It was amazing how, when Olive chose to lean into the things that gave her stress, the stressful part of it seemed to... melt away. Now, Olive didn't feel great about leaving Meissa in the throes of late pregnancy; but the exotic woman was hale and healthy and, truthfully, there would be little benefit of having a midwife on call. A healthy mother could deliver a fine litter of pups all on her own; Olive's skill truly came into play when something, gods forbid, went wrong.

This was the only part that caused the sylph pain; not of the pain of regret, but of promises unfulfilled. Olive was a woman who always chose to follow her inner compass, as her intuition spoke loudly and was impossible to ignore. When something fell out of alignment, she followed her the 'north' elsewhere. It was only luck that her friends Archon and Benry had decided to come along, whether they were bound to the woman in some way, or not. Secretly, Olive hoped that they could keep up with her vicissitudes, and would not grow to resent her for them.

All things considered, Olive was feeling brighter about the future than she had in a while. Excitement tugged at her heart the way it always did before she made a great leap. It was the pull of her inner compass which the flighty dove followed when she had entered the mountains, and it was what kept her in this forested area just before the mountains. Wondrous things happened here, it seemed, and it kept her feet planted for the meanwhile. Olive knew her heart pulled her deeper into the mountains, into the snows, with the woman who seemed to be her exact mirror. But first, she needed to calibrate. So that's what she did.

Olive sat by a grand, expansive weeping willow, and tried to calibrate.

There were literally wolves everywhere. All over the damn place, no matter where he went. What's more, he knew he could talk to them for some StarClan-forsaken reason. He also knew that he likely wasn't finding his clan or another clan to replace his own. That much was clear. Now, he followed StarClan just as much as the next cat and he knew when things were likely screwy for a reason. Maybe he had some dumb purpose for being out here and maybe he'd find it by doing... something? Talking to a wolf, maybe? And no, not that dumb fucking three-legged wolf he'd met before. But one that would actually talk. One with brains in its head. Maybe... maybe he would understand then what he was supposed to do.

As much as he loved only being accountable for himself... he didn't. He fucking missed his clanmates faces and patrolling and having a purpose. Now he just wandered around doing nothing but hunting and behaving like a fucking rogue. It was ridiculous and soul killing. Not only for StarClan would he fucking talk to a wolf but to relieve his boredom and his need for socialization.

He sighed and hauled himself up a tree for what felt like the thousandth time. He was used to sleeping in trees nowadays because wolves were fucking everywhere and probably would take a bite out of him if they caught him napping out in the open. Gone were the days when he could rely on his clanmates to keep an eye out.

It was exhausting, to say the least.

The man laid down on a limb, tail curled around his large body as he stared out with slitted golden eyes, bored as sin. Until, well, until a wolf showed up. No surprise there. This one was white but seemed much calmer than the last one he'd encountered. He watched her silently as she paced underneath the yawning tree and sat down. He remembered his previous thoughts about StarClan and how he thought about socialization and his reason for being here and all that medicine cat shit. He sighed to himself and then called down to her, "Having a fucking nap down there?" It wasn't rude, it was just a question. He sounded quite defeated and his use of explicatives was just ingrained into his very soul whether he was happy, sad, angry, whatever.

The roan queen relished in her moment of freedom as she took to the mountainside. Motherhood had not been easy, not that she expected it to be, even with additional paws there was no denying how tired she had become. Sleep came in bouts, only when all five of her children decided to rest easily at the same time, and realistically, Hiero could not help with their every need. They had been too young to feed on anything but milk, something she hoped to change soon, even if it might be early. It was hard to say just when her growing pups would be ready, but as things had been, they were beginning to find their paws.

As they learned to stumble about the den, Ira had grown thankful for the large branch Hieronymous retrieved early on to block the path out of the den. Each day they looked bigger, and she knew not just how long they would be stopped by wood, but for now it would spare both parents. Today @Hieronymous had given her an escape, the young pups looking to practice on wobbly legs, and much like them, she too desired a much-needed stretch. Ira had planned to only leave shortly, gather something fresh from a cache before she returned for the children's sake, but she couldn't stop herself from wandering down to the lush run at her feet.

