She prowled through the tundra, her nose to the ground as she caught the scent of another. A golden beauty, coming through that of the snowy wonderland — a sore thumb at certain angles, and she tried her best to hide within the trees from the scent. Uriel licked her maws, as she hadn't had the taste of rabbit for quite some time and believed, she had found the scent of one.

The snow was plush enough where it didn't crunch too hard against the floor, not icy — but a pleasant cushion for her paws. A careful avoidance of any branches that fell to disturb, but, she hadn't yet seen the actual morsel, only could smell the rabbit on the tip of her nose. She continued her track, deep into the woods, and unknowingly, near the Everfrost.

Coincidentally, the tiger was also hunting near the borders that day, though it was another day where locating prey was proving difficult. Really anything that ran on four legs right now would sate his desire for a chase. So when he caught scent of that very same rabbit, he could already feel it squirm in it's death throws.

Unknown to him, there was another tracking the prey from another angle. When his nose finally lead him to seeing the little creature, he gave chase. The once silent treeline now cracking with snapping vegetation. Kicking up plumes of snow in pursuit, the massive cat was leading the rabbit directly to the woman barreling blissfully in toe.

Uriel in simple terms, was a coward. She did not have the spirit to fight, nor' held that passion to protect those she held close for.. There currently wasn't any. She valued the life she had, and did not enjoy pain that was inflicted. Upon getting manhandled by a cultist wolf and the disappearance of another, she had fled from the land in a haste — not wishing to come across such dread.

But the realm had mysterious ways, and pulled the golden woman back.

However she wasn't fast enough to react to the unexpected. The smell of beast came to the nose, on the trail of the rabbit. The musk of that of a cat, so familiar and yet clung heavily to the ice. Something she didn't know and brought a bristle to her back, a nerve that told Uriel that she should be wary — her nose caught the scent of something that was an enemy.

Snow flying and on the go there it was, a beast. Wearing stripes like a coat and larger then the plain cats, and it burrowed after the same prey she wanted. Her very body tensed and froze, for every muscle said to run but alas.. All she did is stare, like a frightened cat.

Though he was a powerful hunter, the agility if the small rabbit proved challenging for the massive cat, fumbling paws, grasping for the small target. Predictably, rabbits would usually shoot under cover if being pursued. In this case, the fleeing prey didn't see the distinction between the cover of a wolf or a brush, busy trying to escape the jaws of the cat.

His nose caught it first, the scent of fear, was no longer just the fleeing rabbit, and was now mixed with wolf. By the time he noticed and looked up, his momentum was far to great.

Not really having a choice he swapped his target to the frozen wolf, opting to attempt to take her down, if possible, pulling her into his chest and falling to his side for a controlled crash into a bank of snow.

The situation felt too familiar, to the wolf (@Cypress) who lunged at her within the plains. A beast in the making, covered in flames and yet their body was a different form ; felined, a more aggressive then the other. She could feel the weight coming onto her, and naturally there was a snapping of her jaws and a whining, a pleading, even knowing there was no use of so.

She was not fast enough to flee, and went tumbling down to the grasping of the tiger. Every moment her legs kicking and moving, rapidly snapping where she could go just for the small chance to flee, to run — ! It all she could do, in her horror.

Out of the entire tundra, and he was unlucky to have to crash into someone. Modifying a typical takedown he would use for something about this size, Kuhn instead of using his claws for control, used his paws to hook around the body, and instead of his Jaws, he compensated by pulling her tighter to the chest.

As he slid out on his side taking most of the impact himself, the wolf began to thrash and squirm in his grasp. Instinctually, he felt as if he should bite her, the thrashing egging him on. "Calm down!" he growled, not able to help his claws partially pricking at the stranger. Though he had himself mostly in control, his eyes where dilated, and his tail thrashed murderously.

Not wanting to get bit over this, he moved to straddle her with his weight, attempting to place a paw on the back of her neck to restrain her until they could both calm down.

