Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported

Klaus was nowhere to be found... Screwed and moved on, she supposed that was the usual way things were but the memories of their time together would be fond ones. Just another notch on her bedpost, and she too would move on to the next. After all, they were nothing to one another... weren't they? Just all fun and games and Klaus was now onto the next; she wished him well.

But still she hoped she wasn't forgotten. That she would be remembered and that no other woman could compare to her as he bounces from one piece of ass to the next. Such a thought was enough to keep a smile on her face and wander through the dying flowers in autumn's chilling air. Their scent remained in a light perfume in the meadows, but their colours had long faded and nothing but soft grasses were here for her.

Under the silver moonlight she watched as the flickering lights of fireflies kept her company in such a place. It was lonesome. Only @Antares remained in Shiroshika and as handsome as he was, Sachiko needed more - not to mention she was afraid of getting too attached to the dark man. And so she wandered from their home and back into the wilderness around their mountains to seek out companionship away from their dens.

Whether it be a man or even just a friend. For now, she played with the bugs as she lept after them. Trying to catch them with a gentle catch between her teeth, wondering if they would burn her mouth like any light or if it was some kind of cold light like the unreachable stars above.

The sun had long departed the sky, its brilliance of golden light stolen from the fairytale landscape. The colors were gone but the magic that they had left behind was not forgotten. For instead, it had remained in a different form: Blinking from within a different body. Small lights danced in the hundreds as they glimmered around him, strobing in the trees, the lush grass, and the air that tasted of purple blossoms. This was truly a beautiful place, one he had become enamored by for a number of reasons.

Sleep had not found him on this night. It did not snake its gentle touch through the long silky strands of his fur and bribe him to coddle it into the warm ground, but had instead vanished. Its absence left a bitter taste in his mouth and a restlessness that hummed within his body. Therefore he followed the fireflies as the alternative. Their lights guided him beneath the bright canopy of stars, drawing him through the grove, the moon a lure he’d pursue.

He smelled her before he saw her, his senses drinking in those floral perfumes at once. Vienne’s pale image had come to mind in an instant, but the picture wavered. The aroma was similar, the same region, the same pack, possibly the same family— though this one belonged to a woman who was older. Beck moved forward quietly, spying the pale girl not far away as she chased the bugs that harmonized in the late evening hour. His head fell to the side, watching her, contemplating silently what it was exactly that she had been doing. She wasn’t eating them, was she? “I can catch you something if you’re that hungry.” The deep chords of his throat vibrated, a friendly sound as a soft smile tugged his mouth upward.

Getting lost in the moment - trying to catch the little lightning bugs as well as seeing them blink in and out of her sight in her peripherals, it all felt like a dream.

Then she caught one. Sachiko held her mouth shut, caging the bug carefully in her maw and avoiding crushing it with her tongue by stilling its movements through blocking the back of her throat. Then a voice cut through the autumn silence, nearly having the girl jump out of her skin as she turned suddenly to face the... tall... dark... handsome man who so kindly offered to catch her some food.

Immediately she calmed, letting her posture relax and a smile blossom on her face all the while not opening her maw just yet. Instead she let her lips draw up to show off the little blinking light in the ivory cage. Once she enjoyed the light coming from within her maw, never wanting to hurt the bug, she'd allow for her maw to hang open, and stick out her pinkish tongue with the bug resting on its surface only to fly away as soon as it tasted freedom once more.

“I was just having fun... but-” She took a few steps closer, wanting to take a better look at this man and shamelessly letting her eyes soak in his sight. “But who am I to turn down a free meal?” But she was clearly more interested in him than food. So whatever kept him around for a bit longer, she'd take it.

A chuckle rumbled through his chest, the thick chords vibrating as those eyes of different colors watched her lips upturn. Reflecting in his gaze, that greenish light flashed, glowing behind the interlocking gate of her jaws before its composer flitted away toward the stars. He trailed the insect as it departed before he’d turn back to the woman in front of him. The amusement was evident upon his features, the smile that stretched his lips only growing in response to her antics.

This was certainly not Vienne. Without hesitation, he examined her form. That intense gaze traveling down her slender body, across those pale grays until they caressed the subtle rose colored patterns accenting her feminine features. Her voice was just a touch louder than Vienne’s, imbued with a childlike excitement that perked his ears the smallest bit forward. Perhaps what caught his attention most were those eyes. Like that of a petal plucked from a rose, they were a deep and brilliant red that sparkled, a mirrored image of the fireflies slowly strobing within them. He allowed his attention to linger, if only for a moment before he cleared his throat.

She had stared much the same as Vienne, though this girl had actually moved closer. His brow hitched in the subtlest of ways, observing her quietly from where he stood. In part, he was surprised she had accepted his offer. It was intended mostly as a jest, yet on the other hand he found himself feeling rather quite pleased that she had. Offering aid to others was typical for him. He wasn’t the type of man to lie about and simply allow others to fend for themselves. His heart was perhaps much too big, foolishly at times. Who was he not to serve a hungry woman?

