Fittingly, she waited until sunset.

Urszula had been given free reign to decorate for the Fall Equinox festival, and Fate's Respite looked... different from the traditional setup they had formerly employed.

A variety of skulls and bones lay strategically placed and hung around much of the territory, suspended from both bushes and branches as well as laid elegantly upon the ground at points of interest, all of these interspersed with fetching clusters of wildflowers and strands of ivy.
This time the festival was to be held near the communal dens, if only to help keep the pups in one spot for the duration of the event, and Zula had taken special care to place several large horned deer skulls over a rocky outcrop that overlooked the proceedings. Red and yellow flowers were held reverently between their antlers as if in tribute to the dead, which made a surprisingly beautiful display given its macabre nature.

Blood-red symbols of mysterious origin had also been painted with stained paws upon rocks and tree bark alike, purposely placed in such a way that they led up to the gathering itself.

In front of the dens themselves, serving as a centerpiece, a large pile of stones had been meticulously rolled from different locations of Fate's Respite to create a makeshift altar. This by itself would have been interesting, but the real point of curiosity was the drugged goat that lay breathing softly over the top of it all - Zula, crafty in all ways, had used Valerian root to induce it into a dazed stupor, and so the still-living creature remained stationary without much fuss.

All of this blended together to create the most elegantly macabre picture Valeska had ever seen. She suspected Sreda had helped as well, particularly with some of the more ominous-looking symbols...

Nevertheless, she threw her head back and released a short howl of summons to the rest of Elysium's members.

As they trickled in, she beamed delightedly, smiling so large it seemed to encompass her face - this was their first festival since the birth of her and Harper's litters, and it filled her with joy that they could all participate as a family.

“We welcome the coming season!” she sang out, “And with it, we celebrate and feast in honor of Aether's arrival as the herald of Autumn.”

Valeska motioned toward the western side of the dens, where a small cache of carcasses hunted specifically for the festival had been collected and laid aside. It was by no means as impressive as their wedding feast, but it would certainly be enough to fill the bellies of any hungry wolves who attended (Mordecai notwithstanding).

“For our fall event, all willing participants may engage in a game - Aether's Cunning - and it is, in effect, a very fancily-named hide-and-seek,” she said by way of explanation. “The winner shall receive a promotion in title and a gift of first choice of prey for their swiftness, as well as the honor of assisting Urszula in her sacrifice of the... offering.”

She still wasn't quite used to the more bloody rituals and interests of her ghoulish friend, but they did have a certain religious appeal - albeit on the darker, heavier side of worship. Honestly, she was already pretty used to skeletons lingering around since Amaranth enjoyed them so much.

“All who wish to partake, please step forward!”

"I'll enter, if it's okay."

Tallulah stepped forward, tail swishing. She had left her hat and scarf at the den she occupied currently near the border. It was by the summons she was, well, summoned. Allowed to partake in the festival by the leaders' permission, she was quite eager to mingle and flex in equal turns. She had gazed around at the flowers, skulls, and other decorations with mild interest. True, she ain't for the type of macabre decor, but it felt strangely familiar.

Almost tribe-like.

She recalled the yipping coyotes, having their own culture. More in tune with this festival's decor, in the end. She had looked on once or twice, in awe and disgust, as a child. Wait - why did she remember this now? She recalled being with an adult, sticking close to his blond and cream fur. And just like that, it was gone. Tallulah blinked but stood her ground. She remained grounded when she stood, waiting for others to participate.

Some might have expected Dimitri to be soft about this, in his usual gentle way. But he's been counting down the days until this, and he's been upset that he's not big enough to truly help. No, he wants to be a part of this beauty. Every ritual stands out to him, and he stares at the skulls, thinking he can whisper to them and receive knowledge of the world beyond. He listens to his mother speak as if her words will bring on a rapture. And then he has the first competitive thought he's ever had. Normally he likes games with no clear winners, games where all his siblings can be great.

But as he looks at the others, he knows he has to enter. He wants to win. He doesn't care about the first pick of prey, but he absolutely cares about that ritual.