A quick hunt would be enough to get her blood pumping and settle the restlessness she suffered from while she stayed with her brood. All the better, she could bring something truly fresh for herself and maybe pique the interest of the kids. Even with the rolling seasons, she was pleased to find that various scents still lingered about their hunting grounds. It gave hope that they truly would find no issues with food once winter was bestowed upon them and snow blanketed the land. Ira hoped for something smaller as she sniffed out the fresh trails. A rabbit would do, or perhaps if she was lucky, a lone sheep. Something else would catch her attention first though... the scent of a wolf.

@Orlaith had informed her of intruders recently, though none had come back as far as the warden knew. It was ever frustrating to have those who did not belong linger in, likely taking from the mouths of her people, her children. One would think with not one, but two pack scents heavy in the area they would steer clear of the frequented land, but alas, that was hopeful thinking. Already her mood had been soured, or perhaps that was the toll of her ever needy brood as she stalked after the scent. It wouldn't take long to find a pale pelt amongst the green, small and dainty as she appeared to sleep. Had it not been for her size and scent she would have almost believed it to be @Quicksilver. Fortune would favor the cat that lingered above, his presence currently undetected as Ira dealt with what she saw as the true threat lingering about her lands. A low chuff would be her only greeting until she caught the woman's eye,

What brings you here?

The little witch had shut her eyes against the light of the late morning, allowing her attentions to turn inwards and a meditative state to take over. This was the essence of Olive's godliness, and the inner compass that drove her. This sliver of connection she had to the divine, that always laid in wait for her to access, was her guiding light; and she sought its influence then. The woman cleared her mind, stilled her breath, and then the words of some forsaken God fell upon her like a mist of rain: Having a fucking nap down there?

Olive's eyes immediately snapped open, for her inner divine light was not usually so... forthcoming. If the woman had a second longer to thing about it and proceed to have a conversation with the voice, she would have likely realized it was a mere tomcat in the tree canopy — but another, who's presence carried far more gravity, entered onto the scene and greeted her without the gentle air Olive expected to receive outside the Plains. and, honestly, that was Olive's bad to thing that the universe owed her anything, especially niceties and platitudes. That was not the reality they lived in.

Within a moment, the shrouded shewolf was standing and assumed a diminutive stature. She might had been submissive if they hadn't been in (what Olive assumed to be) unclaimed land, so Olive settled on a respectable deference that hopefully would be returned by the roan stranger. "A desire that takes me westward," she explained her presence without delay, her nose and gaze pointing in the direction away from the dry grasslands. Having through this mountain range enough times to know the lay of the land, she went ahead and postulated that this woman was of the packs to the north before sharing "This was... the most direct route. I hope to make it before the snows blow in." Olive's eyes glanced back at the woman, hoping she would see the inherent truth of it.

Olive's tail couldn't help with sway with a slight wag, easily able to scry the scent of a milky, den-bound new mother. "I travel with a child, you see." She said, hoping to share a potential commonality. If anything, perhaps there was some way the midwife could be still be of aid to a new mother, having missed her chance to practice her calling with Meissa.

He could tell that he'd easily disturbed the woman below. She seemed to jolt out of whatever stupor she was in to look around. Had she not realized that it was he who was speaking to her from on high? Jeez, wolves were really slow on the uptake, weren't they? He rolled his eyes, prepared to steer her in the right direction.

Except someone else arrived on the scene.

He could barely see her through the canopy but was that an annoyed tone he sensed? To be silent or to say something else? He could likely end up with both of them snapping down his neck. These fuckers usually lived in packs, right? He could out wait one, but many? That was a little more dubious. Then again, was one scrawny cat worth all that trouble?

He pondered his options, looking back at the willow and deciding that he could retreat into higher branches if he needed to. Maybe if make a leap and run into the forest beyond if things got really hairy.

So, he plopped himself into thick cover in the leaves and would sit there silently while the two conversed, listening idly to their boring prattle.

Before her own voice reached out the other had jerked, startled as if she was suddenly aware of another's presence around her. Ira hadn't been trying to sneak, though if this woman had been resting then it would be easy to miss the sounds surrounding from alerting her to any potential dangers. Nevertheless, she was quick to her feet as she eyed the roan queen with caution. Her explanation came with ease, and though she was mildly annoyed to have strangers looming about so close, it was good to hear that she was not staying and apparently not hunting.