An illusion she thought, for a beast bringing her down could not possibly speak to calm down and settle.. Especially as he was the one to attack herself, and send her into a frenzy for pure survival. Thrashing and clawing as all she could do, until Uriel finally opened her shiny maw to start using teeth, that was the wolves best weapon in a fight. Chomping more precisely, especially as she aimed for the paws in particular. Every inch of her body screamed, to release me!

She continued to thrash and struggle under him. Instinct, made his knees knock, almost shaking with pent up energy. Swishing his tail violently, he was able to readjust his posture for a better hold. It was a good thing too, her Jaws almost found their way into his wrist, if not for a quick adjustment.

In a flash of red, he lost himself. All he could feel was his whiskers on her neck, her thrashing. In the next moment he opened his eyes, he only had her scruff tightly behind her ears. He could only taste fur, no blood.

What could he do with her now? If he let her go now she could turn on his face. Growling deeply into the back of her neck, he rumbled, low and threatening, slowly lifting her to her feet.

She was like a newborn fawn, frozen within the embrace of her neck and picked up like a child. Naturally so such a weight felt.. Unusual, something that hadn't happen since her early days of puphood and yet now as a grown adult, shy of two years.. She was once more, grasped by the nap of the neck, limbs shackled to a limp placate while being held like so.

Heavy breathing came from Uriel, confusion as well with wide-eyes and a wonder. A struggle would be attempted and yet in vain for the beast taken hold of the fawn. She dreaded what would happen next — in a blissful silence, fearing for her fate.

Beating quickly, his heart slowed note by note. Deep breaths, depositing a foggy breath into the scruff of her neck, his rumble continued, trailing off, fading to silence.

Slowly lowering her front feet back to the ground, he placed a paw across her chest; a final warning not to turn on him. Gradually, he released the pressure he had on her scruff. "Are you ok?", he almost purred, calm but with a hint of that previous rumble.

Though what sounded like a purr to others, to Uriel it sounded like a deep rumble — a growling, a warning. Even moreso as a large paw was upon her, steadling where she could not move, and even fidgeting was within a vain. One she didn't attempt but the already warning. She could feel the sweat form beneath her paws, a rippling intoxication through her mind as if all was to end.. An embrace of death, that would never come.

And it spoke.

She spoke back.

"Are you going to kill me?"

Was he going to kill her?

"No... I'm going to kill you. Umm... I mean im not...", he answered a bit flustered but otherwise calm, sighing to let out the last bits of excitement from that odd hunt. With that he slowly removed his paw from her chest lowering it to the ground. Free to walk out from under him now, the cat could still sense her fear. Things could have gone alot worse, though he was glad that even in the moment where he lost himself, his soul remained, and the woman was unharmed.

Still tense himself, he was ready for any unexpected backlash from the stranger, ready for any sudden motions. Standing over her, he could still feel her tremor, smell her sweat, her fear. His tail twitched.

Although her state stimulated his desire to hunt, he didn't want to be cruel. Attempting to soothe her somewhat, "I get that alot.", He chuffed with a warm smile, sniffing at her, a somewhat universal greeting for both the feline and canine.

When she felt that release of pressure upon her back, Uriel was rather quick to scramble upon her feet. She was defensive, but not on an offense — she was wary, especially while looking more closely to the other before her. Vaguely so it felt like she knew of them, those of the northern claims were bright and stripped. Larger and stronger then the cougars of the plains, and a fearsome predator to any that come across. She was a bit skeptical for a moment, especially while in his grasp and ready to be devoured — but the golden wolf could not forget the friendly polar bear that was also a beast, but held a diplomacy. The tiger, could speak like any other.

"Why did you attack me?" she croaked out. Uriel couldn't relax from the sudden shift of fates. Firstly attacking her and then offering a smile — and some moments would she accept and smile back but all her hairs stood in a fear. She panted lightly, a trembling in her legs from the exhaustion of it all, emotionally and physically.

Expectedly, she skittered out from under him, and he made no move to stop her. He half expected her to run for her life. Maybe she couldn't, her legs where still shaking.

