Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

set a few days after this thread with olive.

Tiberius had been reluctant to leave @Olive after spending the days with her had after the incident but he had known that he would need to. He had told @Reiko of his need to go and save her and would need to let her know all went well, that the creatures that had come together to help him save her had been victorious. The titan didn't think she would care too much given the distaste she had held the time she had met Olive but he would do it and then return to his duties. He was restless with the desire to turn back round to go to her where she returned to Frostchant, especially now that they had declared their love for each other and had given a name to what they were.

If he had been unable to not think about her before, he found himself now continuously going back to her after each train of thought. Love. Someone loved him, was in love with him and seemed proud to be, too. It was new, refreshing, strange and exciting. He didn't feel the fear that she would change her mind, seeing a new light and thinking him as a monster. He felt the appreciation she held for him, something he had not felt within Shiroshika for some time and in reality, he had done more for the Pack than he had her -- though saving her from Boomba and earning her love would be his greatest victory of all time.

Likely his most cherished memory, too.

The titan made note to seek @Kuhn out some time soon, to see that his wounds had been tended to and to express his gratitude for his friend coming to his aid. The feline had been his first friend and now he had a first love, too? The wind had changed and Tiberius was experiencing all these firsts and he found that he... he liked it. Some part of him thought he would be... fine to learn that the gremlin @Valmúa had come away alive as well. Kuhn had helped save his lady so in return, the titan thought that perhaps he might offer some attempt at not hating his, so long as the gremlin didn't keep being needlessly disrespectful to him.

His face now held even more scars, little ones to add to his missing chunks and deep mars and his shoulders were a little worse for wear but all in all, he had come away with wounds that would heal and still not be the worst ones he bore. He would wear them with pride and would do it all again so that Olive may be safe and with him. He would do more than slay a fucking Walrus, he would replace water with blood and have rivers of crimson decorating the earth if it meant she was safe and alive.

Returning back to Shiroshika now felt like he returned to suffocation and like he had left his home in Olive's heart and love. He had partly wanted to ask her to come home with him, to be with him in Shiroshika yet he couldn't ask it of her. It would be something she would decide on her own, if she ever wanted. For now, though, he returned home with an almost jovial swing to his step -- only to find his brows drawing together as his nose wasn't met with the dominating fresh scent of the mixed bodies of Shiroshika.

It was there but faint. No scents he did not know met his nose, so he wasn't in thoughts that someone had come to attack. Fresh nor old blood did not mix with the faint scents either. Tiberius frowned as he drew his head up as he pulled his gargantuan frame upon a rocky outcrop that overlooked a part of the territory and there he stood, watching over with molten eyes as confusion set. Where was everyone? Had they left without telling him, tired and cowardly?

Tiberius grit his teeth, stopping himself from drawing any conclusions when there was no evidence to support anything. He thought that even if Reiko did not like nor respect him no longer, she would do her Empress duty and at least tell him if they had planned to change territory. Once more the titan was reminded that nothing was ever simple with Shiroshika and he sighed, jumping down from the rock with snow sticking to his silver paws. He would further investigate with a worried brow, his molten gaze alight with unease. ^^
