Teeth sunk deep. Finding their way into the meaty structure of his brother’s neck. He’d waited years for this. To feel the life of Vidär be taken by him alone, a rush of lust surged through the map of blooded veins. Pumping furiously in an act of increasing already hidden adrenaline.
He didn’t stop. Oh no. Baal-Berith shook his head. A paw coming to hold down the slowly dying chest that heaved. Trying to pull in oxygen and remain alert to the inevitable. This was going to happen. It needed to.
For years, Baal thought of this day. Memories coming to the forefront causing him to tug on the chunk of meat within his jaws. Yes. Yes. Blood gushed like a berry from the source. Filling his mouth entirely to the point he swallowed. A grunt following shortly after until the feel of a heartbeat was no longer....
Fuck.
This had been the fifth time Baal awoke from a dream starved and angry since arriving to this place. It pissed him off to no hell. No step closer to finding the treacherous bastard who murdered their father.
Gaze focusing back to the reality of the situation. No longer hidden by darkness of closed eyes, he stretched his body. Spine dipping from the bow he’d come to take before rising the rest of him to a stand. Annoyance clear as day by the expression of his face.
Brows pulled inward. Scrunching his forehead and a snarl tugged harshly at wrinkled lips. Their display of yellowing canines for all to see. He was a pissed off male and quite hungry.
His dream having left him in taste for a small pup or even a coyote for the time being. Baal wanted to keep his appetite for canine fresh and needing. Like a rabid dog, the giant male steamed in his own pot of rage. Descending silently from the dark cave ’mongst the mountains and peering over all that lay below.
Despite everything, he craved to hunt. To seek a weak or even lesser wolf to feast on. Perhaps even play around with the doubts of their mind until they begged him to take what little life they held on to. The thought alone pushed him to descend the high peaks. Taking time to walk the slopes and avoid the slippery areas.
With the sun beating down on his back. Nipping at skin hidden just beneath a thick coat, he found himself panting against it.
Peering just off into the distance from left to right. Did he go north or south? Nose tilting to the sky. Smelling anything that gave him an answer to his question. H’m... North it was then.
