"WHAT IS.."
They would be a cute little thing if their very existence didn’t smell of horror.They’re several shades of brown, light on their cheeks and legs, lighter around their maw and paws. Their back showcases a beautiful dark cocoa color. And, on two paws, this same cocoa color coats one toe. This cocoa darkens the tips of their ears too. Their eyes are a pink base, with a ring of silver in the very middle. They’re small, too small, even when fully grown they won’t be above 25 inches.
Then, you look closer, and the horror sets in. Scars, bite scars, cross their mouth and nose, and cut above their eyebrow, as well as dashing across one of their legs, and a back hip. They’re almost emaciated, zombie like, barely clinging to the scrawny category. This youngling hasn’t known kindness ever in their young life.

Personality
"..THE MUSIC OF LIFE"
Blank slate, with a spice.
Whip doesn’t display any personality in the slightest, as though they never got the chance to develop one. They have paranoia in spades, often refusing to rest in the same spot each night. Everything is regarded with suspicion, even kindness, and their own shadow scares them. They smile and laugh like any normal child, but it’s mostly performative. Whip hasn’t felt comfortable enough to laugh ever since they’ve been born. They’re frequently stuffing themselves into small holes and shaded spots, hiding from perceived threats.
They regard the world with suspicion and fear, but also a certain amount of trepidation. It’s just who they are, really.

FamiliarWhip is bonded to an eastern whip-poor-will who does not have a name other than that of the bird. The bird does not communicate in common, but understands it. Whip and the bird speak in whistles to each other.
Regarding Speech
Whip understands English and Romanian, but they will not speak in more than whistles. Due to past trauma, they’ve gone selectively mute, and will not speak unless wholly and completely comfortable, which, with their personality, is a one in a million chance.
