Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Please complete this interest check survey by April 6! If players do not specify that they wish to continue managing their packs by this time, they will be disbanded. If you have any concerns or wish to discuss anything, please reach out to myself or another staff member.

stab me in the eye

He had grown a bit, it seemed. At least, Agate could assume. He was much longer and lithe than last he could remember, though he hadn't noticed the change when it was happening. Just one day he stared extra long into the eye of Osiris and found a creature significantly less recognizable. Was that really him? Huh. He was kinda handsome, he thought to himself.
What even is handsome? By the laws of attraction, was he even allowed to consider himself so? He wasn't sure. Perhaps he should ask Nyra sometime, she seemed to have all the answers.
Despite the circumstances, she appeared to be a good substitute parent. She encouraged them all to improve, kept them safe and healthy. Not much else one could ask for in a mother. She was growing on him, that was for sure.

Long eyelashes finally fluttered after an even longer stare in the water before the boy finally turned away and began to make his way out of the canyon. Figuring he might go exploring or something, unsure yet. It was a slow and uneventful day, anyway, without much to excite his mind.
