@"Lorcan Altaire"

"Your character is traveling up a mountain but their path has crumbled and broken. It's an awfully big jump but you spy rocky ledges that haven't entirely broken. Do you risk it or do you seek a different path?"

She found herself travelling a bit away of the plains, but.. Was having trouble going through the mountains. She distanced herself with a curiosity to see the ocean that was mentioned long ago by @Sindri, as it seemed the coast was by them. She didn't go through the tundra though, and instead was travelling through the mountains to take a few days of a trip through. A sight-see, really. Her body felt a bit restless..

But maybe a blunder upon her part, as she was crossing through one of the small mountains ; the path before her was unusable. A landslide maybe, and it continued extend around as far as she could see. Uriel paused at her tracks, a wondering whether she should try and find another route.

Lorcan had melded into the cornerstones of the rocks, hiding away in outcroppings to avoid the morning boil of the sun. The boil never came however, today the clouds hung heavy with potential participation and the winds roared with their own furies.

He squeezed out of the rock crevices, shaking his head from any loose dust. It took his eyes a moment to adjust, and he had to do a double take, but he almost fell to the floor as the striking blonde beauty stood before him. She looked to be achingly nervous at the edge of a broken path— a path that Lorcan didn't know how to traverse either. It looked to be new, randomly sunken in through the night. Lorcan needed to go that way to get water.

The male cursed, quietly, but gained enough solidarity to clear his throat and straighten his spine to appear...diligent enough. He was, however, regardless of his minor insecurities. "Do we take a gander and try to cross? Or take a hike to the other side by going around..." Lorcan tsked as he approached the woman, the scent of pollen and grass filling his nose. She smelled like a field, grazing and splendid beneath the sun, he'd imagine.

"What d'ya think we should do?"

The smell of cedar and flowers came near, and when she turned her head a very tall man came to view. He was dark, dark against the night itself and yet didn't tint within the blue of the sky, but rather like the forests before them. The dawning of one, the only true parts that stood out was the jagged scar across one of his golden eyes. She had to crane her neck a bit up to get a proper look, for his height easily toppled her own.

She then looked back, to the toppling of uneven terrain, broken wood and jagged rocks.. "I think it's best to find another path, the wrong step can be dangerous."

Lorcan would listen to her, raising a brow. Her golden pelt nearly blinded him in the light, but it was immortalized into his mind. "Hmph." Is all he would say, brushing past her and approaching the ledge. His eyes looked up and down, sizing up the gap in the pathway. He noticed a few jagged rocks, strong enough to be a platform.

"I think we can make it." He didn't look back at her until he finished his sentence. He was a scoundrel at heart, always wanting to take risks into the unknown. She looked terrified, yet hid it pretty damn well. It made Lorcan's smirk grow, canines pointing outward from his lip, feeling his muscles come alive at her repave.

Lorcan would chuckle, "Don't be afraid of a little danger, darling, live a little." With that, he'd take a leap off the cliff. His paws would outstretch to latch onto the flat ledge that separated them— it was about eight feet apart. He hoisted himself up, shaking off the dust remnants, before turning around with his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. "Don't keep me waiting now!" He'd shout, encouraging her.

He had no idea who she was, but he thought she was pretty. Lorcan always had a thing for blondes.

Uriel in simple terms, was a wolf without a spine. She held a cowardness that was rare to break from, only when it seemed the situation was upmost dire, but in most of all cases ; she tended to run away from harm. She was scared to be hurt, she was scared to throw herself into scary situations and avoided the tundra for some time in that grand fear something will return to haunt her so. Actions brought forth in an endless cycle of demise, but her heart still longed to return paws to a snowy-ground, and sometimes couldn't help but wander in. She knew, she was a selfish wolf.

But one that was always swept up in the emotions and toils of other. Coerced enough and left without room to argue, she could only follow the whim of another. He lept, and toyed her to follow through which gave a clear anxious look around with shakey paws, "Uhm, o-ok.." a clear fear following as she looked at the edge with a hesitation and..

He called to her so she so flew. He believed to be fine and the woman who only relied on others would trust so, flinging herself to the land he stood on. Although her own balance was not so well, and she fell, hard.

It was only a moment before he saw the woman flying in the air. Her cadence was unsure of the whole debacle, making him feel worried about it. He knew from his own physical capabilities that he would be just fine, but her? He hadn't even known her name, and she proceeded to throw herself off a cliff. She was either the stupidest girl he's ever met or knew something about the keys to life that he didn't know.

He just about thought that she would make it, but the miscalculation in her footing proved him wrong. She was a foot short of the landing. Lorcan saw the way her face dropped when she realized she had missed the ledge, and he too held the same disbelief.

