Can you feel the love tonight?

Quinn had been feeling off the past several days, and she knew why - instinct told her. She knew her smell would travel far, possibly attract males that wanted her attention, but she had eyes for only one male: Moosebellow. While some females didn't mind mating with multiple males - great for the genepool - Quinn wanted him and him alone. 

But where in the blazes was he?! She had stalked the forest with no luck, and now entered the lower halls of their stonewalled home. Once within the walls of the castle, she let loose her call for him. Normally, she would have been quiet so as not to disturb others, but her natural instincts would not allow her to do so now. Every few seconds, a call was put forth, deep and strong, as she beckoned her mate to her. Though, it probably would have been easier to just sit in one spot and allow him to find her, Quinn's brain wasn't running on logic at the moment. She would stalk the castle halls until she found him! She entered into the room they shared, another meow going out.

A sudden call broke Edgewise out of an otherwise peaceful nap. What in the hell kind of strange banshee was that!? he wondered, rolling out of his drowsy haze, his ears all a-perked. After a moment, the realization dawned on him, and he grinned widely. “Oho, it’s horny time!” he laughed to himself, and he hopped and leapt up higher onto the wall to get a view of the surrounding castle.
 
Why the heck was she hollering out so much? Surely she wasn’t putting the call out for just anybody… ”Oh, Moosebellow you big dolt, you ran off while your lady was starting to get in gear!” he cried out with another laugh, and then he began running through the castle as the terribly loud cat-calls echoed. He joined them with his own amused hollering.
 
”Oh Moosebellow! Moosey! You are being summoned, big boy!”
 
If he helped to find the big vulgar lug, maybe the caterwauling wouldn’t go on too much longer! Edgewise didn’t find the mating practices of his species unusual or awkward; this was par for the course when it came to females in heat. He wouldn’t pass up the chance to have a little laugh, given the noisy circumstances!

 Oh, he certainly picked the worst time to go on an impromptu hunting trip. His heart was in the right place though as he only wanted to snag a rabbit for him and his lady. However, the rabbits seemed to have wised up to the cats' games and would not be found and he was far too slow to catch one. So, he'd settled for a couple of mice. He was heading back towards the keep, through the broken doors when he heard that beautiful call that had his loins aching.

 He ran forward, zipping through the halls as heard the mocking calls of Edgewise. He rolled his eyes, made a detour to find the pointed cat, whereupon he practically threw the mice at him. "Two mice to shut the fuck up!" He yelled as he passed by, on his way to find Quinn. They weren't going to be needing those anytime soon. It sounded like she was in their chambers.

 He zoomed to the room, slowed, and then strolled in as if he hadn't been running at a breakneck pace to find her. He was playing it off as smoothly as he could. "Why hello... I think you need something from me?" He winked as he stepped closer and strolled right over to her, running his body along hers if he was allowed.

Her ears flicked as she heard Edgewise in the distance, but really paid him no attention. Another meow rang through the cold hallways, as if in answer that Edgewise was correct. She didn't feel embarrassed by her needs - they were completely natural, after all, and she assumed expected by most who understood. 

Suddenly he was there, but she didn't appreciate his calmness. Why had he not come quicker. In response to his attempt at affection, a foreleg quickly drew up, her intent to smack him in the shoulder to show her displeasure, a growl accompanying it. Just a fraction of a second later, however, a purr emerged and she ran her body against his. Her tail was high as she gave a love-nip to his neck and her loud meows turned into little chirps.

 "Ooooww..." He purred at the shoulder swipe as if it had actually hurt. She pressed into him and he into her as he came around to her other side while still pressed against her, he let their fur mesh together. He had no competition here, he could take as long as he wanted.

  His tongue would rasp across the back of her neck in a steady rhythm. No other words were needed as he knew what she wanted.

 He would gently maneuver himself behind her, his licks turning into a grab at her scruff with his jaws. Gently but firm enough to coax her towards the ground... One paw would wrap around her chest, in an embrace and then he would begin.

She purred loudly and chirped softly repeatedly, though the volume level was meant just for Moosebellow, and maybe wouldn't bother the rest of the clan. She groomed him back, her tongue rasping over his cheek, neck and chest. But, it was hard to stay still, and she shifted back and forth until he grabbed her scruff. The rest would be a blur of instinct taking over.
