Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

No it's perfect!

Kentaro had also yet to find a permanent spot to settle down and sleep. Rarely did he ever even return to a den, but instead found random nooks and crannies throughout the territory to hide away in and catnap. With his level of energy, coupled with his tendency to explore, it just wasn't practical for him to have a set sleeping spot, so he just... didn't. Kentaro preferred it this way - at least for now. Gave him more time to map out the territory, which he admittedly had not quite succeeded in just yet.

He was lingering nearer to the denning area today. It was simply where his paws had taken him, though he supposed it would be nice to hang out with @Kei, or @Kyo, or even that standoffish guy @Yuji. Selfishly, he kind of hoped to run into Kyo, solely because he wanted to swoon over the big guy again.

That particular brand of luck was not on his side today, but another certainly was. The Order was not large by any means, and so it was a little difficult to run into someone new, but Kentaro had managed it today.

Another big guy - much bigger than Kenta himself, - wandered about, seeking something. At first, Kentaro only watched from a distance, ears perked as he observed the stranger. Covered in scars, grizzled, older. Kentaro was intrigued immediately, though he did not want to startle this man like he had Yuji.

So instead of approaching immediately, Kentaro simply woofed from where he stood, tail swishing easily behind him, keeping his posture carefully open and radiating friendliness.

Couldn't hurt to at least get his attention, could it?
