Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

@Olympia-Elune

She could feel her leg far more better ; it was nearly healed. She roamed the island, though limping, it was not as bad before, and more confident within her strides. Only on occasion did she feel moments of pinch, bruising from the crashing through and her wounds healing from the impact of being thrown off. It was time, taking a long, long time to safely be where she was.. Months passing by, hearing the strife upon the borders and the disregard Northfall continued to do.

War was clear on it's way, but.. It wasn't the wish. Vendrussel wanted it to simply stop, be at peace and a co-existence if the others would leave them alone.. But at least soon she would be able to help defend the brim, as she could soar across the beach and run without fear. Just a few more weeks, the wolf promised herself, that she would remain at the isle to heal — mostly at the discretion of the roaming doctor and Kei, for an earfull was to be given to the alpha who was foolishly moving.

But she couldn't help but roam this isle, an excitement for her legs to finally be free! Vendrussel was impatient.. Waiting by the bridge that led to the isle to the mainland, watching in an impatience. The waves crashing gently, and the sound of gulls in the distance. It felt peaceful, compared to the storms that been happening

She'll be free soon.

Whilst she explored as any young cub would, with all the curiosity in her, Oly still sometimes didn't stray too far from the Dragoness herself. There was something inside her, clawing to the surface whenever the wolf who found her here came to mind and it was dark, possessive in it's whisper. Olympia barely paid it any mind, not realising it wasn't particularly healthy but not often did the feline, so young and untouched by lessons, care to know what was normal and what wasn't, really. This was her normal. In a pack was her norm, despite having not really met anyone else and the moment she caught sight of a dark form up ahead, the cub prowled forward.

She giggled, young teeth gleaming as she ran her tongue along her lips as she approached Vendrussel without worry. Perhaps had she been older, more experienced, she might have taken a moment to think that despite Ven being older, she might feel some nerves for being touched so eagerly by a feline. She purred deeply as she brushed up against Vendrussel's side and nibbled at her flesh, tail curling around her possessively.

"If you push me too much my leg will break again." A tigress had settled on the sepulcher, and no parents had come to retrieve her. Maybe she was like the rest, wisped away to this land in an unknown, and by coincidence, had landed in the ford. Yet as the days grew by, she too grew. Vendrussel knew it was only a matter time before she completely toppled herself in size, and was already enough to push her over by a mere brush.

For some reason as well, she had taken a liking to her. The Alpha was still determined to take her to the north though, and find the tigers that roamed there, asking, if they knew her. It wasn't right to take a child that wasn't rightfully her own, much less when she had some suspects who the parent was. But for the meantime, she was taking care of her.

"What are you up to?" she asked the child, slightly suspicious what mischief she was doing before arriving. She lifted one of her free paws and tried to pat the others head, rather clumsily.

She pouted, "no," eager to disagree though she let up just a little bit. Oly saw no real desire to see the Dragoness broken again, it made it so she could not do much with her and really, Olympia wouldn't have that. She had not approached anyone else though saw them in passing, none quite drawing her attention the same as Vendrussel.

Her question drew Oly's curved ears forward and cheekily she tilted her head as the woman bat her head,
"nothing~," she drawled, her words elongated as she hummed. "I'm bored, Dragon," Elune whined as she lifted to nuzzle the offending paw.

It was true there was not much to do on the isle. Though it could hold a sizable portion of them, it still led to every turn to the ocean. A forest surrounded by beaches and occasional rocky shore. At the very least they held some fresh water in the midst of it, the ford would be rather unlivable if that was the case. A mixture of surface and underwater..

"Have you tried exploring the cave?" Vendrussel said, "we found an entrance some time ago.. But in truth we haven't explored too much." That might bring the young tigress some entertainment until she could take her off the isle. Still needed to confront Kuhn about the matter, if he knew anybody.. Or was secretly his own. She didn't particularly want to seek out a beast of the north, finding it best to live in ample coexistence. Especially when he was an oddity by itself, compared to their Olympia.

"Maybe find that school of fish i've been scouting," she smiled with a 'hmm,' on thinking of it. She has been eyeing it, but with her leg.. The school has just been in peace.
