She woke with a late start.
Yet she knew what her first order of business was that morning as she turned inland, diving through the thick trees that shielded those who did not like the coastal water. How they loomed higher than any years she had lived in any life. The promise of fresh water deeper from the salty seas.
The prey life still seemed bountiful too. Hardly enough of them to usher off grazing deer or ground-roosted birds that took shelter among the wildflowers and trees.
However through all of this she picked after the scent of fox. Quick to prowl after it like a hunter, thin legs carried her with a quickness through the foliage of the island's innards.
