Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Within a months time, did the golden wolf find herself back. She wretched herself away from the realm with a bitter heart — a sadness for what was lost and haunted by the area itself, even though the scarring as oh so little, her past was so fresh, that it re-opened what had healed. Yet, something had drawn her back, like a mysterious force. As she tried to pry herself away, farther and farther, her heart longed to return back. She couldn't explain it, as Uriel felt such a breaking within her soul on trying to pry away — !

Within a months time, did she find herself back. Back into the plains that she left. She couldn't deny such a feeling, which brought her from the wayfaring affair and thrusted back to the plains itself, and even when she arrived, she couldn't explain why it appeared. Yet, Uriel felt a peace, the longing that once was there and released herself and she felt.. A freedom, as there was no longer a denial of the experience that brought her to return to such a lands.

Not to mention a newfound heart — the time apart from there and here had healed such a wounds that it was like.. She forgot. She couldn't remember what the past was and yet didn't know it ; when the time came Uriel would try to think about it, there would be pieces missing. Like those that brought harm had vanished from her core, and all she could remember is the vagueness of family, before slipping back to the life of here.

Uriel, returned — and she remembered those she left behind.