“Let me see what I can find for you.” He offered her a kind smile, those dark silky lips parting a fraction, revealing the bright white incisors that lay beneath. In a movement that came fluidly and natural, even to that of his mammoth form, he lowered his head to the ground in appraisal of the scents tangled there. He hadn’t known if she planned on joining him or simply waiting and watching as he’d retrieve her meal. Either way, at least he was spending the sleepless hours of the night doing something more productive than wandering the wood aimlessly.

She had met his type before. The ones to think deeply and talk little. Sachiko would be lying if she said it didn't draw her in like a moth to flame. Daring to step forward even further, a step... maybe two, cautious not to break that distance between strangers just yet but still keen on showing interest. What was he thinking? Did he think she was beautiful? Was he shy? Was he trying to figure her out?

The girl didn't dare to think he had any other thoughts in that mind of his. She was here. Her attention was his. He had offered to get her food so why wouldn't she be already running through his mind?

“Do you need assistance or shall I wait here for your return?” Either way she was pleased. Demonstrated with the smile that graced her feathery lips as large ruby eyes scanned his expression. She could lay down in the bed of late summer flowers, allow their perfume to perforate her fur and skin. Or join him on an adrenaline fueled hunt.

Beck had observed her with furthering intrigue as she took a single step toward him, and then another. The closer she stepped, the more apparent the difference in size between the two had become. What he could not describe as anything less than captivating, those ruby eyes kept him tethered to her by invisible threads.

Growing further with her offer, the smile he bore extended pleasantly. “I definitely don’t need any assistance,” It was a playful sort of tease that had glimmered equally as bright in his eyes, a rare bead of confidence peeking into his words. Not that he would ever admit in words so bold, but he had prided himself in being quite the accomplished hunter. “You can relax here, I’ll be back in a minute.” He insisted and turned around to follow a trail he had picked out a few minutes prior.

After a brief absence, Beck returned to the woman who he did not know the name of, a rabbit hanging limp and lifeless from his large jaws. The titan moved towards the waiting woman slowly with deliberate steps, placing the hare down softly at her feet. “That will taste better than some blinking bugs… hopefully.” A soft chuckle played across his mouth, the deep reverberations of his voice wrapping around the mirth handsomely. Returning to his full height once more, he withdrew, lending her the space to properly enjoy her meal. He settled adjacent from her, laying himself dow into the cool dew that had encapsulated the greenery below him.

Having gone from a fit of insomnia and a collage of memories that haunted him, the man had decided he had quite liked the way his night had been turning out. Like a page torn form a storybook, their surroundings reminded him of a fairytale. The meadow was peaceful, unendingly so and it had soothed him. The fireflies still twinkled, flying through the air like ghosts unseen until their soft orb of yellow-green light strobed gently from out of the darkness.

Despite having practically gift wrapped a meal for a stranger, he hadn’t felt used as he assumed another might have. Beck was far from being a doormat and he wasn’t a stranger to the taste of another’s blood on his tongue, but within his soul dwelled a kindness that shouldn’t have. He enjoyed providing, protecting, serving in any way he thought he could. The man had been a stranger to it himself, calloused by an unforgiving world. It was resentment, a bitter sort of rebellion that made him act otherwise, unwilling to allow the evils of reality to reap the upper hand.

There were things he wanted to ask her, conversations he wished to initiate, though he thought it better that he allow her to eat and erect her own when she was ready.

“Ah, big strong man I see.” She'd tease. Not one to be wounded by being not needed for something like a hunt. If he said he could do it alone, then so be it. Instead she would lay herself down dramatically into the petals of the grove. Letting them fly up as she crashed down into them. “I will be here then.” With a smile she'd watch him leave from over her shoulder. Hoping he wasn't making excuses to leave her here to wait, to stand her up - for if he did, she would remember him now. And 'Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, nor hell a fury like a woman scorned'. As the proverb went.

Sachiko had yet to want to teach a man a lesson in standing her up, and would like to keep it that way.

Thankfully even now her patience was rewarded. The smell of blood in the air came first, and she'd remain laying. Next was the fading warm fur of the fresh kill that was placed at her feet, and rose eyes glanced up to meet the giant who brought it. “You indeed didn't need me after all.” If he was going to poke fun at her, she would do the same with a curve of her lips, drawing the rabbit closer to her chest with a paw. Accepting his gift with grace.

“I'm sure it will.” And she was certain something else would taste even bette - but she wouldn't let those words come from her mouth. No, she'd let her eyes wander his physique instead. Letting them speak for her. “So? To what do I owe thanks for a free meal?” Why was he so freely offering to hunt for a stranger? Did he want something from her, and placated the woman with a bite to eat first to make the question more palatable?

If it were so, he was a clever man.
