While she didn't think she'd have to tell anyone else about M'Jakuna, part of Aika wanted to go check in on Hikari, and that same part also knew they'd have nothing to talk about, so . . . why not talk about boys? The girl chuckled as she made her way through the blood-red forest, oddly happy for the dark nature of the trees. She hummed, coming upon her sisters scent.

Quick to follow, as always, Aika put her nose to use, stumbling across her sister grooming her pelt, seemingly quite proud of her work; while "vain" was a word she didn't frequently use, it seemed to explain her snottier, older sister quite well. Aika gave a chuff, a playful smile decorating her features, though her stomach filled with anxious butterflies at the thought of explaining the crush she had on the chocolate-y man.

Well, may as well start strong, right? “ヒカリ? 私はあなたと話をしたいです,” — "Hikari? I want to talk with you," She called, taking a seat a few ways away from the lady and wrapping her tail around herself, an expectant look flickering in her eyes as she studied her sisters expression. This could either go well, or . . . terribly awful. “私は男の子に片思いを持っている、と私は何をすべきかわからない。 ヒカリ、私 . . . 私は彼がかもしれないと思います . . . 私のように戻って？” — "I have a crush on a boy, and I don't know what to do. Hikari, I . . . I think that he might . . . like me back?"

She just hope it didn't go too badly.

^^When you had a family with an annoyingly happy social butterfly, and someone moody and selfish like Hikari - the two didn’t find a lot of common ground to speak about. So often, there was nothing to talk about.

But they were still sisters, and while Hikari was the literal rotten apple; the cunt of the entire operation, they were still family. Hikari still loved them to some degree, even if she and the rest of them didn’t really know what degree, per say ;;

She was enjoying her time alone in the red forest, taking the time to groom herself because she was the most beautiful wolf of them all, and she just had to be perfect in appearance, because lord knows her personality was trash.

Of course it was Aika that found her. She was the glue that held the family together. The talkative, perfect, little annoying sister that would bat her eyelashes at danger, and ask it what it’s name was.

This was different, though. Aika had something she wanted to talk about. Hm? She wasn’t the type to stir trouble or drama with Hikari, of all people… so what could it have possibly been? Curious, Hikari stopped her groom, mid-lick; a total blep expression with there ever was one.

“続ける。あなたは私の注意を持っています。” — Continue. You have my attention.

So her sister was coming to her, for the first (and perhaps the last time) ever for… for sisterly advice?

If she listened and gave advice like a good sister, it would appear like she was growing soft. Aside from being vain woman, Hikari had often been described as being emotionally detached; hardcore, and unapproachable - firmly believing that emotions made her weak and vulnerable.

Yet, here Aika was, testing this; but they were also alone..

She slowly stood, nose twitching as she approached her bigger (in size, not birth right) sister, shoving her nose into her coat as though to steal away the scent of this mystery man that might have the audacity to like her sister.

She circled her sister like a shark, and decided this was worth her time.

She circled her once, coming to sit aside her, daring to lean against her sister, in an almost affectionate, sisterly type of way.

“すべて教えて” — Tell me everything.

“すべて教えて” Hikari said, circling Aika like a shark as if she were about to devour her whole, before running off to bite off M'Jakuna's head next; she took a breath, why was she always worried about her sisters taking his head? Somehow her brother had been a lot calmer, though Aika realised she hadn't really talked about him specifically. She took another breath. “彼の名前はムシャーナ、ええと、私は彼を "MJ" と呼んでいます,” — "His name is M'Jakuna, um, I call him "MJ,"" She began.

“彼は私を呼んでいます . . . 彼の雪はキスをした。 かわいいでしょ?” — "He calls me . . . his Snow-Kissed. It's cute, isn't it?" Aika felt warm with affection towards the shadowy man, though her wisteria eyes strayed from meeting her sisters own; she smiled, tone breathy and whimsical as she spoke, as if M'Jakuna was some sort of fairytale prince.

The lady looked to Hikari, hoping that she'd smiling, or do anything that wasn't an obvious sign of aggression towards the guy she was interested in – especially if he was maybe somehow interested in her, too. “私は多分あなたが彼を好きだと思います！ 彼は甘くて安心して親切で、私をこの場所に連れて行ってくれました–それは美しいです–私は私たちが住んでいた藤の畑について話し、その後彼は私を紫の花の畑に連れて行ってくれました。 本当に彼は完璧だと思うヒカリ。 私は本当に、本当に彼が好きです。” — "I think that maybe you'd like him! He's sweet, and reassuring, and kind, and he took me to this place – it's beautiful – I told him about the wisteria fields we used to live in and he took me to a purple flower field afterwards. I really think he's perfect, Hikari. I really, really like him."

