Can you eat these?

 He was out wandering around, a bit further from Elysium than he probably needed to be but whatever. It was rather peaceful there so he figured he could range a bit to follow his nose. What a great nose it was! Perfect for sniffing out tasty things. He would sniff and snuffle over hills, rush, and stone as he made his way to a mossy area.

 There were tiny mouse-like creatures there that fled as soon as they laid eyes on him, not that he blamed them. He could swallow them in one gulp! However, they weren't what caught his eye. What did catch his eye were the blue flowers that the creatures had been nibbling on. He sniffed and snuffled them, then took a bite himself.

 Hmm... sweet!

 Quite content he sat amongst the blue flowers and chewed on them, cow-like as he enjoyed their flavor. Not as good as strawberries but still pretty tasty!

 Munch. Munch. Munch.

 Over and over again, the man chewed on the tasty flowers and then when he'd swallowed, he reached down to grab some more like a grazing herbivore. He kinda wished he was an herbivore sometimes. They were so lucky when it came to food. They could eat and eat and eat grass all day and it would be enough for them.

 Then again, if he couldn't have meat he'd be really upset. He enjoyed plants but red meat and fish and bugs and crabs and birds... well, okay, most everything tasted amazing.

 Munch. Munch. Munch. Swallow.

 Oh! He'd eaten all the ones here. He should grab some from the neighboring bush.

 He turned his head and then--

 "OH HEY THERE!" He smiled at the other wolf that he saw crouching among the flowers, like he was hiding! "OH ARE YOU--" Oh wait wait, he dropped his voice and continued, "Are you hunting something? Do you need help?" Hunting in a group was much easier and if he was trying to snag something then Mordecai was more than happy to help.

 After he grabbed another mouthful of flowers.

 Then, he munch munched while he carefully stalked over to the guy. Teeny, tiny tail wagging as he was quite excited for a hunt.

‘OH HEY THERE!’

His ears flattened further back against his head, and he made an expression like he was caught in the rain without cover, or like he just watched someone shit in his fucking food.

‘Are you hunting something? Do you need help?’

“No.” He grunted. "Fuck off."

He glared. Stood and hunched. His tail limp; dead-weight.

 No? Ah, so he wasn’t hunting! But… he told him to go away –in less than polite terms—and now Mordi wondered if there was a reason for that. Maybe he was busy? Or doing something?

 In either case, the rotund wolf paused in his tracks but he still smiled and his tail wagged like a friendly banner to the man. ”Are you doin’ something else? Oh! I can help if you want!” It must be something difficult with that expression… maybe it was some sort of espionage? Or he was going to sneak somewhere and needed backup. ”I’m real good at protectin’ people if you need backup for something.” Yeah, yeah, that must be it.

 This guy always seemed so angry. He could use some help and a friend.