Only briefly would her gaze shift to the beyond. She knew the north she spoke of, and some of its inhabitants. She did not smell of a pack but that did not mean she was not in pursuit of one. If she belonged to Reiko then her presence could be forgiven. Outsiders would always wander near so long as the run was lush and full of prey, even if her borders moved to the farthest reaches it would not stop some. Is there someone you seek? Perhaps she could send her on her way where she would properly avoid claims. If she aided then it was likely she would be gone sooner than later as well.

A shorter path does not always mean it is the most peaceful. Nor did it mean it would save the most time. This land borders two claims. If you wish to avoid conflict it would be best to give a wide birth or cut between this range and the next to the west. Most of the claims in this general area lead north along this path. True, Elysium was rather docile and Shiroshika wasn't outwardly aggressive, but there was also a wanted woman roaming somewhere along this path.

Almost as if the thought summoned her fears, a rustle in the branches caught her attention. It seemed heavy for a bird, though no wolf could climb a tree like that so at the very least dangerous rogue was crossed off the list. For a moment only would she squint where leaves had rustled, though she would soon pass it off as a bird or something. Ira turned her attention slowly back to the woman before her. She mentioned a child, though wherever they were they were not here now, nor did she smell like milk. Stepping closer, she'd lean in to smell her better, and sure enough other scents lingered. Wolf was clear, but some other musk hung to her coat that caused her nose to wrinkle.

Is that all you travel with? Her child may be older, there was no reason for her to lie yet aside from gaining her favor, but now she could truly test if her words rang true. She recognized the other scent. It was that of a mountain lion, or something similar at least, but something she wanted no part of. Would she explain it or would she shrug a reason her way for the other scents that lingered? Where is your child now? This land has been alerted to dangers recently. A threat lingers, fleeing from the tundra.

to my understanding benry is traveling with her too but if that changed let me know and I'll edit my post!

Olive listened astutely as the roan woman spoke and explained the geopolitical layout of this area — though the wayfaring woman had been through this place once more and knew it to be bordered by packs, that was the limit to her knowledge of the area. Perhaps, had she stayed to learn more of the wolves who would one day become her neighbors, she would have realized that they were territorial over this lush hunting lodge. For a second, Olive feared that she had led her small group right into the jaws of the lion; but as she continued to watch the woman speak and emote, she didn't seem overly aggressive in her mannerism. She simply inquired and informed, and Olive nodded along appreciatively.

Olive hadn't immediately felt the need to explain the species of all her travel companions, but she knew there was no way she could keep it a secret. Benry's scent was as thick & strong upon her pelt as her own was, after all. "No," the sylph answered factually when she was pressed for (what she assumed was) an explanation of her cat-scent.  "We are three; a mountain lion considers himself our protector." Expecting this not to be an issue (hadn't Little Haven been more than accepting of his distinctly feline presence?), Olive tossed a laugh towards the woman and clarified more about the nature of her kitty-cat friend. "Although I fear he might actually be harmless, and offers no true aegis at all." Benry's presence was imposing, but his reality was more fluff and confusion.

Olive continued her attempt to clarify her intentions, amidst her interrogation."He is not mine, but a boy whom I care for," she began, her sweet voice halting as the branches above her rustled, grabbing the attention of both, and suddenly Olive's stomach felt pitted. She was in  a precarious situation with this defensive pack wolf, and Benry wanted to play games! "@benry, is that you...? she chirped in a tone she hoped the cat would understand as compulsory.

He thought that they were going to move on into idle prattle after everything was said and done. However, it didn't seem to be happening that way. The clan-wolf who'd walked up later had begun to spout off information that was actually very interesting to know. He blinked, amber eyes grasping onto that information and sinking it in for later. Two claims meant two more wolf clans with StarClan knew how many more wolves to deal with. Taking her advice, he could avoid interacting with most of them. One wolf while he was in a tree was one thing but multiples? No fucking thanks, he didn't want to end up eaten and a pile of shit on the ground.

The white wolf spoke about traveling with some kid and some... mountain lion? Well, that was interesting. Was a mountain lion some sort of beast from the fabled LionClan? He actually would really like to meet someone like that... or maybe they'd eat him sooner than they'd talk to him. What if that's what StarClan wanted of him? Well, not to get eaten but to find this white wolf so that he could meet someone from LionClan? Hot damn!