He steps forward, voice firm. "I'll enter!" he calls. He might not beat the adults, but his small size should give him an advantage in hiding. They'll never know where to look for him!

Mordecai just loved all sorts of fun and games and festivals... and food. He wasn't as enticed with the promise of promotion but the finest pick of prey? Well, he could try that! Just as the others stepped forward, sweet little Dimitri and another lady he didn't recognize. "I wanna enter!" Maybe Harper would be watching him! Would she be happy to see him compete? His little numb tail wiggled happily behind him. He probably looked nothing like an experienced knight at the moment.

Adorned with crow feathers in her mane and white clay covering her eyes, Zula was one of the first to arrive at the festivity. However, she didn't make herself known until Valeska had spoken her piece. Instead she stuck to the edge, adjusting her decorations that may have been shifted or moved over by a mouse in the night or the wind during the day. It was a haunting occasion and Zula couldn't help but feel right at piece with the eerie feeling from the sunset as it settled atop the summit. Fog had rolled in long before and now the trees were alight with the red smoke the two elements of fire and water created. It was almost mesmerising to see the way the setting sunlight reflected on the fog.

Her paw had just finished adjusting a rack of antlers leaning against the column of a tree before she felt the need to pulling herself into the group. She hadn't had the chance to grow close to the pack but she remained in the seams orchestrating solo hunts and with her recent bonding time with Sreda had her looking out for the girl in the corner of her sight. It was pleasant enough to see Valeska but to see her daughter would add to the feeling she was sure. Urszula liked children after all, she almost couldn't wait for the day she was to have them herself. It was a shame she was fussy with her suitors.

Offering a bow of her head to the others, she settled herself amongst the mass and offered her own voice, "I'll offer myself as tribute," her words were humoured and a coy smirk pulled at her blackened maw. She had enjoyed the last festival so for another to come around so fast and for another opportunity to win to come around, it really made her competitive streak flare. She was bussing with excitement.

At first, Violet wasn't going to enter. She thought it was a waste of time and.. Whatever sort of ritual that was going to partake ; despite her mothers insistence, there wasn't much of a fondness toward The Five, and especially any of the more gorey twists to it. She detested anything related to blood or so, not that she was afraid of it to say, but the young child thought it was disgusting. The smell alone was gross when it came to prey, and she preferred to bid her time awaiting for the caches to be fresh, and only pluck the best one, obviously.

Then Dimitri stepped forward. A glare at him, the favorite child, Violet was now dubbing. She may dislike Alder, but oh — how she detested him even more! The mama's boy, always within their dotting eyes as she gets scolded, for speaking nothing but the truth! Was she going to cry about it? ..No! Maybe by herself! But she will sure kick his ass.

With a haughty attitude, Violet huffed, "I'll enter."

Mama called, and having no other choice, he came.

He didn't really like crowds. He especially didn't like crowds when he was arriving towards the end, because he felt like everyone was watching him. Alder stuck out like a sore thumb everywhere he went, bright red and big-boned already at only four months, and he hated feeling their eyes.

Slithering in with his head ducked low, he noticed Dimitri and Violet were already there; he hesitated for a moment, then moved to sit next to his brother. He was the safe option - the silver child was so enraptured with the proceedings anyway that Alder would be surprised if he even noticed his presence.

Alder tentatively raised his voice. “I'll, uh, play.”

Helping with the offering didn't entirely appeal to Narcissa though she idea of a game seemed to tug at her. The little lady wasn't entirely fussed on winning or not but it seemed the majority of her siblings seemed eager. She couldn't leave them to do it alone, could she? Violet was... chaotic enough and the boys, well... it was likely Narcissa's observant eye was needed. If anything, she would hopefully be able to keep Violet somewhat in check.

Delicately the gold-touched girl stepped forward, expression soft with a smile. "Let's have some fun," the little lady cooed, a wag in her tail.

