Much like the rest of the Blackwater line, there is little remarkable to be found in Ezra's appearance. His tall, muscular frame is wrapped in a pelt of varying shades of brown. His neck and ruff are painted with a lighter beige to match the fur running up the bridge of his nose and painted across his tail and sides. A dark saddle of ochre deepening to black runs across his shoulder and down his spine towards his tail, sweeping down his back haunches. His undersides lighten to a dirty tan. A splash of black sits just beside his nose on his muzzle like a smudge of coal that can't be cleaned off.

Ezra's fur is thick and often unkempt, lending to an overall, perpetually rugged appearance. His eyes are perhaps the only stand-out feature on his otherwise average visage as they shine a pale, champagne gold. He moves with a subtle swagger, though he prefers to remain unobtrusive and blend into his surroundings.

Ezra Blackwater was born to the alpha pair of Blackwater Cuesta--the reigning pack in a conglomerate of sister packs that exists somewhere the families have always just referred to as The West. There were six packs in the West made up of a few different families, but most notably the Blackwaters, Hales, Crows and Westfalls. The packs generally functioned just like any other, with the exception of all major decisions and oversight of conflicts being the ultimate responsibility of the Cuesta's Blackwaters.

At a young age, Ezra was groomed like all others within the packs to be a devoted member of the family. He learned the meaning of duty of honor and, most of all, to put family first. His passion for exploration and natural protective instincts lead him to a life in the force--a group of wolves that live a pseudo-nomadic life travelling between the packs, resolving disputes, guarding the territories and providing other services as needed.

When the opportunity came for him to lead a scouting party further out into the unclaimed territories of the West with the intention of establishing a new sister pack for the clan, Ezra seized it eagerly. He and a few of his packmates, including three of his siblings, set out in late Summer, only for Ezra to find himself awakening in a new, unfamiliar world with no sign yet of the wolves with whom he'd been travelling.
