Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Cameo for now, unless addressed

Kuhn to had noticed unfamiliar smells in his domain as well, typically he would ignore such things unless they would come critically close to his stash or was feeling particularly social.  Though this time Valmua had gone out of his sight and with strangers nearby.

Never completely entering the scene, he stayed back, keeping to the low growth, scoping out the general nature of the visit.  He viewed his princessa, perform what he took to be diplomacy of sorts, conversating with the strangers. It would seem that they had paid his markings and scent no mind, so they would likely be clueless to his presence as well, save for Valmua.

The strangers seemed to be taking their leave, exchanging friendly gestures.  It was a good justification to keep his claim so loose.

"Thank you," he replied, noticing the way that she eyed him. He didn't have time to give it much thought, as they had more pressing matters. When Uriel spoke, Rannoch turned his attention to him and nodded. Although he knew what they had to do, this was something that they'd have to make as a group. He refused to tell either of them what they needed to do.

With his preoccupation, he didn't even notice the tiger watching them.

Excusing himself with a dip of his head, Rannoch turned and took his leave. He figured that Uriel would follow, and together they'd go and discuss their next move.
