maybe someone can give him some pointers lmao
Boredom had driven the boy to action. Everyone around the mountain always seemed so busy with various tasks, most of which he couldn't really understand the importance of yet, only that they were helping, but more often than not he was told that he could not help. That he was too young or he should find his siblings to play with. Well, tussling with his brothers could be fun for some time, but Ara showed up more often than he liked to really enjoy himself. She always took things too far, always far more serious for something that should have been fun. He could venture off and explore more, but too often he would turn back fearing he'd anger his parents by going too far.
So what to do...Raiden had flopped in a clearing, his limbs sprawled out before him and stretched out behind as dead grass tickled his nose. A dulled golden gaze stared ahead watching a small beetle or some shelled grub thing crawl around and along a broken branch as he racked his mind for...really anything to do. Luckily, it seemed fate would give him an answer instead. The bug he had once been watching would only last a bit longer before a bird swooped down and landed before him, plucking the creature from its branch to swallow whole. He blinked in surprise as it lingered, head cocking almost as if it were looking directly at him before pecking at the ground a few times.
Never had he been so close to a live bird before...why it landed so close he wasn't sure, though realistically it was probably his pelt that blended him with the ground. Squirming his legs under him slowly, the boy wiggled his rear with newfound interest before charging at the small avian. Needless to say, his approach wasn't the most graceful, and by the time his jaws came snapping there was only empty air to meet him.