The man would dive after her, down the ledge of the cliff, to the drop of the landslide that held sharp rocks on its descent. He did it without thinking, praying that she wouldn't hurt her pretty face. When he landed, he landed upright on his feet, the impact of the drop making him grunt and a sharp pain run up his spine. He landed no further from her, the imminent smack of her body alluding to a dark presence over his head.

He'd race over, tripping over a rock on his way but only merely stumbling with a sharp hiss, but he sat before the freshly cut grass-scented girl. He'd nudge her neck, nose throttling into her fur, uttering small words, "Get up, get up. Come on, get up." He'd chant those words like a prayer.

She missed.

Maybe if Uriel didn't just jump and did a running start, it'd be a different story. Her heart plummeted as she too fell, a fatal error in a mistake to distrust her gut and follow to a rather charming fellow. Wrapped in the charisma of others was a downfall as her heart lurched and she recoiled into herself, falling and falling from the edge of where she stood, only inches away to meet the unknown maker.

As she fell so her body naturally shielded, making way as she hit her side and avoided the colossal damage of broken bones, but not bruises. Rolling to the side where she laid, breathing heavily from the wind sucked out of her breath and the feel of her body sore from so. Specifically her left side was in the daunting pain, but rolled enough from the impact was laying on her right.

She curled, slow and deep breathing to calm such a nerves. Nothing broken, but not without pain and bruises. Faintly she opened her eyes, gray gaze meeting to the other, but didn't get up.

It hurt.

Lorcan felt his chest flood with guilt when the woman turned to look at him, turned to look up at him with those white eyes, but didn't say a word. Her body shook with pain, he saw it, and watched her curl into a ball. He kept his nose beside her cheek, his warm breath fanning across her face. He'd wait a moment, a low mewl drawing from his throat.

He didn't get a response.

He knew then that he had to try something different. He was accountable for this. For her pain. "Forgive me," he'd utter before grabbing her paw with his teeth. He drew her close, putting his nose beneath the length of her armpit before thrusting his head forward. With the remains of his strength, he stood, the rest of her body falling into his back. Followed by a heavy grunt, and a mixture of a growl, he'd shake off the tangible thoughts.

With the woman draped across his back, he'd turn to observe the drop. Not there. Not that way. No. No. Fuck, this would be difficult. Lorcan cursed before finding a probable route— one that involved a partial climb, but he had to do it. He had to. He owed this stranger just that much, seeing as she jumped off the height of a cliff at his whim.

Lorcan began his climb, adjusting to the way her weight shifted along his back. When he'd go to the left, she'd fall to the right. Vice versa. It was a game that he gladly adapted to. He was trying, trying his best. He broke the surface of his strength— his muscles burned, ached, and raged with fire.

"Come on," He'd curse, ending the climb closely with the narrowed uphill climb. "Come on sweetheart, just a little more." He'd urge, taking the final step into onto the high ground.

With an exhausted huff, he fell to the ground, catching himself before reaching the ground. The man would shudder, lightly turning his back to the side to gently roll the female down. Beside her, he'd collapse onto his side.

That was a lot.

'Am I going to die?' although dramatic, Uriel held a great fear of her well-being. Life itself, scared her ; especially at how unusual the realm was and a way she could not properly read what was happening around. The unknown was something she feared, she feared how the sky broke down, she feared how the mountains disappeared into a forest altogether.. If she could not see what was happening, and properly run, it scared her. A past she could not remember, was also the same. She ran from her problems.

She whined lightly, the feeling of pulling back and forth while shuffled, eyes held closed tightly with each movement was with a light groan. She had not been in pain for a long, long while. Even upon fighting the walrus, even when being attacked by the red-man, only her muscles tore with pain for her running, and running. Yet a leap of faith, a time to be warped in the desires of another was left for her falling, and falling..

She shivered lightly. Feeling the cool air rush to her body upon a newfound freedom, her body sliding into the ground. Uriel didn't notice she had been lifted out, as her gray eyes opened lightly just to see the strange man before her collapse with an exhaustion. Did he bring her out of the bottom of the torn road? There was an aching headache that resounded within her head, a moment of time that didn't let her properly to speak, but she tried.

She mouthed 'thank you.'

Lorcan had rolled onto his back, arms outstretched into the air. His eyes focused as he flexed his paws, almost as if he were in disbelief that he was fucking alive. He practically shouldn't have been, the weight that he carried on an uphill climb would leave him sore for days. Weeks, maybe.

He quietly laughed to himself. "No fucking way." He made a 'hoooo' sound from his mouth as he exhaled a huff of air. The man would roll to his side, a groan coming from his mouth, but he faced the blonde woman on the ground.

