Blackbeard's favorite past-time is masking his emotions behind a lazy demeanor. He'll watch and listen, wait for the enemy to strike first before making his move. Often giving blank stares that seemingly betray no emotions, Blackbeard is the epitome of what he was once raised to be before this life. Feeling like he's being watched without his sight is his worst fear - something in his head tells him to never leave his back unguarded, but it's quite hard to do that as a tiny pup without any eyesight. He will often find ways to lean into trees just so his vulnerable places are not exposed. Even though blind, you can fight back. Not so much if your scruff is in someone else's mouth.

Despite masking quite well, it is easy to hurt Blackbeard's feelings. He cares quite a bit about what other wolves think of him, down to the last comments by passerby. He obsesses over things others say, isolating himself until he can fix the issue someone else may not like - whether that be his sight - his weight - or anything else, no matter how unfeasable. It is hard for this wolf to make friends, and that part of himself will most likely never be gone, even with careful planning of outsiders. Custom to pushing others away, this wolf thinks its perfectly fine to be alone even if it hurts his mental health.

There is no 'on the job' for this guy anymore, but something tells him laying around and living the easy life isn't for him. That he must be doing something greater than he's worth, something greater than his deformites are worth. Bouts of violence can come to him, it feels natural to hurt and maim. Even feels good sometimes, but the wolf won't be able to figure out why at first.