He'd unintentionally been shifting more and more forward in the leaves as he listened to them both speaking and grew more interested in this "mountain lion". His movement caught the attention of Miss Clan Wolf as she glanced up to his spot. Moosebellow stiffened, wondering if she would be able to parse him out among the lighter leaves in the trees. It didn't seem like the Clan Wolf would give him too much stock but Miss Lion Wolf did. She called up to him, mentioned him as "Benry"? Benry. The fuck kinda name was that? Sounded like a kittypet name. Couldn't be the LionClan warrior could it?

 Hopefully not.

Although, at this point he felt like his paws were tied. Maybe if the grumpy wolf wanted to eat him the white wolf would help him, especially if she already had cat friends. "Ain't no Benry up here." He said, still hidden in his leaves. Uuggghhh, if he kept hidden, they might get agitated and start barking and bringing more. If he showed himself, they might get hungry and get agitated and bring more. Alright, so tree back there and bolt for it if things got too fishy.

The tomcat poked his head out of the leaves and looked down at them both. "'Sup, ladies." He said with his best attempt at a casual smile. Maybe if he talked, they wouldn't want his butt on their dinner plate.

Guess the cat was out of the bag now.

he'd gotten distracted, as was usual of him. he felt more grounded with the mountains and hills rolling high above him, filling the horizon for him instead of making his brain do alltthe work.

when he realized he'd lagged behind, the cougar followed after olive leisurely at first, then speeding up when he heard voices. they were calm voices now, but he'd learned from the golden wolf not to trust all convos.

this one struck him as odd. there was a third, smaller voice that wasn't the pup. it was mature but not large. he kept walking until olive and another wolf was in sight, only realizing when he heard his name that he was standing awfully close to the speaker. a tree? “uhhhh, yes there is?” he chirruped, looking up at the tree. the cat within jumped down, startling him somewhat. his eyes were fixed on the smol, marvelous creature, his pupils blown wide out of proportion as he observed the house cat. “mmolive, you ok tho, right?” he asked without looking away.

Orlaith could smell that of outsiders — but more curiously how barely any was like that of canine. Were the foxes returning? An air to the stank of them yet wasn't exactly like so, something more similar to an annoyance she met long ago, a raccoon. It brought an air of irritation, an aggression to her ruffled fur as she thought he would return. Even worse if the bastard was to mess with the High Queen, who only recently given birth a while ago but assumed desired a stretching of legs. Misfortune to have meet more along the borders, but she was diligent as ever, especially when others were unavoidable. It wouldn't be missed by the Vanderfell wolves to those who are visiting, especially as one scent seemed to be a common passerby to the craig..

She skulked from the background, a narrowed look to the rest. A cautious gaze sweeping with an irritable tail rushing by as she turned to stand beside that of Ira. They at the moment held neutral like ways, neither attacking nor' of a hostility.. It brought a strange feeling, how relaxed it was. With no orders gained or a howl to summons, she was but an aggressive bystander, guarding closely to the other as a backup if so needed.

And so the other would admit her suspicions. A...cat traveled with her which on its own was bizarre and confusing, but what more is that it believed itself to be a protector of them. Ira wasn't sure if there was something wrong with this mountain lion or if it had simply been playing a smart game to corral prey for the harsher months as the cold and snow set in. It seemed that it might be the latter as the woman explained that he was relatively harmless despite his nature. How unfortunate, especially as she traveled with someone young, but it did not seem like her place to correct her ways or warn her of a suspicion when she knew none of them.

There would be little time to mull over the details longer though as another voice soon came, though this one from the trees. Ira had instinctively taken a step back, actively aware that there was indeed a mountain lion roaming nearby now, though she only looked on with intensity as opposed to hostility until a small face poked through the leaves. The high queen took a moment to process, as she blinked in confusion. Surely this was not the mountain lion they had referred to. Had it been she would have questioned the integrity of the woman's mind, but the cat confirmed himself that he was not who she was looking for. What more, this cat could understand them...

Just as she thought she might have fully wrapped her thoughts around the new events, this so-called "Benry" finally showed up, leisuring by only to stop when he too caught sight of the small cat. "Molive" seemed to be the name of the pale woman, something...rather strange, but perhaps it was traditional to another culture. Now though with two cats and a passive stranger, Ira couldn't help but feel like this little stay was beginning to outlast her welcome. Once more, instincts would get the best of her as the fur along her nape began to rise at the mere sight of the lion, though a blessing from the gods would be bestowed upon her as she felt the familiar presence of Orlaith at her side.

