Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

It couldn't be denied her heart soared with a pride and felt warm to the touch, a bit of giddiness to her steps until she eased to a pleasant stride, making her way to the lands of the mountains. She hadn't traveled that far, but with direction and them not being extremely away, it surely would be an easy find, although finding the latter of whom she needed to inform, was a trickier case altogether. Vacant from their lands and the hope that just maybe, her message could be given to one, and delivered to the other.

Off was Aries from the land of snow, and to the mountains where Vanderfell, and unknowingly, Shiroshika. Tasked with a messenger of what would so, the message of the Northern Alliance ; and the trials that would so come fruit. There was perhaps a bit of dread within her soul, thinking of all that it was and the complications that came through. A murder of so, that was not unknown to wolves in general and yet all around it was a complication. In truth, the hare couldn't say she favored strongly to either side, emphasizing with one greatly, and feeling the unknown of the other. But it seemed this was the way, to devoid the whole tundra in a long war.

Part of her was curious to meet both of Northfall & Dragonford, having met neither so far, but for the meanwhile that was not her task. She was steadfast in making her way to the slopes of another, and took a moment of breath by the frozen falls.

Sipping from the cold waters, thirsting the parchness of not even a day of travel — but perhaps she should save her strength, and rest here for the meanwhile. Mountains were no easy feat to travel, and this place Aries ventured too was awfully tempting. Mini in forest, and blessed in waterfalls ; it almost seemed a too good of a place to rest by.
