Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

It was such a disappointment.  There where moments on which once could define their lives, and make a drastic change.  Uriel, the golden coward chose to reject that moment, and gave in to her most base instinct.  Watching the woman turn tail and flee, made the cat grimace in disgust.  Never having any serious intent to harm the woman, he only took a single step forward, opting to not give chase.

Having such high hopes for the woman who so selflessly helped with the rescue of Olive made the moment sting even more.  "That's no way to live your life!", roared the tiger, his voice ripping through the air. Someone observant could hear the crack in his roar: sadness.

If he was being honest with himself, he hoped that they would get along, the golden woman seemed like a good person, maybe he even felt a bit of a connection to the woman after working together in the hunt.  Hissing, Kuhn turned his shoulder, quickly pivoted back around to his kill.  Looking it over for a moment, the big cat abruptly slammed his paw down into the ribs of the creature yielding a fleshy snap.  He immediately knew that he had been to harsh with the woman.  Now staring at the broken meal in disappointment, he wished he could be more gentle.