The foggy sunset was a perfect ambiance for the New Elysium™. Deep warm rays of orange and crimson seeped through the mountain peeks, gazing down with heated eyes and peering through the fog at the gathering of the mortal party below. And Sreda wandered in, slowly, her eyes taking in the glory of the decorating that she'd happily partook in.

There was a soft sort of pride in her chest as she glanced between each individual macabre item. Skulls and antlers, pelts and blood. Oh, and a few splashes of flowers here and there ... to appease Mama.

As she entered the group, she saw many already gathered there. Mama was atop her rock, and her siblings and other packmates piled around. Sreda did not notice Mother, but her scent lingered close ... probably spying on them until the last minute when she'd make her grand entrance. Mother was dramatic like that. But Sreda ... Sreda was simple. The ebon-coated lady marched in, ears flicked forward as she wandered past her siblings to sit rather pointedly next to Urzula, her tail wagging once as she silently beheld the dark witch. Zula adjusted some horns, and Sreda silently wondered if she should be making any adjustments ...

... but everything looked perfect.

"I want to play, Mama." 'So, I'll have to prove my power.'

She was one to decorate places with petals, vines, and glittering stones. So when the decorations began to show up, the bones of things long dead amd symbols in blood red, it was only reasonable to think her touches would be applied. Something about this season seemed to sing in her veins, a gentle hum of activity as so many seemed to gather to the call of the mother of her destined friend. The whispers of the bone creatures chatter in her mind as she makes her way through the crowd, finding the boy that had found her by the lake. A gentle smile came as she moved to brush her fur against hit, silver against white.

It would seem a game would be played one of hide-and-seek, where one is to seek out those trying not to be found. She tilted her head at this as many spoke up and offered to play, how curious.

Slowly she nodded, chiming in her own entry to the game. “I would like to join” her vioce gentle and sweet, as if she said this as an after thought. Her tail lifted and swayed before she looked to Dimitri then back to the silver woman.

A shortened howl had her ears perked upwards, the call of Valeska… the one who had been kind enough to offer her a place amongst the others under her ranking. At their first meeting, she had not realized that she had been the one to establish this pack herself. Delighted to embark on the teachings of another, the goddess had not revealed her true identity. There was no reason in this world, it was run by the beasts, and when she drew her last breath maybe then she would find peace nestled on Mount Olympus. Until then, she would live her life with her memories of her life before. Drifting along the winds… away from the dwellings of trivial matters. She had no reason to return when the others had dissipated into the sky… like the morning dew of the grass. Amphitrite had retired in a den among the others, in the heart of the busier portions of the community. She had found comfort in knowing that there was always someone moving within the confinements of the world. Perhaps it was her insecurities that made her weary of provoking the others. Would they leave her too…?

Paws would track along the mountain flooring, moving until she had found herself in the depths of the deeper portion of the pack. A festival was upon them, her eyes scattering around to the display of skulls and flowers. It reminded her vaguely of Persephone and Hades… their personalities intermingling with death and the promise of new life. A small smile would perch against her lips at the thought, slowly fading as words would fall along their leader’s lips. Drawing the attention of the others as well, several voices occupied the air. All yipping with glee to participate in the event. Perplexed about the situation, she had to act quickly if she wished to join the others. Maybe… it would be fun and maybe she could even know the others more than just a face amongst the crowd of many.

Her voice would break the silence as it fell, “I too would like to participate.” She called, audible amongst her peers as well as reaching Valeska with ease. An easy smile wavering against her maw, as she looked to the others in the crowd. She was a goddess, after all, there was no reason to be scared of such matters of the mortal realm.

^^Harper stepped out of her den on this fine evening with a deep inhale as she came to settle upon all of the decorations that had been carefully put in place. It was the first day of fall, and also, a month since her children were born, and a few days since Mordecai had so politely requested to be her husband.

Husband. The word felt weird in her mouth. It had felt weird in her mouth when she was with Crux, too, though; Harper hadn’t had enough as a wife to get used to it before the end had come, and she was labeled as a widow.

