Miriam made herself scarce in the mountain region upon being chased of. While she had met some nicer wolves, her fear over those of the stronger kind would never seem to fade. She had no desire to get in the way of the others territory, and didn't know the full length of their claim. When she dispersed from the area, it was only faintly, but she could still scent their attempt to claim so. Packs were especially aggressive upon newer claims, and she definitely was not one too it. There was the back of her mind the pack was the one Bronco was in.. But at the same time, her experience with his pack were friendlier terms, and not aggression. She wasn't associating the two were the same.

Finally though did she find herself wandering to closer forests, more familiar territory. Except, then she got lost. The fog was so thick, Miriam was unaware of where to turn."Oh no."

Once comfortable enough to start spreading out and investigating these new lands, Rosencrantz parted ways with @Guildenstern temporarily in order to divide and conquer for the time being. The misty woods was something completely new, never had he seen something like this before. The mist lingered longer than any other he had ever seen as if it was a permanent feature to these trees.

The paladin was slow to move through the woods, carefully combing the area of signs of claim or life. Every now and then a strange call rang out into the forest, breaking through its eerie silence. Though he knew what the call came from, it was sinister given where they were and the lack of senses snuffed out by the mist.

A figure emerged ahead of him through the mist. At first, he thought it was his brother who they circled around each other unknowingly - but as he approached... the figure was clearly not that of Guildenstern, but of a smaller, darker pelt than his. The archangel's pace slowed as he kept his eyes on the figure... uncertain if this was still the afterlife and she, the ghoul who was taking their souls away.

There was a man in the woods, and it was not the silver wolf she met weeks prior, nor' the blackthorn boy she grown to enjoy. She was a bit timid from the wolf who shown aggression to her being within the territory, and so Miriam shrunk low, her tail tucked in but a timid matter in the hope to display the least dominant stance she could grasp.

"I'm sorry," her starlit eyes darted to ground and shadow, like a lost child, "I got lost, I'll leave." She wanted to ask if it was his territory, as the one before was so vaguely marked Miriam missed the scent. She did not desire to make the same mistake once more, especially if the native wolves were shown to be far more aggressive then the one's she once knew.

However, there was a large problem. She really didn't know how to leave.

Cautiously he approached still, unwilling to come off afraid or uncertain but instead... calculating his moves should the thing be hostile after all; however... should it be a ghoul, did he have any chance against the undead? The hollow socket and remaining honey eye glared ahead, a hardened stare challenging whatever, whoever they may be and silently ensuring he would not go down easily this time around - this time around? The thought lingered in the back of his head... he could have sworn he had felt the cold grip of death before.

Then the figure shrank, like a frightened child and he paused his approach. The mist slowly cleared just enough for him to make out what it was... and his nose eventually grasping the scent to confirm what he was seeing. A woman, frightened to death of this place, of him in particular as she avoided his glare. Though his stance and stare did not soften, he stood watching her for a moment... unsure of what to do.

“Where are you going?” He asked as if he knew anything of this place to help a lost woman - but perhaps that little olive branch was enough to ease her nerves, and in return, ease his own guard against her.

A tundrian man approached, a bleach of white in the midst of the dogs, but a starch contrast to the darken trees. Though like the warriors of home, is face bled of skin, taken away from a mortal enemy long ago. She was not frighten of his features, but his presence to the place. Unlike the black wolf of the mountain who threatened her death, he only asked her a question. Miriam had trouble looking into his eyes and avoided at all, though tail still tuckered, she rose just slightly to meekly answer, "I'm a nomadic wolf.. Just, lost."

There was no particular place to go, but never to remain very long in one. Her lust to explore was high, but she shuddered at this bleak forest.

A grunt was his first response to her answer. How could a nomadic wolf be lost? The thought of it almost gave him a headache... it sounded almost like an impossible riddle. She avoided his gaze, which only hardened it further. He could only imagine his visage was too gruesome, too grotesque for her to stomach to even look at him in the face while they spoke; and so, his irritation shifted. Away from the initial distrust at this figure in the mist and onto insult.

“You're free to follow my brother and I, we are currently looking for a way out ourselves.” He held his tongue to hiss that Guildenstern at least had a full face for her to talk with. Opting to cut himself off and instead turn his attention back onto the initial task of sniffing around, figuring out where they were, what this place was and of course... an eventual way out to see the world beyond the mist - if there was one of course. “Is there a world beyond the mist?” He calls over his shoulder, keeping his disfigured face away from her.

There was a sense of relief when the man did not chase her out- and rather, her head rose further on a look of surprise, "You are lost in this forest as well?" A horrid fate has seemed to settle upon them, as not only she had been drawn to this place and trapped, there was two others trying to find their way beyond the fog, "it is quite a forested area, and mountains to the north." Though the mountains are not a place for loners and rogues to enter, any wolf alone should surely draw away.

She felt lightly better now realizing he was not claiming, and in the same situation as herself. Her tail may still be tucked but she rose her head up, awkwardly staring to the floor. It was a bit embarrassing showing such a meek state- Miriam wasn't really sure how to move past the tension.

“Lost would imply we wandered into these woods.” It was cryptic, even he would admit that; and yet, how else was he to explain their certain predicament? How they weren't technically lost but more so... found themselves in this place. At least she was good for something, speaking of a forest and mountains beyond the mist. So the world expanded beyond the grim smog despite how impossible it may seem from where he stood.