A thankful gaze was given the warden's way though she refused to keep her eyes off the others longer than she needed to so she would quickly try to organize her thoughts once more to deal with...all of this. I will cut to my point since you seem to have...most of your party in order. If you seek somewhere I will direct you, though given your company, no matter the nature, I can not feel comfortable with you staying as my own children live in close proximity. This land is where we hunt. Passing through is one thing, but the risk of brood, of my people, is not something I hold lightly. Given you have a child under your care, I'm sure you understand. The fact that these creatures could understand was still baffling, though it was not the first she had encountered since living here. The start of summer brought a mother bear and her cubs, their words reaching her ears just as these two did now.

She thought once that it may be a fluke, but now it seemed to be more than that. Either those of this land had come to know wolves well enough to speak a common language, or the land was different from that of which she came. Long ago had she given up trying to make peace with her mind in understanding this world, how she had come, or the reasoning behind it. It mattered little now when she still had a life to live and friends at her side, but now more than ever did it seem her original theory may rain true. The gods had placed them all here for whatever reason. It was no Ragnarok and it was no Valhalla, but it was something. If words had been bestowed to them all to hold peace, then words were to be used before fang, though it was curious still how not all spoke. Perhaps it was only the hunters who often scavenged for the same needs that now understood each other, for she had yet to hear her prey beg for their life. Maybe the prey could understand each other, though she could never be certain if that had been the case before now.

11-10-2021, 03:15 PM (This post was last modified: 12-03-2021, 06:15 PM by Olive. Edited 1 time in total.)
A series of interesting events happened after Olive addressed the prattle in the trees. A voice affirmed it wasn't Benry, which at first alarmed the willow wolf; but instead of another threat, a miniature cat stepped out of the canopy and addressed the roan and pale women together. Olive (and she assumed Ira too) stood blinking at the newest addition, surprised simultaneously that it was not her rogue protector and also at the tininess of this particular feline. Then Benry did actually appear, wresting her attention away from the little stranger, and she just opened her mouth to respond to him when a third new presence made itself known in this succession, though the imposing firebrand elected to stay silent and deferred to her superior. Olive was grateful when the first woman took the reins of the whole experience, which quickly became overwhelming.

It was not surprisingly that her party was politely told to move on, though no part of her believed Benry's species to be the reason for it. It was simply too chaotic for a leader to feel secure about, especially one who had so recently had a litter. Truthfully, if the mother hadn't made her request first, Olive would have taken her leave of this place anyways, not entirely interested in making others feel uncomfortable for her own personal gain, or inviting more strife into their lives. "That is a call I would have made myself, if I were in your place," the sylph agreed, tipping her crown in mutual recognition of their true desires, made plain. It was at this moment that Olive body found its sense of movement, and glided to the larger feline's side, brushing up against his shoulder reassuringly.

"Dear friend, we must move on. This is not the place to find respite," she spoke softly, but loudly enough for it to be heard by all. Attempting to make this experience a good one, one of growth for all involved, the woman wagged her tail and pushed against her golden friend's shoulder, guiding him away from this tense group, but the thought that gripped her mind would not lessen its hold. Olive knew, if she didn't voice this particular idea, it would not leave her and sleep would likely evade her for days. It was the same restlessness that always overcame her when Olive missed an opportunity to help womankind, or sharpen her skills.

"I feel compelled to offer my services, as an herbalist and a midwife," she finally said, turning back to the only wolf she could possibly be addressing with this offer. "Have yourselves any need, in exchange for a meal or two for the child?" This was always close to mind, and to heart. "He's very hungry." and, no, Olive's offer of autumnal insects apparently wouldn't do.

From his perch on high, the man looked down at the two she-wolves. They both seemed quite astonished at his appearance which amused the man. It was better than heightened aggression and anger or hunger. He gave a crooked half-smile while amber eyes focused on them... but then someone else showed up. Well two, really, but the other wolf was just an added side. No, the important one was the large "mountain lion". Moosebellow believed him to be straight out of the tales that the elders told. Although, this clearly male cat was lacking the characteristic manes of the sun-cats. They were supposed to be massive with flowing manes... where was his? The brown cat was clearly confused as he looked down at the puma with a frown. What was this? Was this particular one cursed or something?

