The Nameless Mountain
Rising sharply into strange, jagged spires, The Nameless Mountain is a labyrinthian place of twisting trails among stones that only seems impassable and inhospitable at first glance. Thick coniferous forests rise along its lower reaches, which are every bit as broad as they are tall, and the pathways leading up the mountainside are treacherous for the inexperienced climber. No one truly knows what lies at the summit that is eternally shrouded in snow and clouds, but for the fortunate and bold who manage the climb, word has it that they are awarded views like no other.

OriginMany moons ago, Charon and Amekaze founded a claim on Moonspear after combining their two packs, Stavanger Bay and the Sunspire, to help survive the winter. Between them, matters escalated, and the pair went on to build their branch of the Ostrega family together upon the mountain. When the founders passed, their daughter Hydra and her mate, Dirge, took to the helm. In time, Hydra’s brother joined them in leadership as their second; surviving and thriving through feast, flood, or famine. In a continuation of their claim, Hydra and Dirge’s son Osiris expanded their reach through Firefly Glen, protecting their stretch of wilderness. It was a lasting legacy in the making, until a meteor struck the mountain, claiming many.
PresentHydra and Dirge awoke anew upon The Nameless Mountain. Finding their bearings and ensuring the place is habitable, they strike out to find answers and their own. When it became apparent that this is no temporary thing, Hydra resolved to keep those found safe. Built on the foundations of what was once Moonspear, Empyrean is a familial unit that protects one another while also hoping to be a beacon for those that they have not yet found to return home to, none to be abandoned in their efforts to find those that are lost.
ValuesPack is family. New or old, once you are a ranked member of Empyrean you are inundated into their family. All are protected, and each carry the weight of one another. Should the family continue to expand as it once had in its histories, conquest is surely in the cards. They tend to raise active tradesmen: scouts, protectors, hunters, and savvy warriors. Though it is ability and loyalty of all kinds that are fostered here.
LegacyBy and by, Empyrean is traditionalist when speaking to the way of the wolf--brutality and bonds alike. Territory aggressive, Empyrean is as protective over their claim as they are one another. Mindful of the pull on the pack's resources, leadership permission is required to conceive and successfully bear a litter. Often in order to gain such favor, individuals first must be a mated pair and well regarded upon the slopes. Beyond rebuilding, Hydra hopes to cultivate a safe environment for all of her family to thrive within.
Things you might be able to expect should the future shine favorably on Empyrean's wolves could be arranged mateships with allies, creating another branch for territory expansion, and more.
RankingsA deeper update to come: Centralizing originally around a family hierarchy, rankings are conceptually fluid as times demand, able to evolve...When there are more wolves in the ranks to help further flesh it out, would like to build into a structure with subordinate members of the pack sorting roughly into "squads" beneath a leading captain. Stay tuned.
