Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Those that came to the aid of Olive, were mostly pack wolves — all except Uriel. There was a slight loneliness that came to that, especially when Tiberius set out to find some help. He was in such a rage, a thunderstorm roaring over his head that Uriel in honesty, wanted to stop him, to ask to take a breather. Yet she held tone, watching the dark man disappear into the tundra to find an unknown companion, and only prayed, he would find that someone. As the four of them, was not enough to truly stop a walrus, much less a group of them.. As noted there was one within the waters, watching, and waiting.

She didn't stay with the two wolves of unknown origins but smelled of pack. There was a war reigning over their heads as well, but it was assumed, that the kidnapped wolf as their packmate. The smaller leader continued to throw herself into the sea, and Uriel did not think it was wise for an Alpha to venture out to the hunt of scouting, but once more, held her tongue. It was not her place, especially as the kidnapped one was one of their own. She could only wish them the best, and offer support.

There was an envy, of a pack caring for her so well, and even those from another.

However what was offered, was Uriel to scout. She bid the rest farewell, for a temporary time until they re-meet for battle, and went toward the east, as per' the direction the walrus, and the princess, went. She may not have the resources, or the backing behind her like other packs — but there was a confidence within her knowledge of this tundra, and the nose she held. Unknowns to the world and offering a neck to strangers.. One who valued her life, and yet couldn't look away from someone in need.

Uriel would find her.
