With @Vawraek following closely, her new shadowing giant, they walked a few miles into the expanse of the highlands. The evergreens were a sight to behold, even as the sun dipped low over the snow glistening peaks.

When soon they reached the base of the nearest mountain, a quiet dip in the stone caught her eye. If they were to rest soundly tonight, this seemed the wisest place. There were no others that she knew of it, so she could only hope they would not be sprung with any trouble.

She turned to the man, appraising him silently for a moment. They were at odds, she and her new companion, it seemed. But maybe a bit of time with her here might sway him. If only he could see the bright vision, as she did.

“This seems a good place to settle for tonight. It may not be the warmest without a cave, but we don't have much choice until we can travel further up come tomorrow.” And who knows, maybe they would be each other's warmth for the night.

He was a bad man, or so he said. But weren't they all bad, to some extent? “We have all done wrong, sometime in our lives. But that does not discredit what good is within us.” Her words were breathy, her skin tingling as he surrounded her in every way. His skin, his scent, his breath.

But even has he spoke of evil, she wasn't yet detered. He promised he would stay. But even if only for tonight, in some way, she was content even to have him in this moment. Sure, she might be a bit heartbroken if he was gone when light struck over them. She knew she could ask of him more than he was willing to give. And that was okay, oddly enough.

“Just... be you, in this moment. That is all I ask. Even if you cannot offer more.” For some truly couldn't, for it wasn't in their nature. And could she truly blame him for it if he could not?

His closeness ate at her, spurring on onward. Her muzzle brushed against his fur, her teeth nipping at the flesh of his neck. She wanted to feel him, every part. She wanted him to consume her, make her forget the very world as it cascaded around them. And if he did not give that willingly, despite her knowing she would, the primal instinct within her demanded she take it. Even if by force.

He promised many things. And he delivered.

Breathless, even still, she rested against him, a content expression alight on her face. The night had been thrilling, far more-so than she had expected. And it was safe to say she didn't regret a thing.

“You know what I just realized...” She spoke suddenly, breaking the peaceful silence. “We never shared names.” How embarrassing.

His sides heaved, light pants escaping his lips as he regained his breath. This was certainly a new experience with an entirely new anatomy that he'd have to get used to, but over all it was just as enjoyable as a human. He let his tongue trail along the soft curve of her cheek, savoring the taste of her skin on his tongue.

For a moment, he relished the silence, allowing the moment to stretch like an elastic band, savoring it for as long as he could. A low, soft hum rumbled in his chest, ears twitching at her statement, but in no real rush to answer her just yet. Content despite the cold wind that blew at his back.

Eventually, the quiet stretched too far and he found his voice, smooth and teasing as he finally replied. “I suppose we didn’t.” The words dripped with a playful, devil-may-care attitude, and a smirk tugged at the edges of his lips as he relished in this little game he decided to play. He made a deliberate effort to keep his name unspoken, eager to tease and push at her buttons.

He teased her. Withheld his name. But two could play at that game.

She twisted her chin, her teeth nipping and her tongue tickling his skin. “What's the matter? Too afraid to tell a woman your name?” She muses, her stark blue gaze alight with mirth.

His reaction was immediate as he returned a sharp nip of his own to the fluff of her cheek, the salmon pink muscle of his tongue followed to sooth the sting of his bite. "Far from it, but names hold power," or so said every magical creature he's ever encountered. Namely witches. Something about blah blah blah, power, blah blah blah. He didn't tend to listen as you can tell.

"Tell you what," he adjusted himself so he could splay out his hindquarters and leaned more of his weight on his elbow. "Let's play a game. You guess my name correctly first and I'll tell you anything you want to know about me—honestly. I'll also stay." His grin was wicked and sharp, "should I guess your name correctly first, then I gain a a raincheck—a favor if you will." Bartering in truths and playing games wasn't something Vawraek was unused to. Regardless, he wasn't too worried should she guess his name first. "Rules of the game go like this: each correct guess the person guessing gets, the person being asks has to give a hint and fact about themself. Each wrong answer, it's flipped. The person being questioned gets a hint and fact. Understood?" Finch yellow eyes locked onto her own.

Rather than give in, he pushed a bit harder, turning this into an actual game.