The man looked at him with dilated eyes, staring, and Moosebellow stared back. His tail flicked side-to-side cautiously, unsure of what to make of the LionClan warrior. Surely he couldn't be a warrior with a name like "Benry". That wasn't like any of the names he'd heard before, not even in the days before the clans. Maybe this one was cursed and had been a kittypet or something. A lion as a kittypet... that was certainly new. He had questions he wanted to ask but it was clear that the meeting was coming to a close. His ear flicked around towards the wolf who'd initiated this whole meetup as she indicated that this was as far as anything needed to go. Yes, everyone was preparing to take their leave.

Was that his cue to get out of here?

 But the LionClan warrior...

He inhaled the scent of "Benry" and the Medicine Wolf. He made that well-known stinky face that cats did as he let the smells wash into his mouth so that he could remember it for later so that he might track them down. Then, using that exit strategy he disengaged eye contact with the puma and called out a hasty, "Later!" As he bolted to one of the rear branches of the tree and flung himself to a neighboring tree and quickly scaled downwards and disappeared into the forest.

Ira watched as the small feline seemingly had enough. Perhaps it too took to her warning, though she was less concerned with such a small creature and more so with the lion that could easily kill one of them or feast upon her children. Fortunately, it seemed words would be her saving grace today not fangs. With an understanding nod, she looked between the two, though they did not go just yet. The pale one wished to bargain.

So far she had yet to see this child that she spoke of. If they were alone thus far with neither the feline protector or guardian then it was clear they couldn't be as young as she once thought. It was the sad reality of being packless. It was why most waited until yearlings to leave. Can the boy not hunt for himself? These were skills he would need to survive all his life. Waiting on him hand and foot would do neither good.

Perhaps your luck will fair better to the north. She had her own children to think of now. Their own mouths to feed and even with the surplus in the run, that was not a surplus in her caches. She of course had the care she needed amongst her pack, she likely would not have even considered children had they not the paws and resources to care for them. I have my own to care for, so with all the best, please go.

Her offer was not received well; in fact, it was barely received at all. Olive, who's patience had little reason to be waning seeing as she was on packland territory, was feeling her nerves begin to fire in an agitated manner. Maybe it was the fact that this roan woman had found her, and not immediately had done everything in their power to help, as Olive would have done for any stranger. Possibly, it was the purposeful misunderstanding that Archon needed her to hunt for him. Perhaps it was frustration over unwittingly leading her small group into a place where they could neither sup, nor rest. Either way, she was no longer desired here, and she no longer had a desire to be here. "Come," she bade her feline companion through gritted molars, to attempt to find a meal elsewhere.  She needed to find Archon, he was around here. And somewhere along the way, she knew she would find path north, too.

Tensions only seemed to rise in her refusal, something she well expected given the nature of her situation. Though she was a loner, one with the care of a cat and winter was coming. They should manage just fine and if they didn't there were more issues afoot than her denying them something they should be capable of. Golden eyes shifted from another set to the tightness in the woman's jaw. A single word was spoken through gritted teeth as she bid her companion to follow.

Ira had no reason to grow defensive despite how easily she might cut the air. In the end, she said they would leave and really that was all she had wanted, so she watched and waited as they cast their glances and took their leave. Once they were gone she would turn her gaze back to Orlaith, a silent message sent through her eyes for her support as she passed the warden with a light brunt of her shoulder.

A strange combo, she would admit. A woman with a child, and a few others lingering upon her smell with a cat at their heels — but it didn't seem he was a close companion, for he left rather quickly. Yet the larger one, was not to be unnoticed.  She wondered if her presence brought the other to leave, and held her head just a bit higher as the background guard of the Queen. Remaining silent, but watching with an eye toward them all — a bodyguard of wariness, but didn't enter to a frenzy of hostility. They seemed harmless enough, but wanders who are asking a bit more then they should, Orlaith thought. Though the Queen dealt with them swiftly.

When asked to leave she was more guarded, a preparation if needed to escort them out — or ride along Ira if it came to be to use a bit of more force. She would hope they know better, especially with a child, Though a lion may be a difficult fleet to fight over ; the Vanderfell warriors were not alone, and especially as they were so close to their home territory. But she would watch, and wait alongside the High Queen until they left, before leaving once she was given the slightest touch of comfort, that all was fine, and they may depart.