And truthfully, she hadn’t put much thought into finding anyone else. That took time and effort into getting to know someone all over again. But she already knew Mordecai, and he already knew her. And they already loved each other. He was this hidden gem that had been underneath her nose this entire time. And finally, she would be his… and he would be hers.

But they still needed to iron out the details; Harper still had questions.

Arwoooooo ~

Ah. Yes.

She looked to the evening sky as her sister’s call pierced through the evening, and Harper turned to re-enter her den, nuzzling into her children. “It is time to greet the day, my loves,” the mother would call, licking their cute, perfect little faces.

“Your Auntie Valeska is holding a celebration for you & we mustn't be late,” Harper would gently nudge them to stand, if she could.

“And it’s about time we said hello to the rest of the pack, hm?”

And then she would give them one last, really slobbery lick to the face, before standing and slowly walking out of the den, in an attempt to lure them out, and towards the festivals.

“We would like to enter, as well.” Not that Harper could really be promoted any further, but it would be a nice, cute event to have with her children and soon to be, second husband.

Rigby had been having a strange dream; of running in place while his family popped up in random places. Nonsensical. A deep kind of sleep and dream; hence why when his mother woke them that he jolted awake with a start, a little confused and bewilder. He listened with keen interest as his mother explained. A celebration? Curious and excited, he would bound out, not needing to be ushered much by his mom.

He was surprised at the sight. When did they do all of this and how?! Looking around and trying to process it was difficult. Then Auntie spoke but it just made Rigby frown sharply. More questions. Like a mountains worth he would have to ask of her later. His biggest one at the moment was the horned creature that kinda in a weird way reminded him of his big brother Hawking. He didn't like the feeling he felt from watching it.

Rigby would be snapped out of his trance as his mother like the others said yes to the game. Quickly to not be weird he made sure to squeak out his participation (despite his mother having already volunteered the youths alongside her). "Me too, make MAmachka proud!" He said, not exactly sure what he was getting involved with. Hide and seek but what were the details. Surely it couldn't be that simple?

Eyes falling back upon the goat, he would gently tug on his mother with his teeth to get her attention. "MAmachka, Chto-iyss that?" He asked her about the goat, switching from Russian to English in the process, a habit he was starting to develop..

[i]Her life felt much like the flowers that littered one side of the walls. Slowly blooming with time. Her fur became more prominent. The beauty of it thickening under the nurture of her mother’s sweet milk. And, amazing parenting.

Fiora yawned at the feel of Harper’s slobbery kiss. A whine pressing from her pink lips in protest. ”Мать. Ты испортишь мне пальто.” Already the signs of her personality progressing more showing through. Oddly, she did not like speaking English. Since learning their native tongue. It felt better to talk in the language.

”Праздник?” She didn’t have to wait long. Their mother, right along with Rigby, ventured towards what she came to see was an array of items placed in different locations. Many were gathered. All different colors. Shapes. Sizes. Someone mentioned a game of hide and seek. With rewards?

Immediately, her tail wagged. Petal’s steps paced right beside Harper’s with a small smile. ”Я хочу играть!”

{OOC: As crisp air settles in over the retreating greenery, a late afternoon gathering is organized where one wolf is elected to be Aether and must find their packmates, who are to try and remain hidden until the sun sets below the horizon. The last wolves undiscovered are victorious and may be given special missions to seek strangers in other lands, as well as any gifts bestowed that day and a potential rise in rank. If Aether is victorious, the same rewards are given.

Time to roll some dice! Each participant is to roll a D20 either on the Discord bot (or through this if you aren't on our Discord) and post their result in the form of a post describing their success/failure/so-so attempt at hiding.

Example: for rolling a 7, you would post the numerical value at the head of your post in OOC brackets, then write a paragraph or two to describe your character hiding reasonably well - but perhaps be stifling a cough, a bit of an ear is sticking out, or some leaves were somewhat obviously disturbed nearby. That way when Aether hunts for them, they can post and react accordingly.}

For sneaking, D1-5 is a failure; D6-14 is fair; D15-20 is excellent and worthy of reward.

