heaved herself to the clearing, ears twitching at the various sentiments of justice and victory alike. Their enemy was dead.

While they celebrated, the old woman wondered if their Southern neighbors would lick their wounds or look to retaliate. She said nothing, resting her head on her paws.

^^

It was good to be home. She wouldn't lie and say that she hadn't enjoyed the time away with just Ragnar but she had found herself feeling that maternal touch of missing her children. All eight hellions! The goddess would arrive not long after the howl had sounded out with the ocean crashing at the base of the mountains and two of the brood came bumbling forward. Her lips tilted into a grin as her ears twitched to the sound of another, Ghidorah, the reckless and the older woman Constance. Freya pushed forward regardless and leaned down to nuzzle against @Sylvi's head and cast her multicoloured gaze to @Ragnhildr as they began to talk their fathers ear off.

Going from the one who had barely managed a word to not talking so quickly was amusing to the goddess. "Come now, Ragnhildr. Let your father breathe," she cooed as she swept forward to use a paw to tuck the child away with a small laugh. To Ragnar she would cast a mischievous smile and flicked her tail, summoning her child to sit with their sister.

Freya thought on the court and the trial and glanced to the sky, knowing that Thor had certainly decided to weigh in with his lightning. It was only fair, she supposed and she would later go to prayer to him. Oh, she rather missed the God of Thunder -- he was quite a lot of fun. Nevertheless, he had spoken and Vendrussel had paid the price she chose. That was that.

She knew why her parents had left, everyone in Northfall did. For the court, for justice for Ynness (an older half sister that she had never been able to meet) and for closure, she supposed. Father had gone because he was King and mother had gone because she was the chosen wolf to represent -- which Ariadne thought was a good choice. She was who she wanted to be like when she was older, carrying herself with the same grace and poise as Freya but desiring her teeth, too. Less rambunctious than a few of her siblings, Ariadnes was certainly a bit more lady-like but had the ability to become a shield-maiden, if she wielded her weapons the same as her mother.

Ragnar, though, she rather favoured, too. You could favour both your parents, couldn't you? Ariadne hadn't much of an opinion on many others aside from Sindri, having not gone out of her way to have one on one time with them but then when had she the time? So much in the world demanded her attention! There were flickers in the back of her young mind, blurry images that she couldn't quite work out and sometimes, the girl felt as if she were in someone elses body.

She had danced with the idea that she was the same as Freya, born again into new bodies but she... had yet to bring it up, not fully understanding it herself but she didn't have much to go on aside from blurry images. So that titbit of information remained with her silently until she understood it better. The rosy cream girl would come to the sound of Ragnar's call, spying a couple of her siblings and her mother nearby, as well as a couple other wolves. The big one, the striped one was very loud for Ariadne's liking but he hadn't spoken to her and she hadn't formally met him. There was an older wolf, one she hadn't met but knew of, too, laying down and silent. Ari looked at her curiously before she flounced over to Ragnar and nuzzled her pink nose into his leg before dancing towards her mother and siblings.

She was here, drifting around, trying not to freeze her tail off. That much was a tall order. In fact, she'd managed to procure herself a pelt of some goat. It was a thing she'd managed to pilfer from one of pieces of prey that someone had brought back and her handiwork at getting it off was rather terrible... but it worked in a pinch. So, with that draped on her coat she made her way down towards Ragnar's call.

The air here was practically ecstatic. Excitable. Happy. It was quite contagious as she wagged her tail and grinned at all those gathered as she took a seat somewhere near the middle of the gathering where it would hopefully be warmest. "I take it our dragon problem is done?" That screeching bird was hard to ignore but it was hard to believe that the gods had spoken so decisively.

He'd done his duty, come down to Northfall as quickly as he could and told everyone of what had happened. Then, he'd waited on the king to return. He'd seen the man from one of his perches and followed along in the sky. When the golden-white wolf had called to the pack, he'd dropped from the sky and landed on a nearby rock where he looked at all those gathered. No more dragons. Too bad it hadn't been some bloody battle. He'd have enjoyed that a lot.

