Gold was a small tree kangaroo who lived on her own, despite the fact she was pregnant with a joey. It was a warm morning with clear skies. The sun was up bringing warmth to the forest. Gold was asleep high in a tree inside a tree hollow that held plenty of room for the sleeping marsupial. She slowly opened her eyes and saw it was morning. She then yawned and got up. A new day, a new adventure. She climbed out feeling somewhat hungry. She decided to go for some moss that gathered at the bottom of the tree from the ground. She skillfully climbed down and began eating the delicious green moss that gathered on the tree. Gold may have preferred flowers, fruits, insects and such, but as a tree kangaroo she could also eat birds and birds' eggs. Birds and birds' eggs were the only two things that she ate aside from her usual nonmeat diet. Gold was happy that soon she wouldn't be alone. She would have a joey in her pouch to care for. Gold was a kind creature and wanted to make some friends. She was wary around carnivores, however. She ate but also made sure she was aware of her surroundings. She would quickly climb the tree if she had to. The trees were her number one source of safety.
