Aries thought of @Torben and his predicament as an albino. Sensitive to the sun and the skin, a sunburn to maybe happen as she so heard his kind would happen. It must be awfully horrible especially at how the snow beamed off the sun ; it was no wonder he mainly stayed a night traveler. She took some time in thinking of what could be done to help, for no herb could truly help any physical traits that one was born with, but maybe.. She could attempt to ease it?

The young woman realized the cache's were now, supplemented more then usual. Surely by the help of @Kuhn who could hunt bigger beasts than any of them. She could see a caribou in the pile, and it had given her an idea. Aries spent the day not only pulling it out of the cache, but carefully.. Was she skinning it for it's hide. Big enough, where a wolf could comfortably where. Especially a man of his size. It took the whole day! When night finally came she had a humph of triumph through tired eyes and sore mouth, bite carefully and trying to make little holes as possible.

If he could shield himself from the sun, maybe he could spend more time in the day. So, Aries went to go find him, lugging the large hide. She looked a bit awkward, as it dragged between her legs and under her belly. Awkwardly stepping and trying to find the man.

It was almost time to get up. Torben blinked sleep from his eyes, squinting against the stars and moon's dim light. Even if he squished himself to the back of his den, the sun still could burn him if not careful. He stretched, his fluffy rump lifting like a feline. Turning, he didn't expect to see anyone near the entrance. He took his time. But there was someone waiting for him.

"Aries?"

She seemed to be lugging something, having stopped once she reached the den's entrance. He looked a bit confused for a split second before exiting. Torben wondered if he should offer to help. She could be just passing by, for all he knew. Maybe someone else needed the pelt. That's what he thought anyway. "What'ya have there?"

He walked outside and realized the evening was later than he assumed. "Ye need help?" he sounded a bit hesitant to offer, but would if she needed it.

She dropped it in exhaustion, right in front of his done. Her tongue lolled out as she panted lightly, it took a lot of effort to bring it over — but she was more tired of the effort of wovening it. When the moon was coming to nigh', as when the man of the night would emerge from so. He seemed concerned and offered to help, but she smiled and shook her head, "no, no, this is for you," Aries said with a tired smile.

"I had hoped by wovening a hide from slain prey, that perhaps it can give you a cover during the day, for anytime you need to emerge." It was lightly heavy for her, but maybe enough for him to attend meetings for when the leaders would call them. Maybe even enjoy within activities that were when the sun was high ; she would feel terrible if he had to miss out, and she couldn't help. As another local medic, Aries spent time in thinking how to aid in his sunburns and light issue — with this, she thought, surely could help.

He looked healthy, without any of those current ailments — she hoped this would help to continue on that health.

He... didn't know how to react. Honest. Nobody had gone out of their way for him before. Especially concerning his albinism. Torben's cheeks tickled a bit pink, staring down at the pelt she had crafted out of the goodness of her heart. "O-Oh" he stupidly said, sounding ungrateful. He swallowed his emotions back, feeling his tear ducts even sting. Threatening to expose his calm ulterior. He inched a bit closer, sniffing the pelt.

"Thank ye, Aries" he said, forcing his voice to be level. He subconsciously cleared his throat and raised his head to look at her directly now. How does one tell someone they're grateful? That the gesture meant a lot to him? He was emotionally stunted in that department. Though a tickle of emotion did pour in, making his tone waver "in t' past... everyone sorta accepted it. They just... let me be alone." He shook his head, feeling his neck fur fluff up.

Not out of anger, but of unease and embarrassment. It made his chin and cheeks look very fluffy indeed. Puffy like an owl tucking its head. "Ah, I should... try it on, aye?" He moved closer, wiggling under the pelt best he could.

"There is not much medicine can do to help unfortunately." She could understand and sympathize why many medics would struggle with helping them. Although there was medicine to prevent sunburn, it was unethical to basically bathe them in it everyday, and wasn't as effective as they would so wish — it was but a short-term solution until their skin would also have issues. It was hard to really think of anything that could help, but he felt good at night, and most likely with shade.. It could give some sort of covering.

She was smiling, stepping back and allowing him to wiggle it on, "with Kuhn now in Duskguard, if the pelt ever goes bad, we can skin other caribou." A safe to say they could have a continue supply if the hide ever tore. She hoped it was comfortably, firstly.

He had told Priestess Olive as much too. She had been curious if she could assist him somehow, and approached him, but Torben had turned the notion down. It wasn't that he didn't want a 'cure' — it's just that there was no cure. Burns could be treated, but weariness due to the sun could pass with time. It made him hyperaware that he had to rest and avoid the light, or else he had some unscheduled downtime.

Torben wiggled under it, feeling half-foolish. Aries was trying to help despite the ridiculous appearance he now had. He probably would scare the pups if he came near them with a skinned pelt over his own. "Yeah" he remarked, trying to get used to the smell and feel of the 'coat' before really commenting. He hadn't ever had a 'coat' before... It felt strange once on him. He gingerly tried to step, avoiding any loose pelt so he didn't trip "how do I look?"