Sigrid had been alone when she heard the call, wandering the woods in peaceful contemplation. The girl preferred to be alone, indulging in her own thoughts rather than indulging her siblings' urge to bowl something over. Her ears perked up when the cry echoed through the trees, and she bounded forward, excited to see her mother and the king. The snow absorbed the sound of her paws hitting the earth as she ran, and she reveled in the silence. Not even the few remaining birds were alarmed by her passing. The monochromatic landscape passed her quickly, tree trunks blurred together until they became one. She wove gracefully between them, her lengthening limbs increased her stride every day, and she had come far from the little ball of fur that had nearly fallen to her death trying to make a jump she wasn't ready for.

She slowed before she emerged from the trees and caught her breath, Ragnhildr's shouts eliciting a substantial eye roll. Nevertheless, she didn't want to be the last to arrive, and she trotted the rest of the way to the beach. The king had his back turned to the ocean, which was tame today. The sky was reflected nearly perfectly in the calm water, disturbed only by the occasional ripple when a breeze passed overhead. Waves rolled onto the beach lazily, lapping at the smooth stones, and created a gentle crashing undertone to the chatter of those who had already gathered.

She made a beeline for her mother, ignoring the others in the congregation, and pressed against her flank. Her familiar scent was soothing, and the girl smiled softly up at the she-wolf.

A call rang out: mother and father had come home.

Hvitserk, gathering swiftly to his paws and keen to greet them after several days suffering through their absence beneath the watch of the guardians who'd been appointed for them. On clumsy, oversized paws he made haste in the direction he thought the howl had sounded from, but his sense of direction was not great. He realised that his sisters had gone another way and, trying not to make it so obvious, he circled loosely to pursue them.

He was not the first to arrive on the scene, but thankfully not the last. Hvitserk moved in to shove at a sibling with his shoulder, eager to make room so that he, the star of the show, could present himself to his freshly-returned parents. “Hi,” he chirped, despite having so rudely and roughly pushed at his sister, “is it over?”

Sindri arrives just after another wave of children, dancing around her feet and running past and out unto the open rocky beachside. Before her, seated Ragnar and behind him in the distance, the black islands that had once housed their enemy.

Sindri's eyes are worn, tired, but in those depths their is an unspoken relief, it was done. Finished, and Sindri breathed a sigh of relief.

Coming slowly forward, she turned and sat before the crown, founding a place at the open left side of Ragnar, as she hoped another would join his right. The war was over and Ragnar was home.

Ragnar smiles, as he at first if greeted by a few of his pups, already having grown much just in their few months of life. Ragnhildr first wondering if Ragnar had 'whooped' the island queen and then the little warrior Sylvi, quite yet paint across her cheeks as though ready for battle (or celebration). “The sea wench is dead.” He whispers to them with a smile and with it, snaps his jaws at Ragnhildr in playful tease.

Then Ghidorah arrives, among the spilling of children from the woodwork, looking and acting like the crazy drunk uncle that so many were uncertain about. Yet Ragnar looks to the stripped wolf with michief in his eyes and laughter on his tongue “Skol!” Ragnar barked out, mimicking Ghidorah's hyped up energy with his own.

The old woman Constance then arrived, as though she might have been secretly keeping an eye on Ghidorah and maybe not as much so the pups. Ragnar chuckles low at his inner thoughts.

Ariadne, dressed in pale creams and rose came then and as he pale nose touched Ragnar he would nose her skull as she made off towards her siblings and the fertility goddess which created them. Sigrid quielty then and Hvitserk, the only and eldest son of the litter.

Oryx next, who Ragnar secretly held worry over, given that winter was just around the corner. Oryx lacked the thick coat and heavy build of extra plumpness as much of those of Northfall held. She was a sand runner. Ragnar had enjoyed their company together, in an open and friendly manner he had in Krakarak and Valmua. She came to the shores this day with a fur dropped over her backside and Ragnar smiles to her words and winks.

Sindri then comes, the worry from her features since washed away, and deep within those eyes, a silent acknowledgment. Their daughter had been avenged. They had won. Still, she looked tired, as though not at all having slept in the days that had passed without both Ragnar and Freya home. She found a place at the open left side of Ragnar, as she hoped another would join his right.

Ragnar scans the group of wolves before him; friends, family. A few yet still to arrive, Loki who he didn't know if had returned yet, given all of Dragonford had been at the trial. A few of his children, including his eldest son, Einar. Amata was here but not yet Leviathan who often shadowed her. Primrose was missing, the soft little boy solemn after his adoptive mother's passing. Ragnar's eyes sweep over Serenity's two pups but yet no Serenity. Chantico, Aarkron and Hank coming in quietly and taking their seat in wait. With such a large group and their home within the mountains, Ragnar held no doubts that some might be behind or miss it, depending there their hunting or scouting had taken them before the call.

