Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

When morning rose, the sun dancing between the woodlands, a scattering of sunshine going through.. A beauty, a scenery, golden in touch and in love as she passed through and embraced each gloss of sun. Yet a silence, hung in the air, not even the tweeting of the birds in the morning came and only the silence, of a cricket every few moments. An utter silence, alone with each step as she took, heavy in heart and face going down. Though beauty as it was, she couldn't help but look at it for the time being — passing into a part of the empty space.

She sat down, looking upwards with a face twisted in but pity — a loneliness within heart and body,

Uriel.. Wasn't sure what to do now, that Rannoch disappeared. Though the Golden Glades became her momentarily home, she stayed around for the sake of the man — as neither knew of this world, alongside of the other woman that was also a mystery to where she had went. Somewhere within the area, it was assumed, and yet.. Did she too, disappear with Rannoch?

Shaking her head, she shouldn't have such thoughts of sadness and chaos that the two left in arms, leaving Uriel behind. Yet in the end she couldn't know why either were to go, and she.. By herself within these lands. Beautiful, and yet not enough to touch her heart as she seemed at a loss. For no familiarity around, it felt more cold then the winter itself.
