Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

Vermillion was treading through the territory ; as time passed and she knew it better.. She was more familiar with it. In general she noticed it was relatively flat and voided of trees, with many stones ducking into the heavens like a claw itself. She had placed a paw on it, feeling the cool stone before her pads and the light smoothness some had, others rugged. Not all though were up piercing the skies, some even fell downwards ; like a thrown for a Queen to lay on. Sometimes she would imagine her mother there.

Though she was not there, and no one else claimed a throne.. Vermillion jumped to one of these fallen stones, a ruby-eye gazing upwards to the cloudless sky.

ooc; sorry not sorry

"Usurping Lady Kore?"

Despite the seriousness in his tune most times, he arched a brow at @Vermillion with a bit of lightness in his eyes. Her 'throne' was nothing more than a rock but that didn't stop the words slipping from Bran's mouth. He was somewhat amused, a flick of his tail if the girl looked his way to show he was trying - badly - to joke.

"Who knew a maiden could have such aspirations so young?"

He was unaware of her lineage too, despite meeting one of Vermillion's kin in the coming days. If he looked back, he would think all the brown wolves were connected in some way. This world trapped them, it did not let any slip out. It stood to reason they were all connected. Some formally, some badly.

Bran stood a bit away from the girl, in the grass. He didn't go near her unless she wanted to, despite them being packmates.