She wiggled her way in an upright position, tilting her head a bit to the side. “You said with each guess... are we guessing letters to spell it out, then?” For what else could he have meant?

The proposition puzzled her, yet also intrigued her at the same time. Once she understood the rules, she would certainly be inclined to accept. It sounded fun, after all.

“Smart girl,” he genuinely praised, yellow eyes crinkling at the edges to show his amusement. Tiny, little crows feet that were just as prevalent in this canine body as they were when he was a flesh and blood man.

He watched her, eyes hooded and taking in every detail of her movements as she made to stand up. “Do we have a deal?" He asked, as he patiently waited for her to accept his proposition.

She hummed a soft note, circling him slowly, her body like a coiling snake against his skin. And then she left him, took away her warmth. Settling affront him, she nodded. “Alright, then. Let's play.”

Almost immediately he missed her warmth and weight leaning into his side. He would have frowned had he lacked any control over his micro expressions. Vawraek was a tactile creature and a kind touch had been a long time coming for him. The tightening around his eyes was the only sign of his displeasure as his head turned to follow her.

He crossed his paws over each other and gave his full attention as a ponderous look came over his features. A small dip of his chin was the only acknowledgement he gave to her agreeance. "I'll start first then." He settled.

"Is there an S in your name?" He asked, watching her intently for any tales or otherwise.

Her eyes lit with humor upon his first guess, feeling all too excited that she was already one step ahead with his first loss.

“Hmm... nope,” She all but nearly giggled, far too pleased. Now she just to guess...

“Is there an 'a' in yours?”

He guessed wrong, but he was mot disappointed when her face brightened like the sun and a cheeky little smile took over her features, softening them into something ethereal.

At her own guess he couldn't help, but chuckle. "Beginners luck," he would say with a low rumble in his voice. "My name contains a mix of vowels and consonants that create a unique sound when spoken." He gave her a shit eating grin, knowing the hint wasn't exactly helpful, yet still was within the bounds of the rules. "I'm an Aries." He lifted a paw, waving it in her direction in a 'go ahead motion' despite his wide toothy grin. "Is there a 'p' in your name?"

The hint he then gave was vague, which made her squint. The letter 'A' was really all she had to go off of now, which wasn't much.

When he guessed again, she chortled, enjoying herself and this little game that she was so clearly winning. “Better luck next time,” she grinned, then pondered her next guess. “'V'?” She questioned, hopeful.

She had to be cheating or the more absurd idea, reading his mind. Already she had two strikes in her favor and he none. Regardless, he was enjoying himself too much to really throw a fit—at least for now.

"Well look at that. You strike gold again," he narrowed his finch colored eyes in good humor. "My name has a similar cadence to break." He hinted, making sure this hint was a little more helpful even if it was still vague as all shit. "How about 'L'?"

She'd struck gold. His words, not hers.

Eyes gleaming with triumph, she took note of the additional hint, then shook her head to his guess. “No 'L'. Would there, by chance, be a 'T' in your name?” It seemed odd, considering 'A', 'V', and 'T' hadn't much cadence with the word 'break'. She frowned slightly, assuming she'd be incorrect once she threw the letter out there. But she couldn't take it back now.

And finally she would guess a wrong letter. His grin turned from indulgent to excited. "Nope," he said, popping the 'p' gleefully as his funch colored eyes danced with unbridled mirth. "J?"

Knew it. She huffed out a disappointed breath, begrudgingly giving up her first hint.

“Nope, no 'J'. And for your hint, since I was wrong, my name has nine letters in total.” Since he'd wanted to play the vague hint card, she would too. “Is there a 'P'?”

He grinned when she returned the vague hint about her name. "Seems like we both lose this round." His losing streak alone would ensure she one the game. "If its not J, how about E?" He inquired before giving his hint. "My name has seven letters in it."

His humor quickly rekindled her mood, a small grin of her own sliding in to match his.

“No 'E' either. But I guess, since I do feel a little bad you keep getting it wrong, I'll give you a freebie hint. One letter repeats three times within the name.” She'd let him sit on that one, squirming while trying to figure out what the hell it meant. Especially considering he hadn't yet gotten any letter right. “Now, for my next guess... how about 'Q'?”