When Ragnar began, he spoke loudly and clearly for them all. “I hope the message Krakarak brought you all gave both ease of mind and praise for our triumph! ” He spoke with a smile as he swept his eyes over Krakarak. “I'd like to officially announce to you, the leader of Dragonford, Vendrussel, is dead!”

And so he tells the tale in simple form. “Northfall's demands for retribution is just and the Gods have shown this. She had called out to them and so they gave their answer. Vendrussel, before the court, was struck down by lightning from the skies!” In fact, as it turned out, there had been little need for the court all together. The year of hatred between the two packs could have ended long ago, had Vendrussel the balls to face them. Could have happened even still months back, had their allies decided to either join them or stay out of it, instead of try to convince another way could be had. No, a swift death was Vendrussel's fate and so the Gods made it so that she had it.

“Though the trial had been meant to be had as a place of neutrality and peace, Vendrussel had brought the whole of Dragonford with her that day. I find it best she had, for all that followed her know now that even the gods believed she was deserving of no less then death for her crimes!” His voice barked out over the crown and to the heavens, as he speaks of the god's belief in justification as well as his own. “It is to my understanding that those that remain on the isles consider this as an end as well, and have no piece or desire for further confrontation. I have every intention to meet with those on the isles, should their pack continue by another's lead. They had killed Ynness on the Brim and I wish to see if their claim to the Brim remains or if we are free to pass through. Until then, if any of you head south, a suggest doing so by traveling around them.” After all, it was this addition to what Vendrussel had wanted to claim other then the islands which had first started them in this war. Ragnar felt that if Dragonford still wished to call Behemoth's Brim their own, then he would make certain to put an end to all of those Dragonford wolves who enjoyed visiting the Alpine Moors. It was only fair for both parties.

It is here that Ragnar pauses and waits. He wanted to make sure everything was clear and if anyone had any questions before he continued on. (Can add in here a reply for anyone if that is so!)

“Though our individual members may be aware already of their position, I'd like to announce our honored officially.” Those which were professional in their skill set be known, should others need their help or the young wished to be mentored by them. “Should you need their assistance or training, seek them out.” They had many young which at their sixth moon would be required to learn the basics of each skill set for survival. Many of Northfall, especially those which harbored Stormborn blood, were explorers by nature.

“Our Sentries; Ghidorah, Hank, Einar and newly appointed, @Leviathan.” His gaze sweeps these wolves and then land onto the yearling boy. Past his first year, he was able to hold official position. Given his training and being there in the fight of boars, it was obvious where he fit in the pack. “Our Watcher, @Lóki, who is an acceptional spy, who risked himself to live with the Dragonford during our war in order to infiltrate.”

Then, to the large man of solid white and heavily scarred. “Aarkron is currently our only Medic, seasoned in his skill set.” The man was worthy of the placement of Prime Caregiver with his knowledge, but his unwillingness to help train others had been a set back from this. Ragnar's thoughts lingered to the late Eirene, who had been both interested in religion and medicines.

Ragnar's head lifts then, to the black raven settled on a branch along the cliffs that met their shoreline. “I would happily like to announce @Krakarak as our first of the Royal Court, as Legate- leader of our Watchers! Krakarak has delivered many messages even in our beginning times, as one of its founding members.” He smiles upon his good friend. It had been he which delivered the message of Vendrussel's death and Ragnar and Freya's safety. He which had called upon Elysium and those in the valley for aid of Kuhn and Valmua. He had been there when guests had arrived at their borders, when their enemy had been caught near their home and would help find the goats in the mountains or herds in the forest. Krakarak seemed most fitting at the Leader of their scouts. With this announcement and the knowledge that Krakarak was the first to be seated with this position, he wondered what others in the pack might find interest in.

“Many of you already know of Sindri,” He speaks, turning his head to the woman who sat off at an angle to his side. “She is one of your Superiors, my Second in Command and your Regent. Her word is law when your King and Queen are unavailable.” A hint. The King then turns his pale eyes to the freckle-cheeked woman then, Freya. His muzzle dips down to her and he takes a step back. A showing of respect, an act of someone equal to himself. “Now, I'd like to give the floor to Freya, your new Queen.”