He made her happy, like, very, really, seriously happy; Aika hoped that maybe he'd want to spend at least a little bit of time with her, even as friends. He always made her smile, whether on purpose . . . or not.

“お姉ちゃんどうするか考えはあるか? . . "ウー"誰か？ どうやって彼を私のようにするのですか？ 私はちょうど本当に、本当に私はなしで彼が好きであることを彼に伝えたいです . . . 彼に言った それは奇妙ですが、私は彼が周りにいるたびに私の胃の中で非常に多くの蝶を感じる,” — "Big Sister, do you have any ideas on how to, uh . . . 'woo' someone? How do I – uh – make him like me? I just really, really want to tell him that I like him without . . . telling him. It's weird, but I feel so many butterflies in my stomach whenever he's around," She had so many questions, and hoped that maybe either of her sisters would be able to help her, though if not, Aika supposed she'd have to resort to her brothers usual shenanigans and hope that somehow – some way – he had some sort of reasonable idea to . . . get these feelings across . . .

Or smush them down so they weren't bothering her anymore. “本当に、何でもうまくいくでしょう。 どうすれば彼に言うの? または、さらに良いことに、どのように私はこれらの感情を取り除くだろうので、彼はどのようにきれいに賞賛せずに彼を見ることができますか？” — "Really, even anything would work. How do I tell him? Or, even better, how would I get rid of these feelings so can look at him without admiring how pretty he is?"

Oh no, no no..

It was, by far, worse than Hikari had originally feared. This was not a little schoolgirl crush like her baby sister had originally lead her to believe. No, no… see, Aika was already falling down that slippery slope known as love, and well — kudos for her, coming to Hikari as though she wasn’t adding fuel to Hikari’s already lit fire.

Had Hikari ever smiled when it didn’t involve the pain or suffering of others? Perhaps when she was plotting and scheming to bring her own pain on someone else, but to smile and giggle like Aika-darling was?

Never.

Hikari and anything happy/emotions mixed like oil and water.

So Hikari smiled softly; a feeling that made her cheeks feel weird; muscles being used for the first time, she suspected. She smiled and she wondered how strange it looked on her face.

Her sister wanted to look at him without admiring how pretty he was, clearly hinting that he should no longer be pretty — something Hikari knew she could actually help with.

“Little Sister, I am so..happy… for you” Even saying nice things felt weird in her throat, but this was her sister, and while she did not like to look soft, vulnerable, or weak, Aika had not shot any jokes or said anything about how Hikari was showing interest in her, for what very may well be the first time.

Aika hadn’t made her feel bad, so this was Hikari stepping out of her comfort zone to assist her sister. Selfishness, vanity, and her overall shitty attitude aside, it was family that she cared about the most.

Even if she never showed it.

“You have sisters for a reason, no? Let me do the work for you. I'll find this MJ and see what information I can learn, okay?” Hikari leaned up; sitting on her rear, suddenly, and pressing a paw against Aika’s shoulder, to balance herself as she stood, to plant a very, very, very rare kiss on Aika’s forehead, while also stealing more of MJ’s scent (assuming she smelled like him.)

“Detective Hikari is on the case!”

She winked, and then, with a grin, she was off.

It looked weird when her sister smiled. Like it wasn’t completely natural, and her tone didn’t sound very happy, nor completely honest either, but hey, this didn’t seem like the worst possible outcome, so . . . yay? Maybe?

And now she was going to find MJ. Aika’s pelt itched as Hikari called him MJ; Jealousy? Obsessiveness? No, surely not, that wasn’t who she was, so why would she feel like that? Then again, why would Hikari call him that, when she literally gave her his proper name? She sighed, though froze as her sister gave her a rare kiss on the forehead.

Oh, uh, wow? Huh. Oh, wait, she did probably have the chocolate mans’ scent all over her, so that was probably why Hikari showed her any sort of affection; otherwise, she wouldn’t do such a thing, at least, that’s what the naïve, silly little sister thought. That was all she was, right?

The naïve, little sister, who needed to be protected at all times and wasn’t allowed to ever stray from family. She was the good little Fujiwara girl, now, wasn’t she? Aika sighed, watching as Hikari pranced away, and tried to breathe deeply; she felt so lonely. Come back, MJ, she begged, feeling as if he was the only one who treated him like the adult she was — a four year old.