Taking a long pause he looked over the golden wolf, before setting his haunches down, showing her that he had no intent to lunge at her. "A...Attack you? I was after the rabbit..." , he retorted calmly, his tail lashing in frustration. "It went under your legs..." .

Stubborn, he half looked away licking the back of his wrist. The cat didn't want to apologize, she was in his way, she could have moved. Though, only a few moments and a couple of licks later, "I'm sorry... Maybe I got carried away, I didn't see you until the last second."

'Then why did you tackle me when your far more larger instead going around?' Is what Uriel wanted to say, though bit back her thoughts and continued with a cautious, and anxious stare. She wasn't sure what to make of his mindset, in all honesty. It seemed but a lame excuse to get out of it, a stubbornness, like a child that he reminded her of. Clearly so, a frustration within the situation as she took a gauge at his tail. It seemed he really didn't want to go after her, yet actions spoke louder then words and their.. Tussle, frightened.

But when observed her body there wasn't any true blood or scaring, perhaps the faintest underneath her fur of scraps and bruises as it always would bring — but no true harm, that a tiger could surely do. She licked her shoulder that ached slightly, and then looked over at him with a bit of surprise, to hear that of an apology.

"I believe and forgive you," Uriel said, as she determined by the situation altogether — a child within a mans body, an overpowered one at that. There was a slight release in tension but she continued to remain on a rather guarded, a fleeting foot if a situation were to arise again.

"Perhaps.. Please give notice, of your presence, if you could," there was a clear hesitation as she asked so.. Yet found the slightest of courage, facing him who was apologetic in the situation. Uriel very much didn't want it to repeat again if they crossed paths.

Truthfully, he just hadn't been paying attention to where he was going, far two absorbed with his little hunt. In addition it wasn't easy to stop a half ton body in motion, especially not on such short notice. Really he did the best he could not to hurt the girl, without getting bit himself.

Looking up from his grooming, he cracked a smile, after all she forgave him, though she cost him a rabbit. Though it was hardly anything to fret over, he actually had a kill nearby, though it was likely frozen now. In the spirit of forgiveness, perhaps he could invite her to...

His jaw dropped at her next comment. She was apparently asking the ambush predator to announce himself next time he was hunting. A twitch of his eye revealed his confusion and silent anger at the comment. How was he supposed to announce himself if he didn't know she was there, was he supposed to go roaring around every corner?

Furrowing his brows and lashing his tail, "Do you announce yourself when you're hunting?"

She flinched at his change. The tiger had definite moments of moodswings, as she noted in one moment she was like prey, and the other trying to soothe her down.. Then suddenly blaming her for the situation, apologizing, then circling back around. Yet it seemed her words were mistaken, she did not want him to announce his hunting, but rather if he saw her, tell her to move. Though a fear, took hold of her that voided few words in the slight scare if she said more it would cause more harm then good.

Uriel was quick to falter, to protect herself, "I'm sorry," she said, backing up, "I won't be near this area again," she acted like she was a child, being scolded. It was easier to void being around this area.. The Everfrost, there was some that definitely claimed it albeit weak of smell, but she had no idea that it was a tigers domain, for when she met @Valmúa, it continued to assume it was a wolves land.

The golden wolf continued to back up, as she was rather ready to leave to avoid more harm in the situation, especially for herself.

Perhaps, there had been some sort of disconnect in understanding; he didn't know she was there. Though it looked like a the slightest pushback the girl had shut down. Closing his eyes, he rolled them back in his head.

"Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong.", he tried to say while masking his irritation.  Her saying that she wouldn't return here was basically an insult, he never asked her to leave.  A long slow exhale, released a cloud of fog into the air.

Picking himself up, he turned around to walk the way he came.  She was welcome to stay, though there didn't seem to be any use in making her feel welcome.  She likely wouldn't feel welcome anywhere, she would have to feel worthy first.

There wasn't a confidence in his words compared to what his body said, as she read the situation. It was best to leave, and avoid altogether. Maybe another day could it be addressed but she felt for the time being she would retreat and avoid, giving a space to her and those who occupied that forest. Thus, Uriel would turn away without another word, and disappear to the tundra grounds.