Einar followed in Sindri's shadow; sitting close enough to her but not in the way of the court. Ragnar seemed... happy. There was vigour in those stormy eyes of his. The anticipation of the group boiled and frothed like a kettle, simmering whispers added to the boiling water.

Vendarussel was dead.

Einar could not help but holler in response, a boyish grin pulling at his features. Finally. It seemed like the gods had answered him and found him to be right. They had taken her in Yness' stead. What was done, was done. An eye for an eye. The war was over. The threat no longer loomed. So why.. did he feel an unfamiliar pang. A small deflation of defeat? All he had done was stand guard, waiting. He had not tasted an ounce of Dragonford Blood. He wanted to see that bitch burn himself. As the rolling of the storms, a small frustrated sigh poured from his nostrils. He was tired of being held back.

Then came the announcements, the honoured were thanked. Einar shot a happy glance to the Raven, trusted friend of his Father's- who now was the first to sit upon the council. Then to his Mother, who was reaffirmed as Regent. He bit back the urge to snort; anyone who did not know Sindri's place in Northfall was a fool, an even bigger one if they dared to question it.
“Now, I'd like to give the floor to Freya, your new Queen.”

Queen...

Einar's eyes waited for Freya to present herself, despite the questions that boiled within his chest. He knew that Ragnar had fathered her litter... but to take as a mate? Well, of course, it would never have been his Mother. Only time would tell, if he were to trust Freya. He just hoped she would not call him Son.

The woman hung back for the most part, still not entirely comfortable being around a large group of people. Even as @Ghidorah and the rest celebrated the death of Vendrussel, she would simply nod, unsure how she felt. Sure, she was glad it was over and glad that Ven had gotten what she deserved, but at the same time, Serenity had a sickening feeling that more unease would rise between the two packs.

Nonetheless, she would offer a smile at those that got new ranks, nodding her head in greeting to them silently.

He was quick to show, standing near the front as the meeting was called. He wanted to know what had happened and, hearing that the female leader of the Isles had fallen, he would let out a howl of victory. Though he had only met the woman once, he had little care for her and, in his mind, if his pack didn't like her, neither did he.

After everything had calmed down, he sat quietly, listening intently on what his leader said. However, as his name was called, the boy would gasped slightly, holding his head high with a smile. He was proud of himself and, though he doubted anyone else would be, he was happy with what he had gained so far. But, he knew that wouldn't stop him from continuing his climb.

Oh what a grand day! Ghi doesn’t know why he and Ragnar are the only ones screaming, but he guesses that he’ll have to work on that. Plus, it’s definitely something worth screaming over so when the pale yellow wolf hits him with a hardy yell of his own triumph Ghidorah shamelessly parrots him back.

“Skol!”

The others appear slowly but surely. Sindri moves up beside Ragnar and then comes the speech. He officially announces the woman’s death by lighting from the very sky itself. Ghidorah cackles at that, smirk never faltering. He only wishes he had seen it — had the opportunity to laugh so fucking hard he hacks up a lung when Vendrussel’s followers weeped and screamed over such a godly act of revenge. And, ooh, isn’t it sweet? How would they dispute Northfall’s tie to the Gods now? They can’t and that’s what Ghi likes the most.

Either way, Ragnar further mentions the honored — the maned wolf being one of them himself. Among many other names Ghi acknowledges, the words new and queen stick out the most.

Now he’s just confused. He thought Sindri was the queen. Aight, guess that’s just how the cookie crumbles. He hardly questions it beyond that single thought.

Something — or rather someone — else catches his eyes though. Out of the corner of his eye, the ever beautiful Serenity shows herself. Not celebrating nearly as much as he, but smiling nonetheless. So effortlessly, he’d move through the crowd uncaring if he disturbed anyone, in order to bump shoulders with the woman. Giving her a sly and teasing greeting glance, he looks back up to pay attention once more. He has to hear this new Queen speak up now doesn’t he? Can’t get too distracted.

^^

Her children came and they settled with her after greeting their father and Freya smiled, they were silly little things with different personalities and she was only intrigued to see how they would grow. She was interested to know if any of them would house memories from other lives, if any of her past lives would come to meet here from her womb in this body. Only time would tell...