Everyone who wished to participate had arrived. Valeska, ever holding a love for games, was positively thrilled to host as per usual - but this time with a twist. She grinned mischievously to herself, a foreign sort of expression from someone normally so genuine and pure. There were more wolves within Elysium than she had ever imagined, and although the typical rules of Aether's Cunning would still be able to apply... with the sheer number of probable victors in the running, she had to be crafty this time.

There was a fail-safe plan in the event the winner's podium grew too great. Not only that, but just one wolf would be chosen to assist in Urszula's sacrificial rite.

She chuckled inwardly. Yes. She liked games.

“Wolves of Elysium!” she announced, realizing she was awfully short to be doing this from ground-level. Gods damn it. She craned her neck, trying to make sure all could see and hear her. “We begin the hunt! You will be given twenty minutes to disperse among Fate's Respite and conceal yourselves to the best of your ability. I will be Aether, the chill wind that rakes through the trees to seek you out!”

Valeska eyed the crowd before her, and found herself particularly surprised by the participation of Harper's young pups - but she would never turn away a challenger, no matter how small or innocent. She was competitive to a fault, and she would crush any child into the earth's crust for the sake of victory.

Metaphorically speaking.

“The goal is to remain hidden until the sun has set.”

She turned around, facing away from the group, and laid down to cover her face with her paws.

Begin! Valeska cried out - slightly muffled.

And they were off!

Tallulah had listened to Ms. Valeska intently, waiting for the moment that they were given instructions and dismissed. A game was to be had, and she would participate. Obviously, because she had asked to. She jumped to her paws, glancing at the others with a friendly good luck! sort of look before she raced off.

She'd pick the best hiding spot possible. While she just joined and didn't need a higher rank, Tallulah was also representing her skills. She fast-walked to the southern part of Fate's Respite, ducking into the tree line and trying to find somewhere acceptable. The woman went into the pines, slipping into the deepest and most overgrown parts.

She used her natural camouflage to hide, trying to remain as still as possible. She could feel the autumn's coolness in the air, and her breathing became a mist in front of her. Perhaps... that would be enough to give her away, even if her breath was silent.

Oooooo... how spoopy. The Aether that blew through to find them. He'd try to be the best hider! Or maybe second best. He wanted his kiddos to do well! As well as Harper! He would trundle over to his family and give Harper a lil boop with his nose, breathing in her scent briefly before trying to boop his children on the head as well. "Good luck!" He whispered to them and then, he was off. Walking away and trying to hide himself by picking a surprisingly good spot in the middle of some fallen leaves. He lay with his body completely still, watching out for others in case he could call out some pointers or other good hiding spots.

Harper couldn’t help but to chuckle at the two of her children who had actually listened to her, coming down to lick each of their heads as Valeska announced that they were to begin, and the pack scattered like a bunch of cockroaches.

She would have to speak to her sister about playing the role of Aether from this season onward; there weren’t a bunch of places to hide a large wolf like Harper. Mordecai came over to boop her nose, wishing her and the children luck, and Harper took a moment to watch his booty as he trotted off.

That was hers.

And though she hadn’t officially accepted the offer, (was it really an “offer” though?), it felt good to have the additional support, and her heart had always done little leaps of joy every time he came around her.

Heading off, Harper would attempt to hide herself in a collection of Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea Bushes that had begun showing the very faintest pink in its normal greenish-white blooms.

poor girl sucks compared to ya'll, rolled an 11!

“The goal is to remain hidden until the sun has set.”

'Easy,'  Sreda thought, slinking off like the macabre shadow she was, dispersing into the fog that had settled around the Respite. The sun yawned, almost fully disappeared behind the fangs of the mountains behind them ... and Sreda hatched an idea. She remembered, yes, the time she'd surprised Alder and the rest of the children by dressing as a swamp monster. Perhaps, she could use a similar strategy to elude the adults today.

And if she didn't, she'd perhaps jump out.
Sacre them out of their skin.