With ears twisted back to listen to her, he could barely hear her feet against the soil. Twisting his good eye around to glance at her over his shoulder, still, keeping his grotesque mark away from her sight, he called out to her in somewhat of a bark. “If you dawdle, you'll lose me as well.” He threatened in a way, threatened to leave her in the mist as her first chance of escape from the mist would vanish within it if she wasn't fast enough to keep up with him.

"But did we not?" His words deemed like mystery as she confusedly looked upon him, "there are some.. Territorial wolves to the mountains, and one had chased me out." Her explanation was that she was chased away from the peaks beyond this fog, and had wandered into the dream. Thought to escape, only to be trapped by endless fog. She warily looked around, but her eyes saw nothing to no avail, and only could mutter a prayer for hope, "protect thy' wolves, God," Miriam said in a quiet whisper..

Her ears perked upon rather harsh words, but she would rather deal with an stoic wolf then be stranded within the fog. One fear overcame the other, she would do better with the help of another. Bounding up, her tail releasing from it's hiding place, the willowey woman was quick to paw after him in haste. He had wide steps for being a grizzly man, and had to do a running-walk to be by his side.

"Uhmm, i'm.. Miriam, Miriam Iris Willows,"
awkwardly so though, she introduced herself with a soft smile while trying to keep up.

“No.” The archangel stated blatantly, flatly as he continued to search the woods as his part vs Guildenstern who went off on his own. “My brother and I woke up here with no recollection of arriving.” Would be his only explanation of the situation, mostly due to the fact that he had nothing else to say about it at no fault of hers. Not thinking that maybe she too may have had a similar experience elsewhere.

Something she said did intrigue him, the mention of territorial wolves chasing her out in the mountains. It told him that there were packs forming or already formed in the mountains. Could there be individuals who could explain his and Guildenstern's situation, were they the only two woke up here randomly? Suddenly he found himself interested in knowing of these mountain wolves and talking to them. What she said next was of no interest to him about deities of sorts.

“Rosencrantz Mortensen-” A pause. “My brother is Guildenstern.” If she was going to join them out of here, she may as well know both their names.

Miriam was startled, she was curious how he simply woke up and awakened into an unknown forest, but her situation was only a bit familiar, "I had stepped into a fog, and found myself far away from anything familiar, not even the stars looked the same." Though she never fell asleep, and with memories intact and wide awake, did she go through the mist of Neverwinter, and never looked back. Far away from all, including her own daughter. The maiden wasn't sure how she could get back, to her, or even her previous homeland, the Orchid.

She could not continue looking back, Miriam was certain it was for the best. She was only a toxin to her daughter, who needed to be free.

Unknowingly so, she was growing more comfortable now they talked with ease, "Perhaps the three of us will find a way out.." A lost, merryband within the fog has been formed.

She was quick to explain something strange, if she had stepped into the mist, then it shouldn't have changed the stars - other than making them impossible to see from within these woods. “Once we leave the mist you'll see them again.” Was his attempt at soothing her nerves, perhaps her anxiety clouded her thoughts and that alone was the reason why she sounded so strange. Rosencrantz didn't know much about celestial bodies, but he was certain they didn't change very much even during the longest of foot travel that any wolf he knew could possibly take.

“Do you not remember which direction you came from?” If they backtracked from the area she came from, perhaps that would make it easier for the brothers and their little companion of finding their way out a little easier. There was no way such a nervous wreck of a woman, even if she did seem to be relaxing a little now, would have wandered into these woods very far... surely the exist must be near where he had found her.

She only smiled slightly, and didn't continue to what she had meant, feeling he would only think she was a bit out of her mind. Though Miriam knew, when she stepped into the fog that was near Neverwinter, and when she stepped out, it was a completely different land. To the point the stars in the skies were completely different constellations, and she couldn't tell where she was anymore. Even returning to the Orchid, would be nearly impossible. She could no longer follow the stars to her motherland.

"I ran straight.. I apologize, I am not much help." She couldn't even tell if they ever turned, the godly woman only ran straight and fell into the labyrinth of mist. She felt remorseful unable to truly help the situation, and only added to the trouble of being trapped so.

“Tsch.” He huffed at her answer. Useless, but then again, she did say she was completely lost - so what else did he expect from her? Certainly, she would have thought about backtracking before instead of sitting there looking utterly pathetic, waiting for someone to either snatch her up or rescue her. Luckily for her, it was the latter. Rosencrantz wasn't the vicious type, not completely without reason at least, and so she was somewhat safe with him at least.

With a sigh, he came to a decision. “We will meet with @Guildenstern and head out together.” Now with someone else in tow and knowing the mist had to end somewhere, perhaps it was best for the brothers to find one another and keep heading in one direction until the fog lifted. At least now he was confident in their ability to find a way out of here - there was a world beyond the mist, she confirmed it.

Unless the girl was just remembering a life before this one, he would hold onto hope that there was more to this place.

Lowering her head guiltily, Miriam uttered another, "I'm sorry," to the tundrian man. She felt like a burden to him, especially as she entered lost and could not provide any information to the two who already were in the situation long before she was. Now she was just another issue to tag along with as they try to maneuver out, and generally did not wish to be in the way. However, she wasn't sure how else to get out, the best she could do was follow and try to not cause anymore issues.

Feeling dishearted, Miriam nodded her head at him and kept it down.
