Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

maybe @Edith and @Calhoun ? could hear some news LOL, otherwise pretty open for anyone!

She could hear them. Who wouldn't hear the crying sounds of newborns — and thought it was the first, there was no mistaken by the scent of blood within the air, and the royal den being pre-occupied. Many assumptions came between her first — her complaints of soreness and her growing sides that were the result of but a binging and it seemed a blindness came, or even.. Was she hiding it from them?

That she had a second litter?

That they had siblings?

Was it the same father?

Much of it felt suspicious ; knowing her mother she wouldn't be hiding such intentions if it were true, but the mistaken smell and calling of these newborns were there. No one really knew until today.. The thought came as if she was just a replacement, like a speck within an almost perfect view and Celnes was trying again, to get it right.

Vermillion held her head down and didn't venture over just yet, having a trouble time facing her mother. She wished oh-so despertly it wasn't true though, that her mother wasn't that heartless enough. Even though at times there was a clear line, she still shown love and affection to them — at least, she tried so. Some wasn't so willing to accept, but for herself who was so desperate to be accepted, bathed in whatever she could get.

But the dreading feeling of not belonging continued to remain, and the desire to run away grew larger every so often, especially as many of her own siblings, even the favorites, simply disappeared without a word.. She wanted to do the same and didn't feel the courage though.
