Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

@Ragnar

Sometimes she found herself in a tiny forest of unknown names. There was no one claiming yet, and remained in a peaceful neutral land. It was a dense forest, but all so small that it wasn't a true wonder why no one wanted it. It held simple prey, she could smell the rabbits and traces of the arctic caribou but nothing truly lasting. A few birds though, were often seen coming through, especially an arctic owls. There wasn't an interest in hunting in these lands, for Orlaith didn't have the true patience to try and cover her bright colors. The preference of the mountains and forests remained at large, for at least then she could blend into the trees and rocks itself.. But there wasn't a deny, she held trouble at times in blending.

So her time sometimes went toward that forest. She could be seen doing odd tricks, often trying to.. Intake the 'tiger' spirit. She had a jealousy when it came to the trees, for they were so large and yet their claws allowed a freedom to go up them, and hang by the branches. When she reached a trunk, it wasn't the same. Orlaith's claws could not.. There was an angry huffing from the wildebeest of flames, as her claws curled onto the trunk, and she clawed it in anger, marking it like a bear.