She listened to the boisterous holler from Ghidorah and Ragnar in tandem and her lips twitched in amusement; she might not agree with his tactics but she could not deny that the striped man was pleased for Northfall's victory. Ragnar continued, giving all those present a more in depth description at what had truly happened at the court and she listened, recalling the event that they had not long since returned from. It was fresh in her mind but she knew that he was painting a picture for the rest of Northfall, needing to know thoroughly that strife was no longer at hand. For now, she thought, wondering if the feline might prove to be an issue in the future. He directed them to avoid stepping onto the Brim until further notice, until they knew whether or not it was off limits and she could only hope that they would listen. Specifically Ghidorah and Serenity; she'd not have another brawl to start a war when it was simple to listen.

The King moved onto something different, more lively, announcing ranks and bestowing upon those in question titles and appreciating what they brought to Northfall. Her smile was amused when the bird was appointed Legate, because he was a funny little beast but no one could deny the loyalty that he had to Northfall. A worthy title, she thought and was always reminded of Muninn and Huginn. Oh, those birds were always interesting and a knowledge hub. Much like their own Raven, she thought. It worked out nicely, didn't it?

A decision had been made and it was becoming the reality as Ragnar moved on to explaining a shift, that Sindri remained second in command and Regent, her word law when the Northfall King and Queen were no longer present. King and Queen. Her smile was vibrant, delicate upon her elegant features and she dipped her head to him as she stepped forward, twisting her frame so that she stood before them with her children not too far from her legs. "Northfall," the goddess cooed as she wagged her tail softly behind her, "to have been here so far has been an honour and it will only continue to do so," she offered a cheeky little grin to her children before she looked back to the faces that made up Northfall.

"For our Victory, for our achievements, for our growth, we shall celebrate!" Freya announced proudly, "throughout this day and the next, I ask that we work on a hunt. Bring food, the juiciest of meats! Herbs and berries, your favourites and ours! Tomorrow night we shall feast, we shall sing and praise the Gods for our Glory. For our King, for your new Queen and for Northfall's longevity!" To top it off with dramatics, the goddess would tilt her head back and howl; the sound a song and a call all at once.

Whisked away from their father by their dear mother, Ragnhildr takes a few steps back and finds shelter underneath Freya's legs. But Da's answer comes, and Ragnhildr giggles in delight at the idea. Sure, Da might not have killed Vendrussel himself, but there's no doubt in Ragnhildr's mind that if the fight came down to it, Da would win every time. And Ragnhildr's going to learn how to fight properly to make him proud.

As soon as the announcement comes, that Ma is Queen, Ragnhildr almost seems confused. Ma wasn't Queen before? Oh, well, judging from everyone else, this seems to be a surprise. Ragnhildr supposes they should have paid better attention to pack dynamics, but they kinda don't understand the grown-up romance stuff. Nor do they really care. They want to do nothing more than go over and pounce @Hvitserk and roll around in the dirt for a while, but something tells them that they'd get yelled at if they do that. Ah, instead, they're having a feast.

Their eyes find @Sylvi first and @Einar second. "Ek wannfylgjagðr," Ragnhildr starts, speaking to their sister first. "Vér gottfár eittsvat." Then, to Einar, Ragnhildr gives a big grin. "Ek bet einar knáttveiðir einn entire elk fyrir þessi!" Then they bolt off to help prepare for the feast.

'The sea witch is dead.A sparkle of joy lit in the warrior princess' eyes. Now she and her father could go see the dragon's spine! She felt the giddiness in her paws and stowed her comments on it. She wanted to keep that adventure for only her and Ragnar, so later she'd bug him about it.

Sylvi watched members of Northfall; some of her own blood fill in the cracks of open space around them. Once @Constance found her way into the mix, the young girl faltered in a movement, about to get up and find a place near her, and yet, she is stopped by her mother's affectionate nuzzle. The shield-maiden smiled upwards and settled back into her place, giving one more quick glance at the older woman. She wondered how hard the cold weather had been for her. Since Constance showed up, she was learning more and more about getting old. And it sounded like it sucked.

'The Gods have shown us this.' Sylvi glanced upwards, past her mother and to the heavens, with a glint in her eyes. The Gods watched over them, gazed fondly upon the mountain-dwellers. After the news had been delivered, each of the details given to the hungry minds of Northfall, ranks were given out. Sylvi watched each wolf that got bestowed a new title and felt a twinge of jealousy. She, too, wanted to get one. Her olive eyes gazed over @Hank for a minute and then she got flustered, hurriedly looking back to her father as he had one ultimate thing to announce — Freya, their new queen.

