Welcome to Canis Major

a wolf and animal rpg (role-playing game)

Canis is a writing community for play-by-post (forum-based), freeform roleplay set in a fictional dream world in the intrusion fantasy genre. Most characters on Canis are wolves; many play elements are focused around wolves and canids, but the world makes room for a large variety of other animal characters such as dogs, horses, cats, bears, deer, and many, many more.

Our community is focused on flexibility, creativity, and collaboration. That boils down to a few important features:

  • There is no set activity requirement to write
  • The setting and plot are member-created and staff-supported
  • The game is continuously improved to increase fun and decrease stress

The craig held bountiful delights, and she in particular held a love for now what was dubbed; as a pumpkin. A mystery of so, but she found the inside delicious even if the outside wasn't so lovable. They came in forms of patches that she had to hunt down throughout the run, as in general the outside was rather scentless, but they were bright and orange enough that with searching, one could come across.

Orlaith found it easier when she would roll the pumpkin through and it hit something, for they were very difficult to open. Many times would she roll them up a hill and downwards, and crack it open. At the current time being, the pumpkin was split in half and she used her paws to dig the 'intestines' out as well as the seeds. They weren't really tasty.

Midnight was properly wary of packs ever since meeting the gargantuan Alduin. He had been nice enough, but she just wasn't about that sex cult life or being forced to respect anyone who referred to her as a stray. It hardly seemed worth her time to ooh and ahh in order to pacify the two of them and their need for mindless worship.

She didn't know much about the other packs and could only hope a few of them were normal. Normal in the sense that respect was earned, not demanded -- it was something that stuck in her craw, clearly.

There was a woman nearby, Midnight noticed. Squinting didn't help clarify what sort of object the stranger was messing with, but the determination was enough to pique her interest. "What is that thing?" the shadow asked curiously, coming to pause a respectful (ha!) distance away.

She was about to roll another one, not to really eat, but more it was an amusing touch. To watch them roll and flail to the floor before smashing directly against a tree, and into smitherians. Except just as she was about to, she had caught not only the scent of someone within the area, but as well as their general appearance. Her paw upon the pumpkin and a forested-glare ahead, fur minorly ruffled to the site of this woman.

"You are in Vanderfell territory, miss." She said through the gritting of her teeth and a narrowed look ahead.