He gave an uneasy, lacking confidence sort of smile.

"Well, it looks cozy at least." There was a smile with a light chuckle ; very obviously refraining to say it rather looked.. Ridiculous. A large man carrying a coat, it didn't settle on as smoothly she hoped and hummed lightly in thought of anyway to fasten it to his hide. However anyway she thought would simply be in the way of movement.. He was normally a night-walker, but she still wanted to make the day as comfortable as possible.

"Hopefully when the sun can see for yourself if it helps."

He gives a light chuckle. "Ya don't have to be polite" Torben assures her "it feels cozy but... I bet I'll turn heads." Equally polite in return. She had gone out of her way to do this, so it'd be cruel to say it's ugly. Hell, that was the furthest thing from his mind anyway. He rather looked ridiculous wearing a skinned hide, but he didn't say it was ugly. He felt... Odd.

That was it. Odd. "It'll take some gettin' used to, yeah..." Torben murmured. If a wolf with no problems wore a pelt, they'd feel uncomfortable too. Just because he was albino didn't mean he needed special treatment or had a weird way of looking at things. 'Turning heads' was the least of his concerns. He felt he'd trip a few times as well. Torben made a mental note to never hurt wearing it.

Aries seemed in thought. "Thinkin' of ways to improve it?" He asked as he turned back to her.

"Mmm, maybe so, but maybe they'll be more distracted seeing you in the daylight." He was not known as the walker of the sun, the man of pale whites who was only seen under the moonlight.. Children would not know of him too much with their bed time, and other workers who kept a schedule of slumber by midnight would not have too many conversations with him.

"Our paws are only so limited to help keep it at tightly." She nodded in responds, thinking of anyway that could improve so. It doesn't look the prettiest, but as long as it helped she would be satisfied. There was a wonder though if there was anything else that could help besides just shade. What herb could help an albino? Unfortunately she was fresh out of any ideas besides the pelt one..

When she looked over at him he didn't seem to have any recent burns or ailments ; a rather healthy male besides what looked to be the usual blindness of pure white upon him, and the coloring of eyes. She knew aloe vera could help if he ever got some, but she didn't know where one could find one nearby.

He could not help but chuckle a bit. "I suppose," he mused, leaning back to allow his rump to hit the earth. The pelt fell off, though more like slipped gently and slowly so not to damage itself "guess they'll all think m' some type of boogeyman." Especially the poor pups. He was glad now that he hadn't encountered many of them on his nighttime walks. Even stark as he was would they think him a ghost?

Torben was thankful he learned from an early age to be less headstrong and more patient. If he rushed into the open so much, no doubt he'd be displaying burns more than battle scars. It was an uncomfortable feeling to be burnt when the sun was like fire... He didn't need the Tundra to spout flames either. "Aye" he agreed quietly "I wonder if 'nother species with dexterous paws could help. I heard o' some species... Monkeys?" He tilted his head.

But he doubted they existed in such a place as this. Torben hadn't even seen one sign of them. Long of limb, tail or not. Covered in fur but also bare skin in some places. Strange beasts. "Though if there were some out there, they'd want something in return." He added with a brief sigh. His people had come across monkeys as territorial, equally attracted by shiny objects. Greedy and unwelcoming. Upon a raiding time.

"I also heard" as if reading her mind, but was not. If she could coat the pelt in aloe vera, could it stop the heat? "o' a plant to help with burns. Mostly tropical. Helpful wit' other things too. Cuts and infection." The plant had died pretty fast in his world, brought back to be admired and used at once. His northern kin liked to bring back valuables of their travel, even though most were merchants now.

"I would think you are too handsome to be a fabled nightmare." Like any bedtime story, she knew of the Boogeyman that lurked in the forests. The shadows that touched the never-ending night, plaguing children and taking them to it's wasteland for an eternity of horror and hell.. Often a way to keep small pups from wandering off in the middle of the night with parents guidance, but Aries believed that every tale, every rumor.. Always started from something that was originally true.

"Monkeys you say? I haven't heard such an animal. Although I heard raccoons are sometimes tricky with their hands." Coming from a land that did not exchange words cross species, she never met one to personally know if it's true or not. Though through hunt and the way that they sometimes stole, they were mischievous critters with rather dexterous hands compared to wolven paws, or felines. Sometimes she would see them clean items within water, and thought perhaps it was just a trait that came with having movable pads.

"Oh that's aloe," but she did know that! "my glade used to trade with wolves, from what I heard they come from very hot places." To the place of endless sands and where the forests are higher then the mountains, but even more lushed with heat that would melt any tundra wolf.. She knew of it, and it was very helpful. However now that trade was absent, it'd be difficult, to near impossible to obtain.
