 How rude it was that Vera wouldn't share that leg! Huff! Really though! He deserved more than just those bits she offered for running this favor. He wasn't beholden to her. She wasn't one of his wolves... or rather, she was his wolf because he was starting to like her but not his his wolf like Ragnar and the little Ragnars and the female Ragnar. Whatever. At least she fed him more. If he stayed with her, he was going to end up absolutely bloated! But he'd be happy.

 He followed her directions and flew around until he laid eyes on a white wolf. A male wolf, small thing, like that wolf Vera wouldn't let him eat.

 He circled above the white wolf, circling lower and lower until he was very close to the fellow. "You from Shir-OH- sheekar?" Stupid name for a stupid group of wolves. All these dumb, weird names. Disgraceful. No proper cawing out of them at all. This better be one of those wolves or he'd give up and go elsewhere to preen or eat.

The young prince had spent the greater half of the morning getting familiar with the lay of the land, and therefore, did what Haruki had assumed was “prince-y behavior,” by scouting and patrolling, and what have you. Ah, but that was such tiring work, and Haruki had decided that he needed a nap, so he’d curled under some of the cherry blossom trees and went to sleep.

By the time the birb found him, Haruki was curled on his back with his back leg kickin’ and he was barking in his sleep. And then, suddenly, there was a smell that he didn’t really know, followed by a voice. A voice, too, that he didn’t know. Was someone coming to see the famous returned, lost prince? Quickly, Haruki barked, rolling over and immediately standing, [glancing around a few times until he glanced down at… a birb?

Wooah, do birbs talk? No, yet… this one seemed to be staring right at him! It was unnerving. “What…. What did you say?” Cus nothing would happen, right, cus birbs don’t talk.

 Was this guy serious? He was napping here being lazy, LAZY! The birb finished his circling and then landed before the white wolf, an impatient look on his face. He was on no mood for this! He had just gotten yelled at by Miss Grumpystupidtail. "сТУПИД вОЛФ! дО ЫОУ ХАЖЕ ВОРМС ИН ЫОУР ЕАРС?!" — "STUPID WOLF! DO YOU HAVE WORMS IN YOUR EARS?!" He screeched out in his native tongue angrily! He huffed and puffed and then realized he wasn't going on in Common. He quickly corrected that, "Krakarak said 'you from Shir-OH-sheekar?!" He clacked his beak in annoyance before deciding that he would continue on whether he was or not!

 He cleared his throat and continued, "You better listen! Krakarak only say once! Krakawa! SO OPEN STUPID EARS!" He could tell this one could be bullied, or should be bullied. He needed to let off steam after he got laid into. "Your queen over there!" He pointed with a wing, back the way he flew from. "Vera say 'BRING SHIR-OH-SHEEKA WOLFS!' So I bring. Krakaw! You come! 'Cause your queen DEAD!" He... really had no tact. "You come with Krakarak now!" He lifted off the ground then and began to circle away, expecting the boy to follow him.

^^Haruki had never met a talking birb nor had he considered that birbs could talk?! Excuse me, he could have been home months ago, had he just recruited birbs to look for mother. Yet, instead, it’d taken him nearly a year, and he was still getting used to the lay of the land, and unfamiliar faces.

Haruki was silent for some time as hes stared at the cute, little birb as he got all hot and bothered, causing Haruki to tilt his head. He decided right then that he needed to go to the forest to make a birb friend. He’d even debated just walking right past the birb, but he was being told to open his ears? Did this one not realize how ears worked?

“They point up. They’re kinda always open.” Haruki scoffed back, wondering which baffoon had put the birb up to this. And then he went on about his queen, being over there, cus she was dead. Haruki blinked, unsure what to make of this, but decided that he would follow anyway. “This better not be a joke.. ” Haruki grumbled, though on second thought, Haruki realized that he hoped that it was. He'd just got his mother back. He didn't want to have to say goodbye.

 "No they not! Krakaw! 'Cause they closed 'cause you... YOU DUMB STUPID WOLF THAT WHY! KRAK KRAK!" He had had such a dopey look on his face and said such a dopey comment that he was tempted to just fly off. He almost did! Just was about to flap off on his merry way but, he did this for Vera.

 But mostly for the tasty treats she offered. That was it. He couldn't care less about all this stupid, pointless drama. So if what some dumb queen died? She wasn't his!! queen.

 At least the guy was following though, although he didn't appreciate the grumbling. "KRAW! Why Krakarak joke? He think of more funny joke than this! Krakaw! This no joke! He serious!" And then he'd huff as he flew ahead of the wolf, picking up the pace a bit because he didn't like his tone!

 Ah, but he'd see soon. Then Krakarak would laugh and, uh, have the last laugh!
