Amongst the flowers and grass, the maiden lay, strewn with a gaze that flittered from petal to petal that fell from the trees above. She lay beneath the canopy, quiet and in dismay. Ever since the death of Seaver, the maiden had been... reliving some grief and mourning the boy who had been too young to die in the first place. Still was her belly unsettled, unhappy but she had done as her Queen heeded and had not continued to drink from the poisoned waters.
Teodora could not help but wonder when the heart break might stop and happiness might conquer, instead.
She oft took these moments to herself outside the claim of Elkshire, seeking some solitude (or perhaps it was self-destruction, as she had done when Serpens had left her) to build herself up to hold a strong, inviting face for the other children and her Queen, if she needed it. With a soft sigh Teodora would reach one rounded paw to catch the leaf as it fell. ^^