Einar extended his congrats, making the little shield maiden squirm underneath her mum, still not quite sure how to feel about him. Freya took no time to speak, exclaiming her own glory to them all. Sylvi's attention dragging upwards, looking at the beautiful new queen who hadn't aged a day since she'd given birth — and probably even beforehand. The little warrior could never spot a flaw in her mum's form.

A feast was declared, and at this, the little girl joined in with her mum's howl, until she is yanked to the side by her siblings' wants. Raggy is off before Sylvi can even comprehend what they're doing — but she knows there's no time to waste, and hops after him, stopping mid-form to look back to @Freya, "Til hamingju, drottning." She says, quickly, partially bowing, before skipping back after her sibling. Time to bring home the turkey — or y'know, whatever they can get.

Picking his way through the crowd, dark ears relaxed as he sauntered by. It was nice to be upon frozen ground. Familiar faces. Perhaps ones that did not worship him as well as he would like, or tolerate him, even for that matter, but it was far better than those sea-loving crazed "dragon" wolves that prickled his skin the moment he stepped paw in the place.

Such a shame it had to end so quick...

Ragnar began his speech and Loki listened intently, settling down so he would not be in the centre of attention, but enough to be seen.  “Our Watcher, @Lóki, who is an acceptional spy, who risked himself to live with the Dragonford during our war in order to infiltrate.” To this, ears perked and a dip of his muzzle. Dark lips curled into his signature smirk, with a glance over to @Sindri yes, it felt nice to be recognised.

And then came the main part, the announcement of a Queen. Freya. Oh, how delightful. He wondered if Ragnar knew of the other men that his newly appointed Queen lay with during her season? Or had their... fling had been a steamy, one off romp in the wildflowers? Regardless, he would enjoy watching how this would pan out, wondering how he would feel-should their Queen recognise him. He would not treat her any differently... not unless they were alone, of course.

His eyes would lock onto Freya as she spoke needless words. Listening half heartedly as she praised sweet siren melodies. Prepare a feast? Had his work not been good enough? With a flicker of his dark ear he would intake a silent breath. Perhaps he could procure some berries... just to be seen to do something.

The siblings scattered, making their way promptly to the meeting place. Skathi, however, did not move to swiftly. Instead she took her time in preparing to move. She stretched out her lengthening forelimbs and parted her jaws in a wide yawn, before padding lazily onward. Their parents' return came as no surprise to the pallid youth, for she'd never feared that they would not return. Northfall bred strong wolves, confident beings, and it was not in her nature to become overly exciteable.

Most of her siblings had gotten there before her, but her attention was not directed toward them. Skathi had tired of their foolish, childish behaviour - particularly Hvitserk's constant desire to test the sisters' patience. She glanced toward her father as he spoke and mustered a winning smile for when he would surely look her way, then settled in close to her mother to listen quietly.

Announcements of ranking came, and she - like several - was surprised to learn that her dam had only newly been made Queen. Skathi blinked up into yellow-green eyes, those identical to her own, and let her tail sway contently at her rear. It didn't matter that the crown had only newly been given to Freya, for she'd always been sovereign in the mind of her daughter. A feast was to be had in celebration of their recent victory and Skathi's gaze brightened as she glanced around the others to gauge their reactions.

There was no murmurs under their breath, no side eye or wrinkled nose. They had accepted the words of their King and now accepted the word of their Queen. Einar, Ghidorah and Ragnar had yowled out among the pack. Leviathan held himself higher. Serenity smiled deeply and was met with Ghidorah who had taken a fancy to her since the day they had met. The pups romped wildly at times with another, but knew well the important bond of family between them. Even now, as one of his youngest speaks with excitement to his eldest. They encircled Freya, the embodiment of strength and new life into the pack. Some scamper off with a readiness for the festivities. Sindri slips laughter off her lips and Ragnar nudges the little woman with his shoulder playfully.

They were a roudy lot. Some sinister, mischievous. Some blood hungry and some fueled by rage. Some perhaps only in it while the going was good. But oh, it was good. Regardless, they were happy. They were united.

Ragnar joined his Queen and tilted his head back in howl.