Win due to Death by Fright!

Sreda almost grinned as she made her way toward the edge of the lake, stepping her paws into the water before disrupting the muddy edge of the bank with a nice little hole. And then she threw herself into the mud, and perhaps it would be the noise that gave her away ... for she was not a subtle monster. And after a few moments of barrel rolling in the mud, she felt herself sufficiently covered, dripping with earth and grime.

Utterly horrifying.
Stinking to high heaven of fish and mud.

And then she drifted into the mist, placing herself easily between two bushes.

The effort had ended at the mud, really. 'Find me if you must,' came the internal monologue, her amythist eyes glittering with devilish intent. It was almost as if she wanted to be found.

5. Lemme cry in peace thanks.

Now, Zula thought she was hot shit. This hide and seek stuff would be a piece of piss. She spread her scent every which way before finding the grubbiest, smelliest scat in the land. It wasn't pleasant to smell like it, but aftershave was aftershave and it would hide her scent after all. Zula had thought long and hard about this, and the trees were her best option. Up there she could even take a nap. It would be simply really...

She climbed, scrambled and fell into place upon a mid reaching branch. It wasn't too high off the ground that it would hurt to get down but it was enough to be within the canopy. Her dark underside would hide her in the shadows of the branches. However, when rolling such a low number... There's always something that's going to go wrong. What she hadn't accounted for was how much weight the branch could cold, or that a storm previously had weakened the limb.

It wouldn't be long before it snapped beneath her and it was in the cards that perhaps it might be when her seeker was right under her nose.

A rookie mistake really, and one that would be unceremoniously embarrassing.

Rolled 15 on discord!

Before Harper could answer Rigby's questions, Auntie Valeska spoke about the proceedings of the game. He listened and nodded his head with more gusto than needed, causing his large head on said small body to wobble adorably. His attention span was sporadic, but even he was still focused and intent on his previous question, turning to ask his mother about the creature again. Alas, she was quite the competitive creature and was already moving out to hide. He found himself huffing, a slight pout upon him.

He was one to usually move on quickly; it was the curiosity that hindered. With a quick and surprisingly clever mind for the youth, he hopped/waddled his way to his object of interest to kill two birds with one stone. To hide and to observe. He had some extra time since the goat wasn't that out of the way. He went over to the beast's face and touched it with both of his front paws, causing his whole upper body to push into the goat's face. He sniffed and licked the creature. It was a very familiar taste and smell, a bit milky but sharp. He didn't exactly understand why it wasn't waking, though he smelled something quite odd and foreign that lingered slightly from its expelled breath that made his nose twitch.

Suddenly its hazed and drugged-out eyes opened, pupils blown as its tongue stuck out and licked the pup, causing him to giggle. But as soon as it showed sentience it was gone. Rigby was too young to understand the nervous system and reflexes, that the animal was still dormant in its sleep. Thus he saw it as a friendly sign. The strong intense emotions of children; happiness overwhelmed Rigby as he nuzzled the goat's head and mumbled thank yous. He had no name now, but mentally Rigby would call him Miawking (inspired from Hawking's name). Realizing time must be close (cause he's a smart doggo), he then crawled into a crevice underneath the giant goat, right underneath its shoulder blade. In hindsight this was a stupid idea, the goat could roll over/try to get up and fall over and crush the poor puppy beneath. But Miawking was his new friend and liked him! Otherwise he wouldn't have licked him. Thus he trusted the animal to be safe AND to hide him from his Aunt.

Knowing he was probably going to be here for a while, Rigby closed his eyes, his consciousness being threaten form the lull of sleep due to the rhythmic breathing and warmth of the goat.

It would seem that the game was to play something that would require her to fine a rather clever hiding spot in order to fool the one that would be seeking her out. When the signal was given, every canine that claimed they wished to play scattered. She stood still for a moment, not moving an inch as the numbers rattled off in a countdown, her head tilted and she felt as if there was a tug on her very being.

