Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Starvation had drew her to the point of hallucinating. She had began to see Dagfinn in all of his earthen toned glory, the Viking tall and proud as he always had been from the moment he had found her. She lay, delirious and bony amongst the grassy terrain, her mismatched gaze uneven and unfocused. "Daddy," Siri pleased as she could not find it in her to lift her chin to go to him as he stood, in the distance simply watching her. Siri's ears lay upon her head, splayed and displaying her mood perfectly: forlorn. No hope was saddled within her and she lay, blinking as if it would bring Dagfinn steps closer to her.

Painfully did she feel her bones against the forest floor and despite it all, something in her screamed to live. Is this really all she would amount to, she wondered. Blearily she shifted, miniscule in distance as her socked paws lay before her, pointe directly to where the hallucination of her father stood. ^^

Passing through her own forest, Celnes sought to the outside. Nothing particularly dragging her away besides a thought of wanderlust, thinking that something may be guiding her upon this day. Her forest, well protected, and children, well enough to by on their own.. She had little else to do, besides spend the days patrolling and feeding into the cash — but it all comes so dreary after constant repitition that she finds herself moving around on occasion.

But the Queen was never a day away, at most a few hours.

Ah but to hear the shuffled of the floor itself ; she approached. In honest assumption it almost seemed like a rat.. Sprawled to the floor in a desperate crawl. She approached closer to see if they were on the verge of death.
