Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported

As Rin's memory was completely gone, she didn't even know her own appearance. Just from a vague view, she was relatively average. Her fur was a mixture of various gray tones, not too many specks ; overall a common color for many. Perhaps a bit more plastered in a lighter color, there wasn't much else to speak of. At the very least they seemed smooth, her pelt groomed well without a blemish and felt that she wasn't that of a warriors build, not even a runner.. Just, an average wolf.

She saw a lake within the distance, though majority of it looked to be covered in ice. Even though she could see the wandering of fish underneath the clear view, her own appearance was hard to distinguish. She prowled through this winter land, an attempt to find a spot that had broken away from these frozen spots, just so she could take a look at what she looked like. Maybe if she did, something would appear.

When she found that spot.. Nothing came to mind.

Rin took note that she wasn't exactly beautiful, but she wasn't horribly disfigured. There wasn't much feeling to how she looked, especially on being average — that wasn't an envy or a loathing of desiring a more pretty appearance, but just a satisfactory that her body felt fresh, that it was working. Though perhaps slightly disheartening, even looking at her own reflection — nothing came to mind.

Maybe one day it would, Rin thought as she stared at her appearance. Though for the meanwhile, she would live a loner lifestyle.

One might've mistook the behemoth of a wolf for a polar bear against the desolate and flat nature of the frozen lake. The shoots of dark gray along his fur being just about the only tell. Campion, the pale one, had grown lazy sitting in the veils where he woke and after speaking with an old wolverine, he saw it fit to finally do some exploring.
This land was nothing like where he grew up. The male was never shy to snow but, this cold was blistering and unending. He was lucky to be used to long winters and even longer nights. The mountains were like a puzzle put together the wrong way. A familiar silhouette but, not recognizable as any of the mountains he grew up near.
This large lake was a curiosity, for he was most used to rivers and frozen ponds. He thought it quite nice, especially how his foot steps would echo across the sheet of ice, reminding him of brothers who walked the same.
Camp noticed her easily though, did not at first realize her to be a wolf. A small, quaint creature standing among the ice. Looking down as if to stare at the fish below. He stopped, his footfalls going silent and the echo quieting all the same. Blue eyes staring for just a moment, trying to gather any information on what the hell she was doing.
She did not appear to be fishing, nor did her small frame suggest she would be able to break the ice and face the cold water to do so. Unfortunate as, while Camp never really did favor the taste of fish, he thought it could be easy to steal a meal from such a small beast. Save him the effort of clumsily chasing after small rabbits.
Camp's footsteps grew quieter as he turned his body and made effort to investigate the wolf. The large pale wolf making long strides towards her, the sound of his enormous paws not able to completely go silent when striking the ice. Perhaps he would sneak up on her or, perhaps give her a start. He certainly did find it funny when smaller wolves ran in fear and panic when he approached.

Though as quiet as he may have been, what he didn't hide was the scent itself. He wasn't downwind where it brushed it, and once a gust of wind passed by she raised her head and sniffed lightly. Another, was within the area, and the faint sounds of stepping was within the wake as her ears flickered. Quiet enough she would've missed if not for the breezes strutting by, and Rin turned her head back without moving — to observe someone slowly skulking to her.

A large figure, and she gave a lackluster look. He was mostly white, shy of a few other colors ; someone who seemed to blend within the tundra range far more then she does. Her grays tended to stand out on occasion against the pure white snow. She imagined, that was where he got his confidence from approaching her without even attempting to cover his scent, "Do you need something?" she asked calmly.

She didn't run at the sight of him and thus he was quite amused, letting out a hearty chuckle from his deep hollow chest. His footfalls didn't slow until he got within distance to see the details of her face. His own face growing placid and stoic again as he observed her from a closer distance. The she-wolf was quite plain, though, not without her own unique charms. When her voice rang out and into the wind for him to hear, he was intrigued by an accent that came with it.
Camp ignored her question and instead asked his own. "What are you doing?" He gestured down with his nose, into the broken part of the ice sheet where she stared.

At the very least, he wasn't aggressive. Someone curious enough, and playful if she were to add, to approach her so. Rin thought that maybe he would be a child with how he attempted to sneak up on her, and yet his size contradicted it quite a lot. She had to crane her neck up to look at him — and was displeased by the furrowing of her brows, before turning back to the icy floors. Easier to talk when not breaking her neck,

"You can see your reflection in the water."

