Her pale fur might go ablaze, the sun's evil eye glaring down upon her broken frame. Half buried in sand, every fiber and grain invading her pelt as she lay there, motionless. Despite the disgusting heat, or perhaps because of it, the female lay there. One might even think her dead, though her mind was slowly starting to stir.
The wind swept carefully over the sands, whisking up dirt devils and drowning anything that remained too long. She too was on that verge of drowning, the sand slowly starting to build up to her nose. The pain of her head would likely wake her up soon, though she struggled harshly to keep herself asleep. Thinking maybe that rest would quell the headache.
The woman was unfortunately wrong, and though she did not yet know, her pain was likely to grow worse. Not only by the beast that unknowingly approached but, by the lack of any memory or recollection in her brain. Only remembering who she was, the kind of person she was. Was she, or the white creature that neared her, made more unfortunate by their meeting?
