As it had been commanded by the semer-wati, the mazoi were to search for the proper place for the royals to call their palace.

He knew little of what it meant to deal in architecture. Sobekhet would have been a better man for this. But he was busy with his own work and, unfortunately, not one titled to carry out this order.

Setting out early, as he did most days, he began his search with an open, focused mind. As per what he was really looking for, he had no clue. But hope blossomed in his chest that when he found the right spot—the one that sang to him—he would know.

 a new Mazoi, a man for the army her husband had promised to her. she was pleased to see that he worked diligently, and glad too that her husband worked toward this promise made. with her own attendants at her side, the golden woman approached the man. he was broad, covered in hues of deep rich clay, accompanied by paler sands and silver stones. he looked every bit the soldier in his march, for which she was also glad! they needed true strength, and well-learned fighters to call upon should ever there be a need.
 her fellahin announced her arrival in a trumpeting voice, and Pharaoh only observed him to see how he might then act.

He paused when he heard the approaching feet, his eyes setting upon the golden skinned pharoah.

Turning to meet her, he bowed his head. “I did not expect to see you out here,” He admits, to which makes him puzzled. “Is there something you require my services for, pharoah?”

 her eyes are bright, and she bids he rise with a warm smile he would see once he did so. “I am out often, to tend to the altars I have built. but this day, yes, I do have a need for you—I understand the Semer-Wati has tasked you to explore, and to discover,” she paused for a moment, allowing him room to confirm if he wished, or inform her if she had misunderstood!
 there was much of this Oasis yet untouched. she knew somewhere within it would be their palace, surely—and their place to bed. the Pharaoh had determined that she must come to know it for herself, as the Gods had sent them here. there were many things They must wish for her to see!

“He has, yes,” he confirmed, nodding slowly, then waiting expectantly for her to explain. For what purpose did she need him, of all the others? It was puzzling.