Camp silently chuckled to himself when he watched her strain to look at him, his whiteness against the whiteness of the cold sky. The man looked down into the shimmering shiny depths, observing just barely from his perspective how the water did, in fact, act as a mirror.
"I don't much care to do much gazing at my own ugly mug." A jest, to which he again gave a hearty and deep laugh, pausing just to see if she, too, would find it any funny.
The wolf would look at the woman, icy eyes relaxing into that stoic and straight-faced look again before continuing on. "Be careful now, I don't think you'd be able to get yourself out if you fell in."

"You are not ugly." She didn't look back at him, nor laugh — but from one gaze around he wasn't ugly. He wasn't described as beautiful or otherworldly by any means, Rin thought. Though she was honest in her words even if they were blunt. He was a large one though that was for sure, someone who didn't smell like a pack ; but enough where she imagined others would crave for his charm to then. A body to the masses, a face to gain women who were desperate for young.

"I can swim." But when she looked to him and saw a smile, one that changed to a stoicism, Rin curiously looked back at her own. She realized.. She hadn't smiled that much since coming ; such a foreign feeling that when she tugged the corner of her lips it seemed almost awkward. Was she always this, strange?

He gazed at her with at first disappointed, for her not getting his old-man joke but, it quickly looked to one of curiosity. Observing as she contoured her own face in a weird way, her smile looking weird in the way her eyes didn't participate.
"Are you new?" He asked, his head turning to the side, allowing his fur and ears to flop over.
"Meaning, did you just wake up?" It felt weird being the one that asked such a question as it felt as just yesterday he himself was being asked.
Camp took another moment to look her up and down, check her head especially, searching for any sign of injury. He was no healer, or had any medical knowledge but, his native born mother had many home remedies that she passed on. Though he saw none and was further both intrigued and confused by the woman's bizarre behavior.

Rin nodded at him, turning her neck toward a craning up to his own gaze. There was an audible crack as she stretched it so to grow more comfortable, for to simply talk to this man might be a bit of a pain ; not one she would turn away though, "I woke up in the forest below," she so pointed to the everfrost with her paw. At least, she thinks it was around there — she only unburied herself and didn't really know who or where she was.

But the way he said it made it seem there was more to it then that, "Is that common?" Rin questioned toward him with a greater curiosity. That wouldn't be the best to hear around this land — but maybe comfort just a bit if others were like so. It would make it seem she isn't alone in the situation, at least.

He was surprised by how dazed and wispy she acted. This was not his experience at all. Camp remembered waking up as if he startled himself awake, a strange feeling of falling. At first he tried to make sense of it all but, quickly found that he had moved from one place to the next and had no recollection of ever doing so. He had his memory unaltered, except for the one that would explain how he got here.
"I believe so, unfortunately. Happened to me too." The man explained, finally resting down on his rear. Perhaps that would ease her as it was clear she was straining to look at him. Was he really all that big? Sometimes he would forget when all alone or surrounded by small creatures. It felt like yesterday he was just a pup. The biggest pup of the litter but, still, nothing but a pup.

"Do you think there is a reason why?" She so asked, thinking if whether such magic was within this realm or the thoughts of Gods reigned to be. Rin, did not pray to them, but she also didn't deny if they so existed. Agnostic, as she was, an uncaring sense as it didn't directly affect her in anyway.. At least, she so thought ; but with the idea of wolves 'coming and going' from nowhere was a bit unnerving, even if she did not show it.

The wind breezed by, and she looked within the direction it carried. Upon the wind was the smell of ice, the tundra itself and even the smallest detection of others of the wind ; caribou, hares, foxes and wolves.. Mysterious as this region was, it was full of life.

"Not any I know of." Camp responded, a perplexed look on his face that twisted to one of realization. Though it was less of one, and more of a conclusion he came to. Something to explain the unexplainable.
"Perhaps our god or gods or whatever you believe in are trying to teach us something." His dark nose tipped to the sky where we studied the pale whiteness. It made him squint for a moment.

He wasn't too deep into religion himself, despite his strong values. Having seen so many different religions and faiths in his day, it was only reasonable that he stay eclectic in his beliefs. Who was he to say who was right and wrong about something that he couldn't prove.

"I'm not sure what I believe in anymore." She couldn't say there was a God, but also didn't doubt if there was one. If someone, something was playing with their lives like so, she wasn't sure what to think. Rin didn't like how her memories were simply voided, without even an inch of a clue to what may have happened to herself, or where she belonged. Just information, knowledge that she seemed to know, but the pieces of how were missing.

"Do you remember who you are?"
