Celnes wasn't a complete negligent mother — she had some sort of conscious. Although, much of that was covered by the shame they represented. They were not conceived by her own desires, but a night she barely remembers and the withdrawal of self control to lust itself. She never — at least she thought she didn't, on giving herself away. Were neither. They were not connected to any father that she knew unlike her first brood, and they all except one, held colors that were unsuited to the Deorwine name.
But they were her flesh and blood. She would shift her nights sleeping with them every so often, sometimes resorting to the forest itself then the royal den, and other times venturing into their bundle. Today was one of those days. The Queen sat outside of the royal den, her head upon her paws as the sun shone throw onto her glossy pelt. The children played outside, and some of her eldest observed.
