It happened again. He could feel it- the loss of time, he felt like he had aged and his bones hurt like he'd been still as a stature for god knows how long. When he awoke, the Everfrost was empty. He searched wildly to catch a single scent but, it was as if the snow had blown over every trail and melted away any sign of their existence.

He screamed into the frozen woods. He screamed her name hoping she would respond but only deafening silence came back to him. And where were his children? With her, hopefully, for he was a man quickly crumbling under the weight of loss. The wound left open and bleeding for not even a sign of their bodies would bring him closure to what had happened to them.

Erebus could feel it, the swelling feeling in his eyes that threatened to make him cry. He had tried all his best efforts not to but, before he could stop it a deep breath broke the flood gates. He poured himself out into the snow where he fell like a landslide, all in one swoop into the cold ground.
He had finally gotten what he wanted. A loving mate, children of his own, and a kingdom to build. Why did the moon steal them away from him so soon? What had he done wrong to earn her displeasure, her punishment.

The man had washed away into the snow, lying there hopeless until the moon rose high to stare down at him. It gazed like a giant eye in her silvery essence, without words or any sign of understanding. The man's expression changed from woe to hatred, the tears now dry to reveal the burning wrath within. His orange eyes would glare back at her, like she had come down and taken his mate and children herself.

Were they now part of the stars that littered the sky? Stolen from him to be decorations for her.

Time meant little to her, meant nothing in fact. She had never been old enough to truly understand it, and the spectral god of this world had chosen to scramble her understanding even more, aging her forward until she was a lanky, gangly teen. She yet had the plush fur of a child, but also the beginnings of the coarse guard hairs of her adulthood.

All this meant very little to the young Tenebris child, who then

right upon the very man who happened to be her father. This, she didn't know, her eyes still closed as her still large paws covering her head as she loosed a little groan.

He crumbled underneath the sudden weight of the collision, yelping and barking out obscenities like an old Englishman. 

"My word! Have you any fucking manners!?" The man snarled, trying his best to gain his composure- his deeper emotions quickly being buried by the current situation. Something he did easily, small emotions were much easier to deal with than things more serious and heavy.

Yet as he turned to gaze at his assailant, he met the form of his daughter. Recognized by her beautifully dark brown pelt, though something had changed about her. She was much bigger than last he had remember but, he ran to her aid immediately. Doating over her lovingly as he was known to do.

"Oh my love..!" He purred, quickly inspecting her for any bruises or scratches. The man fought the tears in her eyes upon the realization that he was to have at least one of the people he loved most. And though he wished for all of them, Ordella would be enough. She would always be enough.
"Are you hurt darling?" Perhaps she would have grown a contempt for his use of pet names for his children (and his wife) but, Erebus never did care. This was his princess, his heir, an invaluable representation of his bloodline- and so he would show it often even in his words.

He would sniff around her body in search of any wound before reaching her face, at which he would kiss her and lick on her forehead and cheek. Awaiting eagerly for her to speak, though he didn't give her too much of a chance with all of his fatherly love.

It was too much, too fast. His growling fury, and then his tender affections. It was whiplash for the disoriented girl, who recoiled at first. She scrabbled backwards with her teeth bared, tongue sweeping across her gums as her nose wrinkled and her ears lay flat against her skull. There was even a quick snip of her teeth towards him, before she slowly, slowly realized who it was.

“Da?” She asked, uncurling from her self-protective position so that her spine straightened out and she stood for the first time in this new land. An ear flickered away the pet name, ignoring it in favor of contemplating his question. “I don' think so. Everythin' feels alrigh'.” She lifted a hind paw to scratch her ear for a moment, one eye squeezing closed and the other still peering at him.

And then it dawned on her.

“I fell out the fuckin' sky!!! I flew!”
