Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Her sister returned, and the court process begun. Aries for a moment stepped out — life crashing in what seemed to almost be too true, that she wondered if it'd all slip from her paws like sand in a river. Tears of joy came when Wren was within the arms of Duskguard, tucked closely as she was promised by their mother and sworn to keep ; and now in another safety that was not the Winterglade. A marriage that did not need come anymore and all that was left was.. Learning where they were, and to continual that survive. She wisked away for moments, a swearing to return but nestled somewhere near the mountains for a touch of the warmer side.

She wanted to inhale the reality of what was — see the changes of the falling leaves, and the red that kissed the woods. Colored of roses and suns, an array of warm colors would touch around as Aries stepped into a forest ; snow-touched that was a contrast to the land she was in. The leaves crunched underneath her paws and she took a deep breath to smell the crisp autumn air.

Within the prime of their colors, would the tundra woman note, as she walked through. Winter was coming closer, and the pile of leaves was falling faster and faster.. Until the trees would be bare. It a continual wonder when the first snowfall would occur.