"At least we made it over, yeah?" Lore panted as he said the words, glancing from her to the ledge where he had made an epic, yet radically dangerous climb. His tongue hung on the outside of his mouth, twiddling with the beat of his aggressive inhales.

It dawned on him then that he didn't even know her name. "Do you have a name, pretty girl?"

She wanted to hold herself tight, her body moved lightly in a motion to curl, but only grimaced lightly and gave up such an act. She sniffed, a minor sob slipping through her teeth as she held the few waterworks within. As now the storm was over and she laid with the other, the fear and pain was slowly overcoming the shock of so, and Uriel did not do well with either.

Although he too fell into an exhaustion, panting by carrying her and she hoped well she was not heavy. Despite though, being a nuisance of so, he whisked her out of the crevice and turned to her in a question of a name. She sniffed once more, her throat feeling clogged and a desperate need to drink water but she managed enough to croak her name, "Uriel."

She was trying not to cry. Why does these scary and painful situations keeps happening to her?

Uriel.

Lorcan thought it was pretty.

While the female seemed to struggle, immensely, he'd lay by her side, considering his options. He couldn't just leave her, could he? Well, he most certainly could, but...she was pretty. Pretty girls caught his eye. Two, he also put her in this situation to begin with. Not that Lorcan was a particularly a gentlemen by any means, he simply just...made her walk off a cliff.

And she did.

It was concerning, now that he thought of it. She quite literally...jumped off a cliff. Lord. He may have fucked up here. It was now that he wished his impulses didn't fail him, but that didn't seem like an option to dwell on. Her moans and displeasures of pain caused his ears to flatten against his head. "Okay, Uriel. 'm gonna stay right here with you, yeah?" Lorcan couldn't leave. There was no way.

"When you're ready, I can help you up. Get some water, or something." His nose was only an inch away from hers as he spoke. "Lore, by the way."

He seemed nice, but she felt unease being in such.. Openness and surroundments of the unknown. She could feel herself uncurling, the pain dulling lightly although bruises were definitely to happen, "I.. want to go home," she faintly said squeezing her eyes shut. Although the question was where is home, within her heart there was a place set for that. In the midst of desperation would she so admit to her love and desire for it to be a real home, and yet never once could she truthfully say openly it was; until now.

She missed it, she wanted to go to it. She was just so scared of it being taken away, it was hard to label it properly.

Uriel sniffed, opening her silver gaze and looking at Lore who vowed to stay by her side ; but she dreamed to simply be whisked away back to the Golden Glade, comforted in within it's glory of a sunset and smell of the plains. The sounds of the stream, and the comfort of the sun.. There was a begging within her gaze, but the golden woman had trouble vocally asking the man who already was doing so much.

She felt selfish, for his pity.

Home. Where was home?

Lorcan wanted to ask her more— you know, where home was, but it seemed unlikely that she could stitch a sentence together. She winced in pain just saying that sentence, so he'd imagine it was painful to even open her mouth. Every time she did, he'd want to rush over to hush her, but still...she barely knew him.

And he barely knew her.

Her silver eyes looked into his golden ones, and he saw himself in her reflection. It made his heart swell— and then he knew he had to help her. Lorcan stood, leaning down to face her. "Okay." he'd state, nosing her shoulder with the lightest touch. "Lean on me. We'll walk together." Lore would swallow the lump in his throat, nervous that he might fucking drop her. He was lucky that he didn't drop her on the way up the cliff, but he didn't know if that luck was going to run out any time soon.

"We got this." He would coo softly, the scent of intangible grass and plains filling his nose. It softened him, as rigid and on edge as he was. He didn't portray himself as such, afraid that if he panicked, she would too. Even more than she already was. "Just trust me. For just a moment."

She pushed herself, move forward and body falling forth to lean on the comfort of others. Although, perhaps maybe she relished it a bit too much — on the feeling of another. How long had it been since she had been so close to someone? Where she touched the fur of another ; where she could deeply smell the scent, and Uriel savored the smell of cedar and a flower she knew not.

The golden woman, did not remember her past. Two whole years were a blank in the mind, and what was left was a longing for something. Family, friends, the comfort of safety ; none that Uriel believed she had, and even sometimes, even deserved. She sometimes wondered if there was family ; but when she thought of them, a heartache came. Like something happened that brought terror, and often left it within the back of her mind. Lore, although knew not who he was, brought a strange comfort. A caring, a sense of warmth that she could find herself bathing in for days.

And so she trusted him, as gingerily, and rather slowly, led him to the long, long walk to the Golden Glade.