With a rather barely there smile she began to follow the pull, it seemed like the breeze was pushing her along as she came to a puddle the looked like a mixture of dirt and leaves that had gotten wet by a possibly quick rainfall. With quick steps she put herself into the dirty mess and flopped to her belly before rolling around a few times, coating her pale fur with dark brown and foliage. Camouflage engaged and now for a place to hid, where to hide?

Lavender eyes moved around, trying to spot something that could be her spot to hide for as long as this game took. She wiped her paws on a nearby tree to get rid of the mud there so she would not leave tracks and might possibly confused her seeker, she then wiped them on the grass before heading in the opposite direction. She found rather thick bush, berries seemed to sprout in it. It held black berries that were smaller than the berry of that name and it seemed that they did not hold the wicked thorns those vines held. She tasted one very tentativly. The sweetness burst on her tongue and she resisted eating more, instead she crawled under the foliage finding that someone had done this before but possibly a fox rather than a wolf.

Lyubov curled into a ball, as small as she could and closed her eyes. Trying to be as still as possible, taking soft shallow breaths to not alert her seeker if her location.

rolled a five!

Violet, did not think too long and hard. She thought everyone else were far more.. Less intelligent then she was, and assumed anywhere would be fine. However it was most important that she remained clean and dignified, watching as some would go into rather dirty places ; but not her, no sir. Instead she found a pleasant spot in a rather open burrow.. And simply sat inside it.

She didn't make really any effort to conceal the entrance.

Rolled a 3

The rules were quite simple, Amphitrite had noticed that this was just a different version of hide and seek. More so just a different way of calling it, it seemed Valeska was the one to seek the others. Giving them more than enough time to come up with creative ways to conceal their forms from her gaze. The children had boasted with giggles as she watched their paws take flight when the counting began. All more eager for the game, the adults seemed more calculating. They seemed to have a better advantage than Amphitrite, the loner who had shown up days before the festival, still… she would try her hardest to be able to stay in the game until the setting sun. She had come to the realization that they seemed more equipped in wishing the best for their members. Ethically speaking, maybe it was because they were always high, Amphitrite had yet to partake in the goodies that were passed around. She would have to take part in their traditions soon enough, maybe introduce them to a different concoction. She had remembered Valeska to be interested in how it was made… The goddess had spent enough time idly dilly-dallying.

Paws would make haste as she tried her best to pick a hiding place, smiling while doing so. Turning this way and that, she noticed most of the good hiding spots were taken. Using the atmosphere of fall, the way the leaves blended within her fur color of purplish-reds. She noticed a large pile of leaves that had gathered under an oak tree, the colors vibrant but slowly turning a hue of brown from the lack of nutrients. Contemplating if this would be a good idea, she noticed that she had no time to decide anymore. Quickly she would drive herself into the leaf pile, using camouflage to her advantage. Alas… She was too tall and the leaves would not cover her entirely. Crouching down lower, she had a feeling she would be first picked when Valeska turned to look for them. She might as well have hidden behind a tree instead of this idea.

All in good fun, right?

^^

rolled a 20

Narcissa had trotted off easily, glancing to her siblings before the girl would slip away through the bushes. It would do well to attach other scents to herself, wouldn't it? To throw someone off the scent? Cissa rubbed herself against berries and brambles, careful not to draw blood from thorns as she shimmeyed through.

The little maiden would eye the mountain sides, golden gaze brightening as she quickened her pace. She was a little thing, slim and small, it made for crevices and crannies. Narcissa smiled merrily to herself as she slipped along the base of stone, eyeing the bushes and tree trunks for gaps in the stone. She would fit into cracks that broke and created little craters, surely! Narcissa peeked over her shoulder to ensure no one was near her before she slipped through some bushes and long grass, making way to the sliver of a crack she could see through the branches.

Inspecting it, Narcissa tried to gauge if she might fit. Wriggling her slender frame, the girl would nestle herself neatly into the confined space and shadows. It wasn't huge though she had a little room to lounge, it was enough to conceal a little lady such as she. ^^
