Beyond Velaris' walls the world here was beautiful and plentiful. She was certain there wouldn't be a day of great famine like what had occurred back home. The things that replayed in her memories these past weeks that reminded her like mocking demons as a child slept alone in their dark room.
But in her case, she didn't have mom and dad to snuggle up to when her heart raced to the point where she'd wake up in the middle of the night.
Thankfully these lads were far from that. While she caught a little grouse for herself, Remington was happily eating some berries she managed to pick. Early autumn berries. Luckily for him a rose bush was right for the picking. The thorns cutting her face in some places were a small price to pay to watch him happily eat the fruit it offered. His little cheeks so full and a little smile on his face made it worth the effort.
Oh either side of the fields were two packs. Both claiming their respective mountains. While she plucked at the bird to rid it of any pesky feathers she didn't wanna eat, and tore at the meat below - she pondered which of the two she would visit next before heading home?
Home.
Did anyone even notice she was gone? Did they care? Would they notice if she came back? A part of her wished they'd be upset, at least then she'd knew she mattered even a little to the group than just some number boosting.
